I was in need of a label maker and researched what I wanted before going to the store. I walked in and asked the first person I saw where they were located...he told me the location, however, since the store had been remodeled somewhat, the location of the item was not clear. There was another employee helping a customer, so I was just looking to see if I could find it myself. When she finished with the other customer, she immediately asked if I needed help. Not only did she go with me to find what I needed, she helped me find something they don't carry in the store and ordered it for me (having it shipped to my home). This employee (Veronica) totally went out of her way and gave above-and-beyond customer service to me, which is rare these days. Thank you so much, Veronica. Overall a good store for regular everyday office supplies. Super easy to recycle ink cartridges and get $2 for each one back in the mail in the form of a Staples store certificate. Always a pleasant experience with their employees. Seems like I'm asked two or three times during each visit if I need help finding anything. read more

Terrible customer service. Manager James is an totally inept. I purchased a laptop in the another store and asked if they could price match a $50 coupon. The associate was assisting me and was going to honor the price match for good customer service. James got involved and basically told me to leave and they would not honor the price match after associate had been working on it. The manager kept pointing to the back of the receipt which states 14 day return policy. I wasn't trying to return it. I was trying to price match their own sale price from STAPLES. read more

I had someone go to buy a monitor for me that was on special, and the Sales person REFUSED TO HONOR THE COUPON code, even though lots of other people have bought it using that same coupon. When I asked to speak with the STORE MANAGER he (name is Montee) *bluntly* REFUSED TO SPEAK with me on the phone. Is that how Staples trains it's managers to refuse to speak with customers? I love this Staples! There is one closer to me, but I go to this one more often because I have always gotten such great service here. I just recently opened my own small business so I go to Staples a lot. They have so much stuff for small businesses like forms, filing stuff, software, calendars, accounting supplies, plus regular office stuff. They have a ton of great print services too! My first experience with this location was when I ordered some same-day business cards online and selected the Coleman Ave location for pick-up. A salesperson from Coleman called me first thing in the morning and said that their color printer was not printing my cards well (smearing, blotchy, etc) and she said they could transfer the job to the Hamilton location. I agreed but I was skeptical about it, I figured something would get messed up in translation or that my order would be their last priority printing their own stuff first. I was pleasantly surprised to get a call a couple of hours later letting me know they were ready. When I got there Sheila in the printing department was awesome! She showed me my cards and they looked great! I had some other documents that I wanted printed off a USB drive and she printed them out right then and let me look at them before she made the copies I wanted. One of the documents wasn't formatted correctly (I had converted it from Mac to PC and some of the things didn't come out right) and she let me come behind the counter and fix it on her computer! Sheila was really helpful and went the extra mile for me, she helped me get what I wanted quickly and took care to see that everything looked right. She was personable and had no problems joking and chatting with me while we were getting my documents ready. The print services prices are great too, the same-day business cards start at just 30 bucks and that even includes full color, the quality is good too, very professional. I agree with some of the other reviews, there are usually not a ton of salespeople just walking around asking if you need help, but it's really not a big deal. In this economy a lot of businesses are cutting their staff. I just ask someone at one of the counters if I need something that I can't find. They are always friendly and helpful and are able to explain clearly where to find something. So, yes, you have to be able to shop independently, and sure it's kind of in a weird location, and yeah there is that one guy who works the service desk who has crazy eyes and is always really slow ringing people up, but that gives it character! In my opinion the good people and services outweigh the quirks, they always have what I need for my business so I will continue to shop here. read more

This Staples is garbage with piss poor customer service. There was an ad on tv for a sale and they failed to mention that you have to make a minimum purchase to get the sale, So I went to Staples to find and find out the bad news. I complained to the management with no regard to the misleading ad. I know how customer service works and normally the management could make an acception to the rule and give me the sale price without having to make the required minimum purchase. Generally a manager wants to do what he can to make the customer happy, so he'll return for business but not in this case. They are rude and inconsiderate. I normally wouldn't go to Staples because it's out of the way and there are so many other office supply stores closer with better prices (plus Target and Walmart). I can't speak on all of the Staples but I'll never goto this particular Staples and I recommend you don't either. As for the other Stapples locations, the Campbell location left a sour taste in my mouth and I don't think I'll ever goto a staples again. If i could, I'd give it a negative 5 star rating. read more

It takes a lot for me to give a one star to a business. From the time I walked in where no one greeted me to the time I asked a young man with dark hair and glasses to assist me who then responded with a heavy sigh and rolled his eyes (guess I was disturbing him) to the chilly and unfriendly checkout person, the customer experience was of the worst I have ever received. Now I know why everyone goes to Fry's. As a business consultant, I might coach the manager to train the team how to provide exceptional customer experience. There are lots of companies out there who do it right - Disney, Nordstrom, State Farm, Starbucks... this was my last visit to Staples. read more

I wish i could give them no stars, 1 star implies that something went right....in my situation there was NO positive here. I went in because i run my business from home- i have to have a working printer, scanner, fax and i use a mac computer. It is always a struggle to find a machine that works well with macs (even the HPs have given me trouble). I went into the store very frustrated because my last printer went back and forth to HP and never worked right so i wanted help finding a printer. The sales associate was super nice, i explained NO HP printers, that i had a mac and i needed a printer, scanner, fax and preferably with wireless capabilities. He gave some recommendations and i chose one. The kicker is he "sold" me on Staples Product Protection Plan saying " I know you had trouble with your printer but if you buy this then if you have any problems with this one they will send you a gift card in the mail and you can come back and chose a different one". I thought it sounded too good to be true, but i just had a stellar experience with Toys'r'us protection plan, in that they sent me a CHECK to reimburse me for a $300 product i bought and just decided i didnt want (nothing was wrong with it)! So i thought this would be just as great. Needless to say, Staples Product Protection Plan is HORRIBLE! The printer never worked right- NEVER! I had to go out and buy another printer because it was after the 14 day regular return policy (honestly they can't give you 30 days?!) I called the protection plan 800 number, they had no record i ever bought the plan i had to fax my receipt, but their fax machine didnt work so i had to email it, then i was supposed to call them 3-5 business days later. I called about a month later and they still hadn't inputed my receipt. And then the kicker was, it doesn't even matter because its still under the manufacturers warranty, they wouldnt help me at all. I spoke with customer service and explained that thats not what i was sold, nor did the last 3 people i spoke with every explain i was wasting my time- the woman started going crazy on me, nearly yelling and so i asked to be transferred to a manager. He was super rude, told me he didnt have "God like capabilities to issue a gift card to me"- um excuse me?! Told me i had to talk to the manufacturer but that i should call back in another 3-5 business days to make sure they inputted the plan- is this real life? Honestly i was speechless. What happened to customer service? Staples needs to inform their sales reps about how to explain this product- but at this point i feel like they teach them to mislead people, how else would they get someone to buy one of those stupid plans?! To say i'm frustrated is an understatement, i will NEVER EVER use staples again, and its not about the silly $176.35 its the principle of the matter! read more

After going to fry's electronics to shop for some office supplies and getting horrible customer service... Literally people avoiding eye contact so you won't bug them with questions or telling you to go find someone else from the right department... Staples across the street was the opposite story. Got help finding my stuff right away. Got walked to the items I was searching for. Every person I interacted with was happy to talk to me. On my way back to the car (which I left parked at Fry's cuz I'm smart like that) I managed to loose one of the items I bought. After I realized I lost it, I went back to Staples and they didn't have it. My bad right?! Well, the manager told me to just go grab another one ($7 item). Moral of the story... Epic service from Staples! They could have told me I'm an idiot for loosing my stuff and send me on my way, but they didn't. Good people deserve to be recognized. He explained everything in laywoman's terms and took me step by step through the entire process. Excellent service in all aspects. Went in to buy pens and saw a good deal on an item marked 9.99 reg 21.99. Rang up as 21.99. Manager pulls items and tag off shelf and refuses to honor marked price. Tells me to call corporate. I called regional in LA and Regional manager ignores message. I thinh Office Max and Office Depot will be my next choice. Terrible service. Without a doubt the most unprofessional customer service across the board including the manager. Starting with having to stand a wait while the clerks stopped visiting with each other to having the manager walk right by me while carrying the laptop I was trying to buy and ignoring me completely while he helped a unqualified cashier with basic credit card transaction. There were at least as many employees in the store as customers but for some reason they all had better things to do than assist any of us. WILL NOT be back no matter what the sale prices are. I will say that I usually have a pretty good experience at this store. It is close to work and most items are in stock. Today however there was one person who made the whole experience rather unpleasant because she is not a happy person. I did a return and the person at the register who wasn't with a customer wasn't able to do returns. This person asked "Sheri" if she can do a return. She said "no, they took my keys away from me." She walked away and then was asked to get my item from the shelf and she said out loud "if I didn't come to work in the morning nothing would get done here." All she did from that point on was complain to the employee standing to her left who was stocking the shelves. Seeing that Staples doesn't respond to any of these reviews, I doubt this too will be acknowledged. All I have to say is you can totally improve your customer's experience by getting someone else who wants this job and let "Sheri" go somewhere else where she will be happy. read more

i was looking for a specific kind of pen(ultra-fine, retractable blue sharpie).. they didn't have it in store. just for fun i asked if they had some in the back. they looked it up on the computer; asked how many i wanted; showed me the price; then asked if i wanted it delivered to me(free) or the store(to pickup). 2 days later i got my box of pens. [p.s. i also made sure to tell them i don't want ANY spam or junk mail. if this happens, i'll be back here to update/downgrade.. so far, so good.]. good store, good location, good people. read more

This Staples was my business go to place. I used the printing dept. often and just loved the personal service I would get from Sheila. The overall customer service and management were lacking and never enough staff, but I always got great service at the printing desk and that is why I continued to come here. Unfortunately Sheila is no longer here, and it shows in the lack of performance in the printing dept. I decided to try their new "postal service" today and although there were three employees at the counter no one knew how to do shipping so I had to wait until the printing person chit chatted with a customer. I left and will not be back. There are too many other office supply places that will want my business and provide trained staff. read more

I sometimes buy school supplies and home office supplies here. Back to school stuff can be reasonably priced here for some of the things I was looking for. They actually have everything you could need here for school or home office. The salespeople can be helpful if you have questions not always the best service though. read more

We were greeted by the cashier upon arrival. The employees are very positive and helpful, the manager is very friendly. While I usually go elsewhere for my office supply needs, I think this location will be my go-to for all of that from now on based on the customer service alone. Way to go Staples. Stop by this store to get a poster done for graduation. We got called three times at home about the price change to get the poster done. Every time the price was miss quoted by three different people from the store. Went to the store to find out what's going on and all they could say it was a mistake. The copy center is Too hit or miss! I go in there a lot and have to use the Industrial sized machine that takes awhile to warm up. Some workers can multi task and at least turn it on while I am waiting but most of them can do only one thing at a time at a snails pace. Particularly Julian, who I believe either store manager or assistant manager, might be the reason to go this store. He is very helpful, nice, patient, and gentle. Absolutely TERRIBLE experience with a simple virus removal. After taking my laptop in and being advised the work would take one day I went back the next day to pick up, was told they had not started it yet, but that I would get a call that evening. I did actually get a call evening telling me that the "senior" tech would have to work on it due to some unexpected issues! The bottom line: after several days I went back to get my laptop and signed for the pick up. Upon checking it when I got home I discovered that ALL my documents and photos had disappeared. I went back again with the laptop, left it again, only to find the same problems. A neighbor of mine stepped in and located some of the items and restored them for me. I disputed the charge on my credit card and after months was just now told that Staples sent the signed pick up sheet to them and somehow convinced my credit card company that they are blameless. I would never, ever go back to Staples again. Their tech support is a joke- and it looks like the joke is on me this time. read more
