I can't prove it, so I can only share our experience, but it honestly felt like there were fewer than 15 shrimp in the bag. For the first time ever, we finished our meal and were still hungry afterward. Based on this experience, I wouldn't recommend ordering the combo bag. Not only did it seem like there was significantly less food, but with all the ingredients piled together, some items ended up overcooked. We were really disappointed because we've had consistently good experiences with multiple locations here over the years. Hopefully this was just an off day, but we'll be sticking with ordering the seafood separately next time.

My sister and I recently visited Star Crab in Upland, and the food was seriously so good. From the moment we walked in, the place already looked beautiful. They had a lot of Valentine's decorations which made the vibe feel extra special, and the interior has this nice old-school, cozy feel. We've actually eaten at other Star Crab locations before, but honestly, this one had the best flavor out of all the seafood boils we've tried. Everything was fresh, well-seasoned, and super satisfying. The owner, maam Alexis, was very kind and welcoming. She even helped us and made sure we were comfortable. When we were about to pay, she surprised us with matcha marshmallows and other little treats, which was such a sweet gesture. We really enjoyed our time here. We stopped by randomly and found this place. the prices are great for what you get! They have a different spice levels which is great because I love spicy and my wife does not! The service is great. The owner kindly explained how everything works. The restaurant itself is small so it will get crowded and once that happens food will take longer. Compared to the big brand this does take longer but the price and taste make it worth it. just know going in it will take longer than expected especially if it's busy. They also do not give a lot of salt/pepper. We had to ask for more and they bring out a tiny amount each time which was frustrating but overall will not stop us from returning read more

Really great spot!!! Mia the owner and her sister were really friendly. She sat next to us explained the whole menu and even brought my grandma a napkin dispenser next to her so she wouldn't have to struggle. The place is clean, there's no waiting (to be seated or to get the food) and the service is excellent. We ordered the full house with shrimp and cajun fries. The full house was delicious. This place is ok. The sauce is very tasty and as other reviews say, made with real garlic. It wasn't too oily either. But the food just didn't impress me very much. We splurged and ordered the king crab, which was a big disappointment. But we also got the shrimp and they weren't very impressive either. The first time I've come here and asked if they had fresh crawfish, they said they only had the frozen. I just wanted to try it out since my friends and I were too hungry. The food was good but a lil too salty. The second time I've come here and again asked for fresh crawfish and they still did not have it. Very disappointed. Their version of a pound is not accurate. I feel ripped off. I paid for a pound and I swear it looked like half a pound. When I asked she said they weigh it with the sauce. Then she said oh the mussels are big!! Ok, well they look like normal mussels nothing big about them. They get one star for the sauce. We will not return, ever!! Before I ate my taco, I made sure to put some lime on my ceviche to "cook" it a little bit with the acid because the shrimp is a little too "raw" for my liking. It also comes with tostada chips / shells. And I was also given a bottle of crema, hot sauce (?) and some sort of brown sauce (sorry I dont know what this is called but it's delicious!). Halfway thru my meal, I noticed the gentleman was served those Mexican pinwheel shaped chips. As I was paying, I asked the lady what he was eating. She said they're called chicharones de harina. I asked her if it's free or he ordered it. She said it's free and asked me if I wanted some to go. Service needs some improvement. Although the waitress did check on me from time to time, she never asked me for a water refill - and clearly my cup was empty. Also when I arrived, why was I not offered the chicharrones de harina and the gentleman in front of me got some right when he arrived. The ambiance was chill and quiet. The mariscos included abundant shrimp, calamari rounds, and mussels, along with tomatoes, onions, red bell pepper, and green onions, of course mixed with tender pasta. This dish can readily serve two. My guest had the Tallarin Saltado de Carne, which was similar to the de Marisco dish, only with asada rather than seafood. It was a huge serving, with over half coming home for later. The table included the green peruvian ahi sauce and some warm bread rolls. The sauce was nice and spicy and the rolls were slightly toasted and served hot. The bread helped mop up the outstanding sauce on the mariscos dish. Of course, Inca Cola was available and a great accompaniment to Tallarin Saltado. Prices are flat out amazing and late lunch service on a Sunday was spot on. The food and table service warrant 5 stars, but the business practice of charging a 4% fee to use the credit card is downright shameful. If this fee was disclosed, it was clearly not obvious. Inca needs to modernize and build their credit card use costs into their overhead cost. What's next, a table cleaning fee, a salt and pepper fee, a dishwashing fee?

Also, they didn't provide extra sauce when we took the leftovers home, which was a bit disappointing. And they charge $1 for credit card payments, I wish there had been a sign indicating this somewhere on the menu or near the register.

This review is really for the young staff working there, please slow down for a second and double check the orders before handing them to customers. Missing sauces might seem like a small thing, but when they're one of the best parts of the meal, it makes a big difference. Hopefully, this helps prevent it from happening to other customers. And last but not least mine was the Ceviche Mixta spicy!!! The service was great, 4 Stars wish they had a bigger place but worth it. Came again the next day on Sunday for more. I highly recommend it if you love Peruvian food.
