Sarah one of the manager went above and beyond to help me with a customer service issue. I was so upset about service I was given and she heard me out. She truly understands what world class services is. She even followed up with me the next day. I can't say enough good things about her. She's such an asset to the staples company. They are lucky to have such a customer driven manager. She didn't have to take the time out of her day ( in December) but she did. Thank you Sarah!!! I truly appreciated your help. read more

It would be wonderful if the employees would stop their personal conversations long enough to help someone and/or stop yelling to one another across the store. Every time I've come to this particular store the employees are the same: standing around, chatting, and avoiding eye contact so you have to actually walk up to them, wait for them to acknowledge your existence, and then pay witness to the sighing and eye rolling. read more

Seems like the more I go in the better the service gets. I always need something (paper, ink, pens, pencils, gadgets, lol, and more gadgets). I just bought a really nice reduced mesh chair (back and seat). I found out that most people have trouble assembling it since it has quite a few adjustment locations. Of course for an additional charge, Staples put it together for me and I just needed to go back an pick it. $8 was definitely worth the money since I could still be trying to put the chair together (24 hours later) and I really don't have free time like that. I am furious. We are building a home and have had Staples print the plans. This is the fourth time do to architecture changes and have had the plans printed at different Staple locations. This one charged me $20.00 because I wanted them printed in the next hour...so the total will be $90.00!!! Is $70.00 not enough for 20 sheets of paper? I have never been charged the extra fee but needless to say I am close to spending $400 at Staples for the plans and if I could go somewhere else I would. read more

I stopped by Staples today to make copies from a jump drive. I was greeted by Melanie in the Copy & Print Center. I explained what I needed to do and she explained how I could do it. Once I sat down at the computer, I had at least three more questions and each time she was warm, kind and generous with her time. Also, it's not like we were alone. Melanie juggled this great service every customer at the counter. It was phenomenal and refreshing to see. Melanie is an absolute asset to this company. I hope that with this note she will be recognized for her extraordinary service. Because of her, I would go out of my way to return to that Staples. read more

I went into the Truxel location in the Natomas shopping center this past Saturday on a lunch break to print out my son's first birthday invitations. I was greeted by Phil, who was prompt and efficient to help me pick out a good material for copies. His recommendation was just what I envisioned. My son's invitations came out amazing! Phil gave great customer and helped save me an extra trip by informing I could purchase stamps there. I will definitely be back! :) read more

This is a review for the UPS part of Staples. I'm beyond frustrated with the service that was provided here. There should not be a shipping center inside a Staples if the staff is not trained professionally. I shipped a package and was told it would get there on Friday- what she didn't tell me was that it was actually the Friday after Christmas. Terrible service and lackluster employees. Don't ship any packages from this location. read more

I loved my experience!!!! I shopped for two hours between Frys and Best buy looking for a laptop that was in my budget and had a good warranty. Stephanie the store manager was great!! I can not sing her praises enough. She took the time to explain what was important in a laptop and what was just the extras. She was super nice and made excited after a horrific experience before coming to staples about buying my laptop. As soon as I walked in I was immediately greeted. I visited with the intent of getting a computer chair. I ran around the whole section measuring with tape and giving the butt test to virtually every one of their chairs on the floor. Although their online site has a much greater selection, I thought they had plenty of options to take a look in-person - especially compared to the Fry's I was just over at. The two gentlemen were nice in setting me on my way after I made my selection - even helping me to the car. Definitely going back soon because I have been giving the eye to some of the computer desks the got against the wall. read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I've printed from this place many times in the past but I'll never go back after today. I walked in about 8 min to close but all I had was an print order to pick up that I had email confirmation of -4 hours prior! As soon as I walked in the lady said we're closing in about 5 min! No hi, how are you, welcome in. NONE OF THAT. Then I walked over to the print station and the rudest LAZIEST employee "helped" me, or lack their of. Her name was MONIQUE. She said sorry we don't have ur order. So I showed her the confirmation and she said "oh that's an old email, don't have access to that" so I said okay can I send it to the proper email then? She stood there and told me well yah but it won't be ready til tomorrow. WHY MONIQUE? Because it's 5 min before you close and you want nothing to do with CUSTOMERS?! She finally decided to help me but she didn't give me any direction. She just kept standing there hoping I'd walk away. I had to ask all the questions. THEN she got the images by email and proceeded to tell me "we don't print on adhesive paper. And that'd I'd have to probably buy the paper and then she could do it. FUNNY cus I've printed that way there before. Just a couple months ago even! CLEARLY MONIQUE IS A LAZY EMPLOYEE THAT SHOULDNT BE WORKING IN SERVICE. I'll be emailing staples directly about this complaint too. read more

My printer stopped working a week ago. I went to Best Buy thinking I would buy one there. Not one sales person asked me if I needed help. I walked out. I went on line to check reviews on a couple of printers I saw there and was disappointed. Today I went to Staples, hoping I would find a sales person who knew something about printers. The Assistant Manager, Stephanie, asked if I needed help and I said "yes". Stephanie was very knowledgeable about printers (including why my present printer stopped working) and I ended up buying an HP printer along with additional ink. I was extremely pleased with the service. I came home and was able to follow the directions to set up my printer. Thank you Stephanie. read more

ugh. saw the ad in the sunday paper with sales on office chairs and bluetooth headsets. went to the store and they had neither in the store. not like they were out of them but they just weren't there. and the office chairs were about 60% unmarked so you have no idea how much they are. and not a single employee asked if we needed help. left empty-handed and disappointed. read more

I went into the Natomas store and talked to a cashier about having a PC tech come out to my house to do cord management ONLY. There is nothing wrong with my PC except the pile of cords and wires under the desk in which I keep tangling my feet. She said their PC tech person was at lunch and went to ask the manager how much they would charge me for that service since it's not technically computer problems. She came back and said $50 and she would have the tech call me. The tech did but needed to verify that with the manager (which I totally understand) and call me back. Of course she didn't so I called again and was told that they charge $100 to come out to the house, not $50. Did I want to pay that? Of course not! She didn't know why the manager told the cashier only $50 but she wasn't about to follow up either. Then she offered to ask the manager if they would honor the $50 and call me back. Of course she never called me back. First of all, there's never anyone in the store so I have no clue how they remain open. Secondly, if they play those kinds of games with customers, no one will ever go back in there. I was totally disgusted with the whole thing and won't do business with them anymore. read more

Be careful when looking up products on the web from Staples and don't trust the prices they display. The store appears to select only high price alternatives for web purchasers who seem to live in more affluent areas or appear to purchase items from high end stores. A friend in Nevada City was looking up SD chips for a camera and received a whole range of prices ranging from below $20 to $40. When I attempted to look up identical chips, the only item shown was the most expensive $40 chip. When I looked up similar items on Amazon or Best Buy, unlike on the Staples website, the full range of SD chips appeared on my computer. read more

I just tried to write a review on the laptop I recently had "repaired" at Staples, and it spontaneously shut down, like it's been doing since it's come back. I can only use it if I'm standing on my head. I've had two laptops I brought to the computer repair service for exactly one month. I brought them both in with the issue of my main laptop not playing DVDs and my second laptop overheating. For a month, I've been told they will call me within 48 hours with a diagnosis, no surprises, top priority, yada, yada, yada...Every time I've stopped by to check on progress, no one has done anything. They can't find it, they can't find the password I gave them, it's someone else's fault. When I was there on Saturday, I asked Michael, with the fake British accent, where can I go to have this finally repaired, he suggested the Woodland Staples store. Had I taken his advice, I would have found that the Woodland store has been closed permanently. Just perfect. To date, my main laptop is still not repaired, and the older secondary laptop that played DVD's and was overheating, now continues to overheat and doesn't play DVD's anymore. To anyone who decides to try this service, I suggest you don't assume they are working on your computer, because chances are, they probably aren't. Patience and understanding have no place in this transaction. It doesn't help. Don't expect them to be organized (ie know where your computer is, have any system of communication between techs, and what the heck it's there for). Don't expect them to follow up with you. It's on you. Remember these things, and you won't be disappointed and frustrated. My only theory as to why this service is so ridiculous is to sell new laptops. Who knows. I'm picking up my laptop tomorrow (if they can find it) and not looking back. read more

This place is very convenient to my place. They don't always have the items I am looking for, but the workers here are the best! They are knowledgeable, professional, friendly & helpful. This store is not big, but basic office needs (i.e papers, toners, pens, etc) you can find it here. To make sure they have the items you are looking for, call first before going to the store. I had one of the BEST customer service experiences at this location. First of all I had an issue and the manager , Matt, seriously diffused any ill feeling or apprehension to give them another shot. But the real proof that good customer service isn't just an urban legend was Anna. She seriously went above and beyond for me today. I couldn't be happier with the finished product. I got what I asked for with a smile and personal attention. I'm a happy and very loyal customer. I don't know if the experiences others have posted where with the current staff, but I can't imagine it was after today. read more
