Our Small Business was just brushed aside by this Big Corporation in a big way... con·de·scend·ing/kändsendiNG/adjective meaning; having or showing a feeling of patronizing superiority... I have been shopping at this store for many years. Our small business depends on our printer for our day to day functions. On March 30,2015 I bought a Brother MFC-9340CD printer & a toner cartridge for $470.00. We used the printer for 4 months, it started smelling like an elecrical fire, so we unplugged it & stopped using it. Today I went to the same Staples that i purchased the product to Exchange/Return the Printer(due to the fire hazard)but i was told otherwise by a sarcastic Manager. He said" Sorry sir, our return policy is 14 days. if you didn't want it, you had time to bring it back. I said, "What about the 1 year warranty? He said,"Sorry, I cannot do anything for you here". He grinned a big smile & gave me a 1-800 number to call the Manufacturer. I said, " I used this printer for 4 months, how was i supposed to know it was sold defective". Then i was told to have a good day, he was only trying to help me, take my printer & leave. Bottom Line, I am BOYCOTTing this big biz after I spent thousands of $$$ with them. read more

Staples flat press print photo cards are the worst quality. They are flimsy, the colors are off, and the images lack any short of clarity. The envelopes are rice paper thin. Spend the money and either go to Costco or Shutterfly. Apparently I uploaded my images incorrectly but that is not what I viewed before I sent over my files so the cutting lines were off. I couldn't log back into my account to see if it was in fact my mistake. I knew I took a chance by having my cards printed at an office supply store, but I wasn't expecting them to be as bad as they are. All 125 cards are in the trash. read more

This review is in response to the other review. When looking for a good place to buy school supplies, I almost didn't go to this Staples because of the 1-star review that it had. I realized, though, that it had only one review and decided to see what horrible thing happened to make it deserve one star. I go on Yelp to see which businesses deserve my business--the ones who have good service, etc. This guy said that the store was clean and the staff was friendly. From my visit, I agree. It is a nice store. However, he decided it deserves a single star because he can't read a box. I think that is a misuse of Yelp and not fair to this Staples store which gives jobs to people in my immediate area. I do not appreciate when people are reckless when writing reviews. Staples almost lost my business over his review and I am sure others have done the same. Hopefully my review helps everyone. The store is perfectly fine and worth going to! read more

Every associate I encountered was rude, arrogant, and seemed completely displeased that they had to assist me.

I have checked this place out twice already they never have anyone who could help customers with what they need when finally you find what you are looking for there is nobody at the register to ring you up. I know they are trying to cut labor but whatever happened to customer service!!! read more

I went to this location because i had to get some reports enlarged and laminated. I went inside and waited in line for 10 mins before i was greeted. When i finally made it to the register I explained to the associate what i needed and he said it would be a 20 mins wait because they needed to turn on and warm up the laminating machine. I said ok and walked around the store to do other shopping. I also was looking for a wireless keyboard and asked the associate in the aisle if i could open the box to look at it because my luck it was the only one that didn't have a display. He said no very rudely and walked away. 30 mins now passed by and i walked back over to laminating station and the associate now told me he forgot to turn on the laminating machine, needless to said i was frustrated at this point. This store has the worst customer service by far! I will not be returning here and will take my business elsewhere. Never again Staples! read more

Just called Staples to see if they had a certain supply for my son before I drove all the way in to town. After going through the typical press #, now press # , I waited six minutes for someone to answer the call. I will not give another minute of my life waiting. I'll just go to Office Depot or Glennies instead. read more

Staples- Escondido, CA March 27, 2014 John and Janine are the only reason why I even think about walking into this store, I had a problem with my computer freezing. Victor convinced me that I had a couple of nasty viruses so I bought Staple's anti-virus Sophos. When I came to pick it up I was told by Charles that he would be right with me. I waited 15 minutes until I complained for a manager to help me. When he did he seemed anxious that there was no work order and made me wait longer until he found it. He never did. He showed me my computer and it appeared to be in safe mode. I asked for it to be taken out of that mode. When the manager or Charles couldn't figure it out, Janine came out and fixed it within minutes. Later after a few days of my computer freezing up when working online and with pdf & word files. I returned with my laptop to be fixed again. I left it there for an hour. I was later called in and showed that it was fixed. I left and tried to use it across the street at Panera only to find out that it was still doing the same thing. I returned again and it was discovered that MacAfee was still on as my anti-virus and was conflicting with Sophos. Joe the tech tried to argue with me that it was added after Sophos. I showed him the date of install and he was sadly mistaken. I left with it supposedly fixed but had to return again! Charles and Frank the manager were there when I left it there again to be fixed. I told them that I wanted a refund on Sophos because my computer problem was not resolved. Frank said Sophos did not show it as having any virus and that the issue was not related to Sophos. He said to leave there for 3 days for a free diagnostic check that would normally cost $69.99 but it would be free. I told I would get back to him on that because something seemed very wrong. When I returned to pick up my laptop John was there. I told him that I was so frustrated that I had to keep coming back and forth. I wanted my computer fixed and I really was losing a lot of time. I am a student teacher and work. I am extremely busy and don't have time for a bunch of bull. He was very nice and understanding. He was calm and patient and discussed a few ideas with me. I appreciated his professionalism and respectful conflict resolution strategies. In conclusion, if they can't even get my anti-virus installed correctly and take my computer out of safe mode, can they really be trusted with anything else?! I started worrying about my private information being misused as all my username and passwords are on all of my bookmarked websites. John did assure me that they upheld their customer's confidentiality and kept their sensitive information private. I sure hope so. I am still not fully convinced that they are the best in the business and am not sure I would put all of my confidence in their work as computer technicians. read more

I went to this Staples today at 430 pm. I intended to get 10 copies made from a flash drive. I was greeted by Louisa who ws trying to leave for the day. She said if I wanted copies come back tomorrow they couldn't do it. If I wanted it done use the PC available and pay by the mminute! I told her I had NEVER had that happen in any other Staples and she said sorry but they wouldn't do it. I said fine but I intended to make my opinion of her lack of service known on this site. She quickly called her manager Alina and denied she ever said anything. She continued to mock me behind her manager as Alina was trying to help. I told Alina I would not give her the satisfaction at that point and I left. I went to FED-EX KINKOS in the same parking lot! They were helpful and very pleasant. Lesson learned. IF YOU NEED CUSTOMERR SERVICE AND COPIES go to FED-EX KINKOS. If you want poor service and rude peoplle. Go to this Staples. read more
