The calms and shrimp were very good, but I was so disappointed in the crab they steamed too much that the crab stuck tot he side of the crab legs and the meat shredded up so it wasn't good crab at all, that alone for one crab bunch, 5 legs all together was 27.99. Family of 5 ate here this evening. Total was $275 One of the orders was snow crab, there was only one cluster, meat was moderate. Ordered another snow crab meat was minimal. Crab was old and bags were full of juice it seems that the juice made up the pound. I'm very disappointed because I've eaten here before and one pound of snow crab has always been 2 clusters. Worst experience! Went there for dinner and my 2 year old son can't eat anything on their menu so we brought in his own food and we were told he couldn't eat it in the restaurant. They said they had a strict no outside food or drink policy which I find ridiculous for a baby/toddler. We were already sitting down ready to order when we were told this. I asked the reasoning and they couldn't provide an answer, I asked to sign a waiver and they said no. I will not be returning here with this poor customer service and lack of empathy for my son. Our third visit since March. A really great place. I am concerned about inside dining. When we got there 430pm it had 3 tables of two being served. There were 3 girls on the floor. A couple behind us asked to be seated, but we're put on a waitingist. There 12 tables open, and they were put on a waiting list, 10 minute wait. Since the first time my family and I been to star crab, our experience has been nothing but amazing! The service is a highlight with the waitresses checking in and always ready for questions. They are extremely kind as well! The restaurant is always clean and the decor is really nice! Nicer than a lot of other cajun seafood spots I've been to. This is my go to crawfish place when ever I'm in Riverside. Sometimes they are really quick to get you seated at the table. Other times is really slow. Customer service was great.
