Not good business practices!! Watch out!!!! I used Class Pass and came to this location 3 times. Each session on Class Pass is an hour for a gel mani and an hour for a basic pedi. - I've never gotten the full hour treatment, it's always been cut short but I never complained. I had to come back the next day to have a gel nail repaired because it just lifted fully off the nail. They corrected it. Things I love- they are clean and neat and I love the fish tank. The second experience went smoothly. Still cut short on time but nails and toes were great. This time I tried the dip on my nails and liked it. Third time and this is where things go bad and where you had a customer but now I'll never be back and now you have this review that I hate to write. I got Deluxe pedi and a Dip mani. When getting the pedi I just asked that the color match my nailed. She brought over color options and we matched them. She brought the pedi menu over to ask which pedi I want, I purchase on Class Pass and confirmed I purchased the Deluxe. I get my pedi and when she goes to paint she's not using regular polish, but I didn't think anything if it because I confirmed what I purchased. I tipped $10 EACH and walked out thanking them. The lady comes out while I'm walking to my car saying I forgot to pay. TF I did. I'm prepaid and tipped. So I go in and the owner says there is a $20 charge for GEL. I would be ok with this had I agreed upon this and stated that. He said oh sorry we will split the difference to be "fair". That's not fair. That's shisty and a scam. I paid the money but I'll never ever return. How dare you up charge people without confirming first. No wonder your salon is slow. You cannot keep customers like this. Maybe you don't want too. Maybe this isn't your main business. I don't know. What I know as a business that was the worst thing you can do is to up charge without consent or confirmation. So sad. I truly wanted to support your business and now you have an ex customer who will never speak highly of you again all over $20 so you could make a quick buck that day scamming. So wild. read more

My nail lady was out of the country on vacation and I needed to remove my builder gel + gel polish so I can give my natural nails a break. This nail salon is on ClassPass so I decided to use some of my monthly credits for a regular manicure (worth $25). Additional $10 to remove my builder gel + polish. I expected them to charge me on that. Didn't get her name but my manicurist was gentle and patient with the gel removal. She shaped my nails nicely. I was then passed on to a gentleman who ended up doing the paint job. This is where I had to remove stars. He would add multiple coats without letting the first coat dry first. He didn't even tell me to put my hands by the fan. I sort of had to ask for it to be turned on. The polish became very clumpy and goopy which then took forever to dry. Three days later, my polish began to chip. I understand it's regular polish versus gel but damn....I haven't even gone to my typing/office job yet! Whatevers though....I just needed someone to remove my gel. The manicure service + regular polish was just an extra touch. Plus I wasn't losing too much since I used my ClassPass credits. read more

After searching for a reliable and consistent place to get my nails done, I finally found Star Nails. I've been going here for years and it's the only place I'll go in Vegas since I found them. It's always clean and welcoming, have a great to staff who really pay attention to detail, offer beverages and have a rewards program. They use quality products and I'm am always happy with the results. The owners take great pride in their spa, continually improving and decorating the spa. The massage was great & the personalities of the personnel were awesome. But the work stations were not clean (lots of liquid/powered build up), I imagine this is common given all the table stains. And the files used were all very worn in and used on multiple people, the curing lamps didn't have a mirrored bottom (they used a book as a bottom), and my cuticles looked rough after. The chairs also provided zero back support, but the manicure only took like 25 mins. It was also an extra $20 to add gel polish to the pedicure. read more

Be advised if you're going in for a basic pedicure be prepared to spend $38 (not $33) for one if you want more treatment than just a scrubbing sponge to your feet. Every other pedicure place I've ever been to in my life will address calluses with their basic pedicure price. When I was asked if I wanted "callus remover" added for $5 the technician gestured to a bottle of the stuff labeled "callus remover", but he did not mention that nothing else including a pumice stone would even be used if I didn't pay the up charge. I hate feeling like I'm being swindled on upsells having been a victim time and time again from sneaky sales people. Just be transparent and I'm happy to spend my hard earned money with you.
