They Treat there employees like crap there was no notification about the layoffs and was not told anything when I was hired I am glad this place closed the management needs to work on there communication my direct supervisor was hardly avalible and hardly communicated with me. I just got discharged from this hospital and I felt compelled to come here to leave this review. This hospital has by far the best staff. From the check-in staff to the nurses and the anesthesiologists. Every single person who I came into contact with during my hospitalization has been nothing but absolutely amazing. They were all so extremely helpful and friendly, that I can't name just one person who gave such great service. I truly felt I was in great hands my entire stay. Would absolutely recommend this hospital if you had the choice to come here for whatever surgical needs you might have. read more

Let me start off by saying, I didn't know this place existed. When I got told that my surgery for knee replacement was to be taken here, my first instincts were like, WTH! I knew very little of this place and started my research online. This procedure was very important to me and I wanted the best care possible. Fast forward to yesterday. I took my surgeon Dr. Whang advice on the hospital and here I am. Pre-op appointment was friendly and very informational. Day of surgery, I was greeted with lots of enthusiasm and professionalism. The nursing staff was very helpful and made me feel at ease. Surgery went well and my post op was even better. Super attentive to my needs and always checking in. They made me feel like I was receiving A+ care. I gotta say friends, with all honestly, I'd come back here anytime. The food was a step up from the other places and the facility was super sanitized. Off to a shitty start already.. my doctors office told me my appointment is at 2:34 must show up at 12.30. Ahhh ok. I do my bowel prep at 7:30 as instructed. Now I'm shitting ass like the old faithful! 10pm comes I get a phone call telling me I was suppose to be there at 8am, and my procedure is supposed to have been done at 11. Wtf???? They ask me if I still plan to show up. 1: I've been starving for 3 days! 2: I've been shitting ass for two days. Do I still plan on coming in? She rudely says, my doctors office got the time wrong. DO I LOOK LIKE I CARE??? Between you and my doctors office the communication got messed up. Plus if I was suppose to show up at 8am why the hell are you calling me at 10am asking if I'm. Still going to want to do the procedure??? Lies lies lies. I don't have time for this. You guys need to get a new scheduler. My nurse. Jose, Christine. They are the greatest. I'm extremely hard to have an IV started but she got it in one poke. Great service all accept the schedule part. read more

I had to have knee surgery and would have put it off due to COVID-19, but was referred to Stanislaus Surgical Hospital. I felt very safe because they don't have an Emergency Department and don't see sick people. They only do surgeries. The staff were very helpful and friendly and it was super quiet in my room. The hospital is very clean and the food is delicious. Not your typical hospital at all. If I had a choice, I would never go to a regular hospital again. read more

Everything was great (besides the wait) The surgical staff were very friendly and kind. Very accommodating until I was discharged. I just had surgery and as we were leaving the parking lot I asked my son to drop off the prescription for pain meds on the way home; this is when we realized there was no prescription in the paperwork. We went back to find out where the prescription was and they said it should have been given at the pre op appointment or in my paperwork with post op instructions, which it was not... They sent me home with the advice of loading up on Motrin until I could get a hold of the doctor in the morning I am in healthcare and this is not an appropriate response. I have two surgical sites in one day sip my body is slightly uncomfortable... They could have either dispensed meds to get me through the night, written a prescription, called the physician who did my surgery... Nope, just dais call the doc in the morning Can't wait for the meds they gave in recovery to wear off. Maybe I can bite on a bamboo stick and load up on alcohol for pain control. Those people were not humane. read more

This is my second procedure here. The first one was great. Everybody was awesome and the procedure went well. This time, everybody was great except for the RN did not wait for me to be sedated before she started the procedure. I yelled out in pain and the sedation RN apologized and sedated me more. The other RN should have checked to see if I was sedated yet before she started the procedure. It was very painful and I will not return for that reason. read more

I had a endoscopy procedure at this site and was extremely pleased. I was terrified when going in especially being my first time. The nurses were super nice! My three nurses in the procedure room were wonderful. They kept conversation with me kept me calm and comfortable the whole time. These 3 Nurses are what healthcare is about and I'm so thankful to have had them in the room with me. read more

I arrived here looking for my in home client because she was dropped off waiting for her cataract surgery. When I initially walked in, I did not see my client sitting in waiting area and asked the staff at front desk about her . One female staff was looking for information and was helpful. Out of no where , one of the other ladies mentioned in rude tone , "she is sitting right there !" I'm big on first impressions , so I just felt a little unwelcomed. There is a right way to greet someone and not use a rude tone to address something simple . I just felt a little awkward because everyone heard it and just stared at me . It's too early for me to be teaching a grown adult of how to greet someone the right way . read more

My mom recently had a knee replacement and I'm doing this review for her. She had her other knee done two years ago in Nevada and was apprehensive about doing the other knee due to her experience. This surgery has been such a positive experience from beginning to end. The staff was great, Dr. Purnell and Marco are amazing, the food was so good she could have stayed another week. I am a physician, but I was also a patient at Stanislaus Surgical Hospital (SSH) in June 2012. I would be hard pressed to describe the level of rudeness, incompetence and unhelpfulness of the billing staff, in particular. I will NEVER go back to this center. SSH is a privately owned/operated business, and they conduct themselves in a cut throat manner. They are the only medical delivery institution that I know of that demands full payment in advance of any procedures, PRIOR to even billing the insurance company (and I have GREAT insurance). In addition, I wasn't even provided with an itemized bill, and when I requested one, the look of disbelief and astonishment on the part of the staff was beyond description (you'd think I'd just asked to look at their financial records). Bottom line: Vote with your Health Savings Account/Insurance dollars/Out of pocket expenses by taking your business elsewhere. Unfortunately, too many patients think they don't have a choice when it comes to where a medical procedure is done. We have choices. read more

Our father was scheduled for a 25 to 30 minute procedure on his eye. We were asked to be at the hospital at 1:15, and his surgery was scheduled for 3:15. We arrived on time, and signed in, and there begins the tale. We waited, and waited, and then they called him back to pre op. Where we waited, and waited, and waited and.....waited. I have no complaints regarding the care Dad received, the doctor, nurses, and staff were all caring professionals. The facility was nice and clean. However, we did not leave the hospital until after 8:00 pm. They closed the lobby, and we were ushered upstairs to wait some more on a medical floor. All in all we had a 7 hour wait for a 30 minute procedure. I don't know why they didn't ask us to reschedule if they were so far behind. We live an hour away from the facility, so after all of that waiting, we had a long drive to look forward to, getting us home well after dark. I am happy to report, Dad is doing well, and it seems the procedure was a success. read more

i recently had surgery at this hospital and it was top notch. i have no complaints at all. the staff was kind, caring and professional. dietary was wonderful as i have celiac so every meal was gluten free, healthy and delicious. i recommend this facility for short term stay post op. completely. read more

The facility may be nice, but the manner in which it was run was not very professional. They were late showing up (we were the first surgery and the front desk was not even here at the scheduled time). The ladies at the front desk were more concerned about their music and their hair than the patients who had be waiting for them to show up. There was no urgency, the staff was cold and unwelcoming, and the waiting room was freezing. If you have plans to come, be prepared for the lack of professionalism here. read more

This is the third time we have been to this surgery center for the same procedure. Twice for my wife and once for me. All three times we did encounter some nice people but for the most part they are rude, do not care about the patients and care only about the money. They were rude upon check-in. The front desk staff clearly do not want to be bothered by those pesky patients. Clearly their personal lives are much more important. Beyond the front desk, in pre-op, the staff were gathered around the counter in the center of the patient stalls, all complaining about their coughs and the colds they were coming down with. Not very sterile, don't you think? Moving on to scheduling, I guess I should have started with that, first they scheduled at one time, then with almost no warning they moved the procedure time an hour and a half earlier without even checking with us. Again they do not consider their patients lives or feelings in any decision they make. Then after the fiasco at check in, and waiting in pre-op, they clearly had their scheduled mixed up! One of the nurses came in stating the dr. Was angry because things weren't scheduled the way he wanted. The anesthesiologist was rude from the get go, because he got too personal and made a fool of himself. From that moment on, he treated my wife horribly!! The nurse Carlos was nice. And though not Stan. Surg.'s fault, the Dr. Was a jerk too. Until the moment she went under they were all very rude to her, which caused her to go to sleep upset and therefore wake up upset. When she woke up, the nurse was guessing about the results of the procedure instead of waiting to hear from the dr. When my wife asked for me to come in, they refused and she got even more agitated! Finally they called me in to "calm her down" because she was "cursing" even though it was against their policy. They cited their privacy policy, however they did not seem to care about privacy up until the beginning of the procedure. After I was allowed to "calm her down", I had to chase the dr down, even though I was promised I could talk to him after. The staff was uncaring and rude. TBH I will never go there again, no matter what procedure I need done. I would rather go anywhere else. Fair warning, do not use Stanislaus surgery center. read more

I had surgery on my ankle almost a year ago (03/17/16) at this facility. I was a cash paying customer and was required to pay for all of my services up front. I did exactly that and just received a bill in the mail that I now owe an additional $2,000. What kind of place requires you to pay for all your surgery upfront, not tell you about 'additional' charges, and then demand payment 11 months later???? Not to mention, I have never been in more pain in my life as I was after that operation! In the future, I will let anyone I know going there for surgery that they better be prepared to pay "an arm and a leg" (no pun intended) for their services..... And here I thought I was just going for the leg....... read more

My mom just had her knee replacement surgery yesterday and I found out that she fell today in the bathroom. I guess the nurses are not attentive to her. When I called to find out what happened, the nurse was snippy with me. Really? You're going to let your patient just fall after a knee replacement surgery? Not even an apology or even to reassure me that they're taking good care of her. Just a bunch of excuses about how one person wasn't enough to bring her up.
