Myra G. was lovey to deal with, & got everything correct. Scott, the owner also reached out to ensure I was completely satisfied. I arrived on time and ended up waiting a full 30 minutes with no updates. While I was sitting there, I received an email saying they were refunding me for the bagel dog I ordered for my picky kid. They clearly knew I was there waiting -- a simple heads-up from staff would have been appreciated. When my order finally came up, they casually told me they were out of bagel dogs and had already refunded it. No apology, no offer of a substitute, nothing. Just "we're out." Some of the ones we picked, especially the Biscoff, were a little too sweet for my liking. I even asked if they offer different flavors each day, and I was told to check their Instagram -- not quite the answer I was hoping for. Overall, it was a fun first visit and I'm glad we tried it. In other words, they don't obscure the delicate flavors and flaky textures with the kind of heavy-handed use of sweeteners found in their American counterparts. Ma Petite Cherie produces exceptional baked goods in the French tradition, not too sugary and not too heavy. Their baked goods look exactly like the ones I enjoyed every day when I lived in Europe. More importantly, they TASTE exactly the same, fluffy, buttery layers with just a hint of sweetness. If your taste runs to Krispy Kremes, sticky buns, and Twinkies, you may not appreciate Ma Petite Cherie's restraint when it comes to the use of sugar. By Thursday, we're counting down until pickup. Her sourdough is hands down the best I've ever had... perfect crust, soft inside, and that flavor you just can't get from a store. But what really sets her apart is the care she puts into everything she makes. You can taste it. I also order goodies for my husband's team on Fridays, and every single time it's a hit.
