Both nail techs were very nice. When I left, I noticed my nails looked a little angled up but didn't question it- since I never had gel x. On Saturday morning- two of my nails popped off and by Saturday a third did. I reached out to the salon and they immediately were happy to get me in for a nail fix. I live across town so I told them it would need to be Monday morning. I arrived to the salon this morning and had a different nail tech. They removed the whole set and applied a new set for me. The nail tech even explained that my nails are curved and I needed a specific type of nail. Needless to say, she did an AMAZING job and they feel sturdy. I will definitely come back to this salon- they have great work ethic and believe in pricing good customer service. I am very thankful they took care of me. However, thinking of my number of visits as a whole, I've never walked away incredibly happy. One experience around the holidays 2025,I got a design on one nail each hand for the first time. I don't typically do any designs, so this was my easy intro into it. Bows looked more like a pair of scissors. Today summer of 2026, I walk away with nail dust from the customer next to me in my polish. I had a very pleasant pedicure prior to my manicure which set a positive tone for my experience. However, my manicure following, we were in quite close quarters and I was mid manicure when someone else sat next to us and they started their nail drilling. Nail dust flew quite visibly over to our side and I trusted the nail tech would notice or say something if I was affected. Well, I trusted too easily. I am walking away with someone else's nail dust settled into my own nail polish, as well as poorly settled paint where the brush strokes were visible. After some time sitting in my car, debating if I should have them correct it, I went back. The nail tech was kind and thanked me for coming back and giving her another chance. While it was a better job and she was more diligent with having me check the work, there are still some raised dots in the polish and it just looks and feels heavy and clunky every time I look at my nails. I want to love it here, but this experience definitely put a damper on my thoughts here.

The receptionist on the phone immediately alleviated my concerns, informing me that their nail technicians are true professionals, who care about the look, quality, AND health of my nails. I booked my first pedicure and have had wonderful experiences with each person. Due to being an equestrian and an RN, I don't get manicures unless it's a special occasion. However, when the next opportunity for one presents itself, I will absolutely be booking it at Desert Beauty Lab. As a quick post script, I appreciate how this salon values my time. All of my appointments have begun promptly, except for one. The receptionist told me that my nail technician was running a little over and would be with me shortly. The nail technician apologized for the delay (the person before me was a new client) and thanked me for my patience. That is exactly how delays should be treated!! I was given a book to pick a color and asked if I wanted gel or regular. That's pretty much it. At no time was I asked if I wanted their basic or one of their specialty pedis- same thing was for the other 2 people with me. We weren't even asked if we wanted any add-ons besides getting gel or regular nail polish. No need to say we would NOT be returning to this place. Yes the place is cute as far as decoration, but customer service was horrible. FYI- I was asked to book the 4th pedi after my first appointment which didn't work for anyone due to childcare and 3 people waiting - then on the day when asking for other available services, we were told it was 2-3hrs after our appointment.
