Average understaffed hidden office supply store. I asked where something was and I was told over there like aisle 14. I didn't find what I was looking for so I asked someone stalking shelves and was told to go ask someone in the print and copy area. Asked them and they said I have never seen anything like that. I had bought the same thing before at that store so I knew they had it at some point in the last year. I went to another store to get it pretty easily. My husband and I went into FedEx a few days ago to have a memorial booklet for my mother printed.  I stood in line for a few minutes, which was fine, then another employee started talking to me from across the store asking what I wanted done.  Her name was Crystal and she told me I'd have to print it myself on their in-store machine.  It was a complicated project and I said I just wanted to show it to the staff and have them print it. She looked at my thumb drive and said, "Oh, no, we can't  print these.  They have to be PDFs and our computer won't even open them."  She went on to say it was only her and one other person in the store and they couldn't help me. Her attitude was extremely condescending and made me feel like I was inconveniencing them.   My husband and I decided to drive over to Staples and our experience there was the complete opposite. The manager of the print department took the thumb drive and converted the documents easily, having us come behind the counter to get the documents in the correct order, then offering us suggestions on the best way to proceed with the project.  The booklet came out beautifully, thanks to Ken at Staples on Temecula Parkway. Forget FedEx --- just head to Staples --- you'll be happy you did. read more

They are so great at providing a quick and professional printing services. They have printing signs, postcards, business cards and more. Ordered. then canceled within a few hours and they still delivered the frickin item and now I'm responsible to return it? Disabled and certainly cannot lift an awkward 75lb office chair box. I am a small business owner and frequently shop at Staples for office supplies and sometimes office equipment. I have always found costs to be competitive and supplies always on hand. I have been having difficulty with my printer lately and walked in to shop my options. I was concerned with cost of ink and new technology. I just left this Staples and had to come home and write a review. The young lady who helped me and my daughter in the copy/printing area was amazing! She was so patient, so helpful and very kind. We came in to print out a story my daughter wrote for a school project and for some reason the internet wasn't connecting. After trying a few different things we were having a difficult time printing the pdf. She assisted us with logging in to the customer computer and all the various steps to getting her project printed. She never made us feel rushed and happily gave us her undivided attention even when another customer arrived until the task was completed. In a time where many businesses are understaffed and good and attentive customer service is hard to come by, Delali "Becky" was a beautiful breath of fresh air. Just had the best interaction ever at an office supply store. Shout out to Viktor. I called and they said they had a certain type of ink, came in and they didn't have it. I needed it right away to print something important for a wet signature. He offered to print it out for me and even fax it! I should have checked Yelp before I went to Staples today. Copy and Print has the dumbest employee and she has no desire to do anything. The girl in the copy and print area today around 1:30 pm is just plain lazy and rude! She definitely lacks customer service. If you're trying to print here, this place is an absolute joke. DO NOT come to print/copy anything here. Waited about 15 minutes and asked to print one page. Stupid behind the counter told me that "self-service" is just right over there, pointing her finger in the direction behind me, like I'm stupid or something. She "never" asked me if my print job required anything special. I ended up leaving and driving across town to go to Office Depot for better service and attitude. I have an Office Depot walking distance from my house and had been shopping in their for years. Sadly, the last few times I've tried shopping there, the people didn't seem as friendly and finding someone on the floor was not easy. After waiting on aisle for 30 minuted for someone to come help me (I actually asked and was told a few times that someone was on their way) I ran short on time and left with the intent of coming back when I had more time. The next day I was on the other side of town and saw this Staples location. Could not have been more of a night and day experience. Person nearest the entry said hi as soon as I walked in the door and asked if I needed help finding anything. Once in the area I was looking in, another store rep left what they were in the middle of working on to help me, even though I didn't ask them to. I wish I had written down her name because she truly deserves to be recognized for being so professional and helpful. I wasn't going to but anything because I didn't see exactly what I thought I would want. It was not a lack of effort on the store clerks part. Even though she was incredibly helpful, she still offered to bring over a manager who may be aware of other options that she may have not thought of. She brought over the manager who was just a professional and kind as the first two employees I came across in the store. This manager (and the initial lady who helped me) knew their products and the available inventory.I ultimately bought that day and will drive the further distance to get to work with the level of service this place gives. read more

The cashier was nice. The manager was nice. The floor person was nice enough and got me the device I wanted to purchase. (If you're one of the negative influences in Temecula, ALL THE STOCK BOXES ARE EMPTY! If you're planning on grabbing stock and running out the door, don't waste your time. Go back to your own city.) However, the store is low on printer ink and toner (and apparently: paper). I only saw one type of printer paper but it was well enough priced (and Walmart is just across the street). I purchased only 2 sets of ink cartridges so as to cover my own immediate needs and to not be hoarding. Please be considerate of your neighbors too. A sign cites Covid-19 as the reason for the shortages but no other office supply stores are affected. The inference is that they don't have stock owing to the few whom have joined the strike for black lives matter. In any case, I would rather be dependant on a store NOT influenced by or subject to strikes, Covid-19 or whatever, especially when OTHER STORES ARE WELL STOCKED. I DON'T THINK THIS IS ABOUT COVID-19. So I just think my experience was unfortunate and I hate bad reviews but staples needs to know that their customer service is rough. I went there needing to print a shipping label and send two parcels of shoes. The two ladies there weren't overly friendly but whatever I don't expect all smiles from people just doing their job. My problem was that the young lady who helped me was having a hard time doing easy tasks. She misspelled the location of where my parcel was sent, and now my parcel is delayed because of her mistake. Also, I needed to tape my package, not much tape just one down the side. However they told me they wouldn't provide me with tape. So I bought some, and then gave it to them so that others who just needed their boxes taped up wouldn't have the same problem. I mean..the fact they couldn't tape up my box and that I was in staples was ridiculous to me. Honestly, those two ladies just need to smile, be kind and try to offer above and beyond service. No one came so I just went to the front and paid for my screen wipes but there was a line and had one person working the register. No wonder they have two stars. I went in for printing and ended up staying there than an hour and a half. staff was super unhelpful and I was supposed to be emailed my receipt within an hour of me leaving the store, due to their "system issues". I ended up calling 2 weeks later, and the manager was incredibly unclear and would not acknowledge the bad service that I got. Instead of apologizing for my bad experience, he continued to justify why they were doing their job. Me not being helped for a whole 30 minutes and having to chase down at least 4 people in the store does definitely shows there can be improvement on their end. read more

Assistant manager's business card doesn't even have the correct phone number! The kicker was that they didn't see that as being an issue! When I ordered a desk they said it'd be in on Monday, a week later, still no desk. When it finally came in they said it was on the back of the truck and it'd take 2-3 days to unload. Worst experience. Came to Staples to use their copy center. My goal was to print 8 copies of an 8x10 pdf templet printed on card stock and cut into 3x5 squares. Seemed like an fairly easy task, but you would think I was asking to perform brain surgery. I approached the copy center and was greeted right away by Rachael (wearing a manager name tag). There was one person in front of me and she informed me there would be a 5 minute wait. That was completely fine. Roughly 5 minutes later Caitlyn arrived and started to help me. Rachael made it clear to Caitlyn right away that she needed to go on her lunch. Caitlyn was very sweet and seemed fairly new. The few questions I had for Caitlyn she had to ask Rachael and I felt as though Rachael was quick to interrupt me and fight me on everything. The card stock I brought in jammed in their machine and didn't print correctly. Rachael then proceeded to tell me that they do not typically accept customers bringing in their own paper. Okay... We could have started with that. I then asked if they had paper for me to purchase?? Instead of being polite I felt as though I was troubling her by coming in. At one point I said "I almost feel like I need to leave and come back in to start over and you are fighting me on everything." Like how dare I come in and interrupt her day with printing 8 pieces of paper! My gosh it was a painful experience. Then they wanted to charge me $6 for cutting the 8 pages with their cutting board. I went across the street to PostalAnnex and was able to do for FREE! I just wish I went anywhere else and avoided Staples (Rachael) all together. It was all just a frustrating experience and I am in shock that Rachael is a manager. She has horrible customer service and just left me frustrated. Ohhh I failed to mention that she left poor Caitlyn by herself with people waiting in line behind me so she could take her lunch. What kind of "manager" does that?? She was just awful. I have no problem at all with the products in this store. I do buy office supplies here. What my negative review is about concerns their Shipping area at the front of the store. I picked up a Flat Rate USPS box that ships for $17.95 regardless of weight. It states it on the box, on signs in the store, etc... I went to mail this box last Saturday and the girl behind the counter tells me it will cost $31.95 to mail from Temecula to Illinois. I tried to explain to her this was a flat rate box for $17.95. She would not listen and simply said the price has gone up. Excuse me??? I demand my box back took it to the post off on Rancho California and you know what they charged me... $17.95. I told the postal employee about my experience at Staples and they said they had no idea what they were doing in that store and best to drop the package at the postal facility. The Staples people would not listen to reason. Tried to tell me the price, printed on the actual box was wrong. Will not go here anymore. read more

If I could have left a review with zero (or better yet, minus five) stars I would have. Every experience I've had at this store since they've been open has been negative for me...but today was the icing on the cake. The service has always sucked and is absolutely horrible - there's rude, immature employees who can't even look you in the eye and say 'How can I help you?' and then walk away leaving you hanging when you do ask for help. The last time my husband went in with cash in hand to buy two laptops, the guy told him he didn't know much about the computers and walked away. Seriously? When a customer is ready to purchase, GO FIND SOMEONE WHO CAN HELP! Today I ordered 300 last minute postcards for our business online, and got a confirmation saying they would be ready for pick up in store. When I arrived, the 'print girl' had no idea what I was talking about. And although she said the word 'sorry' her tone and annoyed demeanor was really the last thing I hoped for. I will definitely NOT ever shop here again. I'd rather brave the crazies at Wal Mart for any paper supplies or drive across town to Office Depot before I set foot in this store again. Awful. Shipped presents via UPS. Tracking shows my item was NEVER picked up by UPS. They claim it is not in their store and UPS did pick it up. Asked to speak to a manager was told they are not in and will call me back. They never called. Package never showed up. Now have to deal with the claims department. Merry Christmas! Will NEVER ship from here again When I call to speak to a manager I get transferred to 4 different people before the person in the copy department just assumes the conversation is done and hangs up on me. I wanted to exchange the Staples brand pieces of junk and they said I had to have my receipt to do anything!!! What???? Was just perusing yelp and came across the page for Staples, Temecula. As a former employee of this store, I was very angered by some of the posts here naming certain employees, and the problems with them. Before anyone else posts in anger, I would like to set the record straight. Copy and Print First if you're not making a large order, you're not going to get serviced in timely fashion unless there is NOTHING else in cue. The fact of the matter is that they are taking orders online as well as in store and a short line may not even indicate no wait. The company policy is to service the REAL money first and anyone that has a small job is "encouraged" to use the self-service machines. THEN, the "you must take your lunch" issue, this relates to California policy where if the employee does not take their lunch by the appropriate time, staples gets in a lot of trouble. If those employees take their lunch late, they are screamed at (literally) or at least were when I was there. Aleena is one great exception to this rule, she will do her best even if it means she is going to get reamed for it. (you go girl). With a few notable exceptions (Cayden in particular) the rest just try to keep their heads down and get the work done, I am so glad I never got pulled into more than having to help out in that department. It's very difficult to obey company policy, as well as deal with all the customers and try to make both happy. (In fact, in my opinion not possible in a LOT of situations). Computers and tech supplies People seem to notice a lack of help with this, that is again related to company policy, and not so much employee related. The fact is that If I as a sales person sell you a machine of any kind and you do NOT buy the insurance, ink, or ANY thing related to that device I'm in trouble, literally! It is seen as a deficiency on the employee's part, and it got so bad that I just simply disappear from the area when a customer comes looking. It goes even deeper, we "feel" you out to see if your going to buy anything with it and if you give ANY indication you have no intention but buying the PC and nothing else we were ordered to tell you that it's not in stock, and recommend you buy it online. Tech service, well it's all about getting you signed up... for a year or more. I am a 30+ year tech veteran and I'm working at staples because I WANT Nothing more to do with that. However I would get called over when no one tech savy was available as after the third time of having the issue fixed before they could even get the paperwork out I was NOT asked back and told NOT to work on Tech...LOL. Insurance we were told to sell it this way. "oh it's a great thing, if you have any issue's you just call the number and produce your information and they send you a cash card where you can go and just buy a replacement. (Lie) The warranty on the product from the manufacturer comes first, unless it's not covered there and it is by the insurance. So for a chair that comes with 7 year(staples) or 10 years (name brand) manufacturer's warranty there may be some back and forth about it. AS well as other items, (it's on the printed brochure from the insurance company). Returns they had to institute a policy of you "need your receipt" as we had so many people trying to return stuff without receipts that turned out to be fraudulent. Thieves have gotten so creative, they steal stuff with one person and send in their friend with the stolen product to "return" it. It got so bad that it has affected real customers and jaded all the staff. Security There was none, all the thieves in the area know this and we got hit hard EVERY day, to the point where we were having daily instances of altercations of one type or another in the store. I'm told that this is no longer the case and that's nice, but it caused me to leave for my safety. Every time we called the police they either did not show up for hours and or when they did they asked us for the security footage, to which the was there is none. There answer was then sorry nothing we can do. Couple that with being asked to shadow shady characters and you have a recipe for stress. My last day was when I was asked for the billionth time to shadow someone, and this particular individual is visibly shaking like he is in severe withdrawal who has been wandering the store suspiciously for a couple hours is packing a straight blade on his belt. In short this has been the most toxic working environment I have EVER been in. That being said this is a MINIMUM wage job, that your only perk is if you can con a customer into buying the add-ons, get them to sign up for a credit card, OR get a 5 star rating on the survey that you get on the receipt. If you're a good WORKER that means NOTHING. So ... if you LIKE an employee, and really appreciate what they have done for you, FILL OUT THE SURVEY an 5 star it. read more

Walked into the store Saturday early morning. Was in a hurry. Both, the lady at the checkout and the gentleman who worked there were super friendly. (Even though I started off by walking in through the exit door. Duh! ) They Immediately helped me find my item, went the extra mile to check on line to see if I could get it cheaper, and then, when I couldn't, they still gave me a discount, without me even asking.
