The masseuse I've had has always been attentive to the particulars of my body and receptive to my requests during any given session. I would have rated yesterday's evening visit a 5 star but due to noise coming from the back room (loud conversations and laughing from female staff), I was not given the peace and quiet I usually yearn for. Also, It did not help any that 1) the front door of the massage room was open, causing more noise to be heard from the outside lobby, 2) sound of heavy foot traffic both customers and staff, and 3) customers making noise as they prepare for their massage session . read more

For all those new to massage: look up what a true Asian massage place is so you understand that good Asian massage spas use firm strong pressure- if you like a very soft massage tell them that first thing. Also- they rub the butt, tons of muscles back there! It's extremely beneficial to get your gluteus Maximus massaged, so let go of your hang ups and just relax! And if you're a woman who is uncomfortable with a man rubbing her butt, request a female or just ask them not to before you go. And tipping- just because the massage is 20 dollars doesn't mean you can get away with a 5$ tip you cheap asses- they are working just as hard as the masseuses at expensive spas so tip them fairly- at least 15 for a hour reflexology and at least 20 for hour body massage. You're still saving a ton by going here and getting all the benefits of a more expensive spa which charges a minimum 60$ for an hour- add a standard tip there and you're set back 80$. He really knows what he's doing and has a way of working out the kinks you didn't even realize you had. He gave my back and neck some much-needed attention and worked the lactic acid buildup out of my legs and feet. James is the first masseuse to spend some time on my lower back and spine - an area that, in my experience, often gets touched upon but hardly ever given enough treatment. We chose them because they had a pretty high Yelp rating and were reasonable. The atmosphere (not a fancy spa) and slight language barrier is really the only thing that kept me from giving them 5 stars. They gave us both a hot stone massage even though we had not requested one, and typically you pay more but they include it. Since the hot stone masssge was a first time for both of us, we were fine with it, but I think I'd prefer they ask, and in the future, I much prefer more of the regular massage. In any case the staff was very friendly and the massage wss great. Went here for a prenatal massage but i don't think they are knowledgable on how to do it, i was lying on my right side and the girl never asked me to switch sides so she can do the other side.
