I recently have my BMW 5 Series repaired at Startech and they did a good job with a honest reasonable pricing.

I had a check engine light on my 2015 Audi q5 and a whistling noise, and I had 3 weeks to have it smogged, I been taking it to the Audi dealer's , but I was tired of them charging me an arm and a leg , anytime I had a problem, so I was looking at yelp , for a independent foreign car shop and found Star Tech, they had great reviews and said they were honest , so I called , and they said bring it in , so they can check it out they put it on the scanner, and told me what it was, at no charge, this was on a Friday, they told me to bring it in Monday morning , cause they were busy , and it was gonna take a day to fix it , and they're closed on the weekend, so I did , dropped it off , and it was done Tuesday morning , they said I had to drive it 200 miles so it could reset it self , so I did, and took it to smog, but it wasn't ready , so I called Khalid, and he told me to bring it in , Sam took it for a drive , he said you have to drive the Audi's a certain way , so it could recognize and reset, after about 15 minutes he brought it back and checked it on the scanner and he said it's ready to smog, so I took it back to the smog station and it passed, Star Tech is a hour away from me , but it was worth the drive, they did a great job on my Audi, it's been over a month and no problems, thank you! Khalid a Sam, you have a customer for life, these guys know what they are doing, and they charged me half what the Audi dealer's would have, oh and they use only OEM parts.Thanks again Gracie. read more

Went in for my Mercedes gl450 as I did the work myself I need assistance on getting my air compressor to trigger on took it to the shop. Quoted me a $90 diagnostic took a look at it and got my compressor to come on and was able to get vehicle to rise. Inform me that I need to take to Mercedes to get caliber very good service didn't even charge me the $90 for the diagnostic checks. Seeing that it was just a quick 10 minute fix for them although they wasn't able to caliber gave me great information on taking it to the Mercedes dealership to get calibrated. great service thank you. read more

Khaled quoted me $125 for oil change, when I went to pay he said $160 because he forgot to add labor. Charged me $60 for labor (according to my receipt) , for an oil change. You get the benefit of the doubt, life goes on. Get into my car, there was oil grease streaks on my window, door handle, shifter, behind my alcantara steering wheel, oil all over in the engine bay, on the hood, front bumper, front headlights. This shop and whatever technician working on my car is a joke. Whoever gives this paver 5 stars probably has no idea what's going on with their cars. BMW dealerships charges $199 for an oil change on my M2C , but they cover my seats, floor, steering wheel, provide car wash if requested during scheduling, and provide a lounge with snacks and coffee. Very curious on Startech's price and quality of service. read more

I couldn't help to notice the great work they did on my Panamera. With that said, needed to bring my wife's Porsche Macan for an oil change and break pads. When I arrived was greeted by "Khaled" who remembered me from my last visit and once again provided me with excellent customer service. Cannot stress this enough as I've taken my vehicles to the actual dealer in the past and they've taken advantage of my lack of knowledge in auto-motives. However, it's not the case here. June 2021. My 2017 Fiat had been sitting in the driveway for a year because I was out of the country. It did not start. I had it towed to Star Tech because of all the good reviews. They charged me $189 for a "compression check" and said I needed a whole new engine for $3,000. The car only had 21,000 miles so I was suspicious. They were impatient with my questions. Luckily, I decided to get a second opinion and had it towed to the Fiat dealership in Ontario who informed me that 1. Two spark plugs were missing and 2. It was not possible to do a compression check because the engine would not turn over. They gave the car an oil change, flushed the gas tank and replaced the battery. Car is good as new. All he said was that they could fix my a/c but that they could not do anything about my electrical. I then asked him if they specialized in German autos and he said, "NO"!
