The bottom line up front is Stanley Steemer and the two men team of Cory and Cameron Ware, were the epitome of professionalism and knew what they were doing. I only wish I had taken a picture of the small section they did so I could see what the difference was going to be. It was amazing and clearly an example of night and day. Next, When service providers give you a window, probably and most of the time when they say they will show up between 8 and 12, that means 12 and 1. Well Cory and Cameron knocked on my door at 8:05am and what a pleasant surprise. Scheduled a hard wood floor cleaning In Fredericksburg VA. Seth showed up and didn't have the equipment needed for wax removal. Seth gave me a price and I agreed and he said he would call to schedule. Never received a call, but an email scheduling for Thursday, then changed Saturday, then another email changing to Monday. I left a message with Seth but no response. He said he was part of management, but should be more invested in customer service. At the end of our scheduled 5 hour block on Monday, I called to see when we could expect them only to find out we were supposedly not on their schedule at all. Wasted a day off. Unacceptable. Also, if they respond to this review and claim to apologize, just know they do nothing about it, because most of the reviews are the same. read more

I only got an estimate done for air duct cleaning and dryer vent cleaning but I would give it a 5/5. Logan was the person who came to my house and represented the company really well. He was knowledge, very friendly (to myself, pets, and kids), and honest. There was no pressure to sign up or schedule right away, which was great, because who likes pressure from any company? The estimate was reasonable, much more reasonable than the estimate I received from another local company. If we do get the service done, I'd get it done from this company and I'll leave another review for the service itself. read more

Recently used for a move out carpet cleaning-paid cash and the carpets looked the same as before, were dry and did not even show the lines of the brush on the carpet. My landlord them charged me for having to actually clean the carpets. I complained to stanley steamer and was offered a gift certificate. After that experience why would I ever want to use this company? Now I have to seek a lawyer for paying over $300 in total for the carpet to be cleaned twice! read more

They did the entire upstairs in like 10 minutes. It takes me longer just to vacuum it. The carpet is still dirty.

The first crew that came out were horrible. Contacted customer service. The manager came out and a second crew and the second crew lived up to all the reviews I'd seen!! The second cleaning was wonderful!! Even removed spots I didn't think would come out. Would recommend!! read more

So I called these people upon reading their website. Now according to the website it says they will move your furniture, doesn't state what furniture and no one ever said what they moved when they came in my house. So I'm paying for a full room and they only did half the room. I am not satisfied with this or the cost they charged for doing half the room. I will not be calling them again and nobody ever said on the phone or website what kind of furniture they can or can not move.they don't deserve one star read more

My customer (we have a construction company) needed carpets cleaned after we replaced all the windows in their home and stuff was tracked in. I've relied on Stanley Steamer for years for cleaning my home carpets. They always were professional and wear booties over the shoes to not track dirt, mud, stuff from driveway onto the carpets as they cleaned, taking them off if the need to walk back outside. I was shocked to learn that they no longer take that kind of attitude to leave it better than they found it. I called Stanley Steamer, Fredericksburg VA and arranged for this customer to get all her carpets cleaned. When the techs arrive they worn their street shoes into the home, tracking mud, dirt and debris onto the hardwood and carpets. They also used their shoes to apply pretreatment ( customer was upset to say the least) into the carpet leaving a bigger mess. Well needless to say our customer was very, very upset with the techs attitude when she offered them a cloth or brush to apply the solution and booties to cover their shoes, which they refused. Instead they stated to her "this is how we do it and the booties were not required by the company". After speaking with the Manager (she clearly sets a low standard for her techs) who informed me she would not take responsibility for getting the carpet clean (isn't that what you are paid to do?) and would not explain the process of how they were to clean carpet without creating a mess by wearing street shoes. Also informed me she was trying on wedding dresses, which was to clearly say "I could care less". After a few huffy moments from her, explanation was they provided their techs shoes to wear, however refused to see the logic that if they wear those shoes out in the mud, dirt and debris on the driveway that it really doesn't keep them on task, mission one was clean the carpet!! She sent them back in to clean again with the booties on, however they wore those booties in and out onto the dirt, mud and debris. Good golly!!! Do you not understand where dirty carpets come from!! We will not use them again! I had to leave a credit card on file and asked that they not run the card til I made sure the customer was satisfied. Techs were their making a mess on Saturday, they ran my credit card first thing Monday morning (deceitful) and now I'm disputing those charges. Will not be using Stanley Steamer until Management changes because they have the right tools and equipment, but no standards (metrics) on how to use them, nor the right attitude towards the customer. However, the office staff was wonderful to speak with every time, she needs pay raise. read more

Sofa looks new! My 2 dogs like to use the front of the sofa for their napkin. I remembered how SS cleaned the carpet at my rental house (looked like new) so I thought I'd give it a try since I have company coming. OMG! I was shocked. The sofa looks new (he worked so hard). I also have an wool area carpet 6x10 which they cleaned and deodorized. What a huge difference. It doesn't get any better. Thank you!!! read more
