I'll continue to shop at Office Depot. We just moved into the area. I went into this specific store prepared to purchase items for me & my wife's new office. We would need two desks, chairs, file cabinets, etc. You know, the whole nine - especially for my wife who will be working from home. Unfortunately, when browsing the items throughout the store, the first floor salesperson didn't understand my request to purchase 2 desks, so she sent who I assumed was the manager, over to assist us. Natasha explained to us that because they are one of the less busy stores, they only sell their desks one at a time & could not order a second unless we purchased the first, & because the item was not discontinued she could not sell us the display. Noted. So imagine the confusion when we inquired with a different floor salesperson, who admitted he was new, about the newest gaming chair in the store. There were many boxes throughout, but none on display as other chairs were. After the salesperson took me on a journey looking for the chair on display but only finding more boxes, I requested that one be assembled before we purchase since they'd recently sold the... display. *gasp* Natasha stated that since the chairs are built in-house, they can sell displays unlike the desks that are assembled by a third party, apparently. They had sold the display and no longer had any chairs on display. Anyway, I was told to return the next day because the chair would not be assembled 'instantaneously'... in this less busy of the only 2 locations in Vegas. I thought to myself, why wasn't another chair built once the other was sold, or why weren't multiple chairs built in anticipation for the sale with as many boxes were delivered to this location... after explaining how interested I was in making a purchase but wanting to see the chair out of the box first, i was given a bit of a shoulder shrug. I looked around to see if anyone was witnessing this, but of course, there were only about 3 other customers in this pretty 'less busy' store that can only sell items one at a time. Anyway, I 'instantaneously' left to spend my money elsewhere since everyone was too busy walking around in the less than busy store to show me the newest chair that I wanted to purchase. Because of her dismissive responses to our questions, Natasha single handedly saved me from spending at least a thousand dollars in her store. I have tried using the copy center here several times in hopes that I had previously caught them at a bad time. The truth is every time is a bad time here. The employees don't seem to know how to run their own machines and are exceptionally slow to help customers, resulting in long lines that don't get shorter. Add to that I have never had a greeting or smile from anyone at the center, it must be a terrible place to work, they won't be seeing me again. read more

Some of the printing service staff are completely unknowledgeable and will try and pass off mistakes as finished product claiming streaks and mottling "must be in the original file." Susanna and Jason do a great job if you can catch them, kathie is completely rude, and the manager is rude and incompetent. Made a complaint that my order was done on the wrong paper and was shorted copies and was told that's the best they can do and didn't offer to reprint and suggested I leave when a similar order placed with Jason and Susanna was perfect. I needed a quick 18 X 24 photo print to surprise my wife who was coming home from a family business trip in two days. I figured I'd give our local Staples a try, not expecting much. Boy was I pleasantly surprised. The colors were true to what I had seen on my pc and the sharpness was perfect. There glossy paper was also perfect. And the price? Well the store is nice, didn't find any staples in the entire store lol so little disappointed there, but that's okay! Their selection for phone cases is very small too, they use to have a nice selection but they don't have anything further than the 8plus phone cases and I was looking for 11pro again not an issue. All staff was nice and overall not a terrible experience as when COVID happened and they made you wait outside and tell them what you are looking for and come back with all the wrong items lol, so glad we can finally just walk in pick what I want. read more

I was told they had a Groupon available so I purchased one for my Christmas cards this year. By the way, BEST price for cards! Not only were they available for pickup the same day, they're also very high quality cards (which I was able to choose from online with no extra charge)! I created the card online and it was available for pickup a couple hours earlier than I expected. I loved getting the call that my cards were ready and the employee on the phone was so nice! This staples isn't even close to me, but the employees were so kind and helpful when we arrived! I will no longer be purchasing cheap photo cards from other locations! If I could honestly give no stars I would I walked in with a simple question Carol, who I found out at the end of all this was the manager was amazing! However, the other two associates Ron and the young lady at the printing area, who didn't have her name tag on were both EGREGIOUS! When asking the printing associate for assistance she told me the were out of what I needed and that I needed to call the other store, giving no location phone number nothing, and called for the next customer. I then went to Ron to request a manager and he was combative telling me that I can go look for one on the floor. Inserting they get upset when they call for a manager...So would he have me walk up to each associate asking if they were a manager...? So I asked if I was a customer with an issue and needed a manager what would you do...he said he would call them...so I asked what the difference was he went on to tell me that it's early so I need to go look for one. When I asked him for the corporate number he then said, "why would he have that!" I'm so confused where customer service has gone in 2023, and perhaps Ron needs a lesson, as he works In a store and doesn't know either. I would rather just take my business elsewhere and pay more than to deal with rude lazy people! Worst ever. Called fifteen minutes prior to confirm they could print out four 5x7 photos. The gentleman on the phone said that if I didn't have a flash drive, I could come in and email the photos in to their email, and they could print them. When I asked how long it would take (you know, to plan my day) he said it would be immediate. Fast forward a few minutes to me driving there and walking in, waiting in line at the copy/print area. My turn; so I ask what email I should send the pictures to, for printing. Jennifer in the printing department needs a lesson in customer service. She belongs in the back, at home, or absolutely anywhere else. She has no place being in front of patrons. Bad attitude, no empathy, no smile, a big sigh when she saw me waiting.. She said she wouldn't be able to print these photos for a few hours because of a job she was doing, and had been doing since this morning. When I explained that I had just placed a phone call to avoid this EXACT situation, she shrugged and said there was nothing she could do. She didn't offer me any other options to print out photos, simply that she wasn't going to do them. No apology, no taking responsibility for the staff's error, nothing. Not upset that they couldn't do it, but more that there is obviously a big lack of communication and knowledge, not to mention a person who lacks the basic skills of a customer service. You need better people to keep customers coming back. My office is within a few miles so I try to keep the business in this area. This is the third issue I've had at this Staples within two months. I'll gladly make the drive to a competitor after this. Last straw. Consistently horrible. read more

Found a laptop that was on sale for $250 off and thought it was a pretty good deal so I ordered it. Used my VisaPass account to checkout and got $25 off for using VisaPass. Awesome! Picked up daughter from school and excited to bribe her for 1 hour of reading every night before bed to earn laptop time for the next day. Got an email a few hours later that my order was cancelled due to "issue with coupon". WHAT COUPON? Oh; you mean the $25 off that I got automatically for using VisaPass? I wasn't even aware of the $25 off nor did I enter a "coupon" code. According to Chat, there "Operations Team" is monitoring "these" orders and are automatically cancelling them. I take it that Operations Team means a high level group of people at Staples corporate under the direct authority of the Staples board. "These" orders I take it to mean a paying customer. Putting 2 and 2 together, Staples has a group of high level corporate team that automatically cancels their customers orders because they do not want their business. They wasted my time, got me excited for buying my 9 year old daughter a new laptop, got her excited enough to agree to reading an hour every night before bed, just to shut us down and insinuate that I am some kind of scammer. "THESE" orders. This is the reason for my 1 star. I'm going to buy from Office Depot or Frys instead of THESE people. read more

Worst store ever !!! I asked for a specific item and I told them that according to their website they have it in this location and I told them I could not find it inside. The cashier just told me maybe they were sold out already. I never give up and search the freaking aisle up and down and finally found the item. Upon checking out the cashier asked me if I could open a credit card, I told him NO! He said it's easy as 1,2,3 and I thought maybe if you helped me then I would open one. I've been living in this store for the past week making copies for back-to-school and Jennifer was a life saver. I see why there are less & less of these stores in existence. The guy who helped us was so nice, but it just seemed so difficult for all of the employees to get basic info, like prices unlabelled, whether it's available at other stores, literally like 20min waiting for what should be a quick barcode scan. His b#tchy manager followed the poor guy around, it made it very uncomfortable just to ask questions, like he was being tested. It didn't seem much easier for her, either. Must be the system. So, we determine the chair isn't available at the store. Apparently, they don't sell the display chairs, though who knows why, cuz they just lost like $100 on us there. So they order us one online to be delivered with free shipping. All paid. 20min later in the car I get an email saying it's been cancelled. ???!!?? So, I call, and get rerouted to this call center in God knows where, and 30 min later, he says they were out of it at 2pm or whatever, but now it's 3, and it's in stock again & he can reorder it for me. He kept calling me "ma'am" every 2sec despite my request to please not call me that. Roar. After being on hold, he found out they indeed don't have it online either. LOL Is it really that effing hard? ...Really...? There goes several hours of my time shopping for, trying out, deciding on, and ultimately being unable to get a desk chair. If you're in a hurry to buy office supplies, this is the place to come. The few times I've been in here, the employees have always known right where something I wanted was. The catch is sometimes their hard to find, the employees, not what you're looking for, because now I pretty much know where everything is. I think, however that the prices are a bit high and lately I've noticed that they're creeping up, at least on the things I usually need, like labels and cell tape. read more

I just don't understand how the Staples on N. 5th St. can be the exact opposite of the one in Henderson on Lake Mead Parkway. In Henderson, you are greeted immediately when you walk through the door and asked if you need help finding anything. At N. 5th you get the 'avoid eye contact at all costs and don't acknowledge the customer in any way' treatment. After taking several laps through the store, I finally gave up trying to get the attention of somebody to come to the back of the store. The four of them were too busy yukking it up around the cash register with their backs turned to the store to notice all 3 customers inside. I will say that N. 5th store has the best sense of humor, though: walking out empty-handed and just a little bit pissed, one of the POS's up front asks "Did you find everything OK?" I wanted an office chair in the current ad and it was not available at this store. However, Laura (general manager at the store) said she'd try to special order it for me. She called the next day to say she wasn't able to get the chair, but she would ask one of the other managers (Evan) to pick one up at a store far across town. He actually went and got it and I picked it up the next night. They were all so helpful and genuinely worked their hardest to help me out. I am so very happy with every person I have worked with in this store, but a special thanks goes out to Laura and Evan, and to Dave the inventory guy who helped us during our first visit. Last Sunday I stopped here had 8 copies of a 30 page document copied and 3 hole punched. The employee was efficient and friendly. After a massive re-write of the document I returned here today to get 8 copies printed, but the employee at the copy center said I had to use the self service copiers. I told her no and went to Office Depot. I will now never make a purchase at this or any other Staples. Ever. read more

Here again I am posting this review. As from other reviews you know I purchased refurbished guaranteed computer from Staples for my daughter's Birthday. Less than 2 months in had to send off to be fixed.. just got new one on Monday and sure enough opened turned on and first screen says your computer needs repair..more problems have to reinstall Windows done several times. So tom morning I get to again deal with joytech systems which has approx 30 min call wait time as they sent me this replacement. After 30 days of purchase Staples will have Nothing to do with helping me or a refund. I do get to send off to New Jersey for the next year but given the first one I received to "replace" has issues in less than a week my hopes cant be high..Perhaps Staples should warranty their products more than 30 days and I would have avoided this mess with a refund but nope not their policy..can we say passing the buck?
