WARNING!!!!!! Just letting you all know this Starbucks WILL SCAM you. As someone who is a coffee addict, and been going to starbs for years, I ALWAYS get iced coffees. Sometimes even two a day. The last two visits to this location they have been trying to charge me for "Breve" . I did not ask for breve and I know what breve is. I asked for simple half and half creamer. The last time I came I thought maybe they are new and that's why they tried charging me for that so I didn't made a big deal out of it. This time we spoke up and had to argue that we always go to multiple locations and we never get charged for creamer. That's INSANE. She said it was company policy as of recently. Which is BS! I live in Montclair , I get coffees from starbs there and I've never been charged. I've gone to other locations in apple valley and I've also never been charged. Also we told them the app did not charge and we would place our order there instead and just pick it up at the window. She was so rude and said no we can't do that we would have to walk in. Which again is BS because we've order for pick up before and have picked it up through drive through. Shortly after she was quiet for a while and then after just said "okay" and changed the charge of breve. We got to the window and they purposely made us wait for a while for our drinks because they were mad that we made sure we didn't get scammed. I have the FULL audio, and video of the whole incident. I will look into suing this store because this is not okay. They can't scam their customers like this. I also have the transaction receipt through my phone and everything. I did a mobile order like I normally would any other Starbucks so I can pick up and leave quickly. This location I ordered and sat in store for 28 minutes waiting for my order to be made before I asked about my order. While I was waiting i watched one of the baristas knock over the whip cream dispenser into the trash multiple occasions and put it back on the table and continue using it for many orders. When I went to go get some half and half for my coffee at the condiments table everything was gone and a sign saying only employees can use them. When I confronted them about this situation about the whip cream in the trash both ladies gave me attitude and basically told me to mind my own business. If your trying to not spread germs maybe you should keep customers ingredients out of the trash! This has been by far the worst Starbucks experience I've had yet. Thanks! read more

Went there today for coffee and the staff was very rude and disrespectful to me sign said mobile order and pick up at drive through mobile app wasnt working so i walked up to the window to ask a question to be rudely told we cant serve you unleess you are in a car i said i was trying to mobile order and its not working she said thats right i shut it off now you need to get out of our drive through they were just very rude and disrespectful when i was just asking a question its not the first time they have been rude the staff there is just very unprofessional i buy tons of coffee and coffee beans each month but will not be supporting that store any longer hopefully they get control of their staff or they will continue to lose customers read more

I love the setup in here. Excellent place to get some work done outside of home. Service-wise...it's a Starbucks. They're friendly, but lately I find the service to be quite slow. They used to really exemplify the whole "working with a sense of urgency" corporate mentality and that has really faded in the last year or so. There are *never* less than seven employees behind the counter, but sometimes I have to stand at the register and wait while they all busily do... whatever they are doing, and pointedly avoid making eye contact as though they KNOW they shouldn't be keeping me waiting. They could really streamline ops with a decent manager and I suspect some of the new, younger folks are the problem. I heard a manager give a girl an instruction three times a few weeks ago which the girl ultimately ignored. The clientele is not my favorite, but better than some of the other stores in this area. Lots of health nuts, bicyclists, which doesn't bother me; not too many kids, which is great; and an unfortunate evangelical crowd who will try to provide you with a religious tract. That's a really common thing in Apple Valley and this part of town in particular (weirdly) but the thing that's really disappointing is that the staff tolerates this behavior. I guess that Starbucks' official policy is now to tolerate everything, though, even when they shouldn't. There's a creeper guy who hangs out here, FYI, I believe he may be deaf and mentally disabled, but he has a habit of pointing at female customers and making what seems to me to be rude, objectifying hand gestures (not ASL and he's not conversing with the ladies whom he points at). I have already filed a complaint with corporate about this probable sexual harassment. Last time I was there he was sitting outside, but at least he wasn't in the store. One of the restrooms didn't have soap; actually, it didn't even have a soap dispenser. The manager said that people keep stealing the dispenser. My husband stated that employees who use the restroom can't wash their hands and that's a health code violation. She stated that there is a sink with soap in the back for employees, suggesting that the employees use the restroom and then move through the food preparation area before being able to wash their hands. Ew. A nice location and friendly employees - but management should reconsider their leadership team at this store. Btw, we waited 10 minutes with no resolution; we went into the other bathroom to wash our hands. read more

This Starbucks location always seems to mess up my order, drink doesn't taste good, or they don't have so & so items. Most of their staff are rude. I had this incident there where I asked for a frappe with chocolate syrup & she didn't add the chocolate syrup so I asked her politely if she can please just add it on top of the whipped cream. She rolled her eyes, grabbed my drink, & made it over again & handed it to me irritated. As I was pulling into my driveway I took a sip out of my drink & it tasted like pure chocolate syrup!!! I check my cup to find out she put at least half an inch of pure syrup at the bottom, all over the cup, & on top! I mixed it to see if it'd make a difference but all I was tasting was chocolate syrup which was pretty gross! I called & spoke to the manager & she said she'd replace it but I was already home & didn't feel like driving back again. read more

This is my go to Starbucks since it's the closest one to both the park and the library. Almost every time I check out a book or DVD from the library, I stop by here for some iced coffee, or a specialty drink if I'm feeling particularly adventurous. If I'm feeling like getting some work done on my laptop for a good chunk of the day, I stake out a good spot and drink my iced coffee there. The baristas are very nice and always reassure me that they can remake my drink if something's wrong, but that hardly ever happens since I mostly stick with iced coffee. The parking lot is large since it shares a lot with a couple other businesses, and it is also clean. There are cigarette smokers who regularly smoke outside a short distance from the patio, but lately it's been too windy to be outside, so it doesn't bother me. I understand people's qualms about the smokers though. It can get annoying. The inside layout is a bit awkward since there is a weird post thing separating the people in line from those sitting at the high tables. There is also a long table near the entrance that has trapped me many times when I've taken a seat in the corner wall and one or two people sit down on my side closer to the door. I think it'd be better to have a couple tables there rather than one long one. This location is full of outlets though, which is great--although the table reserved for those with a disability doesn't seem to have one. =( read more

The workers here are very nice folks but whom ever does the ordering of food and coffee does not do his/her job very well. They are always out of something, mostly bagels, and to be specific (everything bagels) when they have them then they are out of cream Cheese, or out of butter, or out of Splenda! They have been out of Splenda for "over" a week! Ok so if you owned this store wouldn't you go over to Target (same parking lot) and buy a box of Splenda for your customers???? For those of us going here each day to get our coffee and breakfast it is not professional when they are out of products, it makes you want to go somewhere else. Unfortunately this is the closest Starbucks to my house and they ALWAYS mess up my drink! It never fails. I have been so nice, respectful, telling them my order clear and slowly, I talked to the manager twice (kindly), yet they still mess up my order. I'll ask for light ice or extra light ice and they'll fill the ice up to the top every single time!!! I will PAY for extra cold foam and they'll give me the same amount as I get when I don't pay for extra! And the staff are extremely childish! I have studied in there with my brother and I'll hear them cussing, gossiping, and yelling to each other! I have given this place so many chances, hoping the staff was just having an off day, but nope! This is my experience everytime I order from here and I go to Starbucks at least 3-4x a week. Even my friends complain to me about how this Starbucks always mess up their drink! No longer will I be a customer here! If I could give this place 0 stars I would! Worst $4.85 I've paid, this has happened multiple times with them messing up drinks. I was excited to earn a Starbucks Gold Card last year and have used it more than I ever could have anticipated. The refill on iced coffee was especially nice, while it lasted. Recently, I was told by a barista at this location (rather harshly I might add) that Starbucks policy is to only refill iced coffee up to one hour after the original purchase and only while you stay in the store. This one hour policy is not mentioned anywhere on the Starbucks website, but Gina (the heavy handed barista) told me like she had been given an edict from the corporate office. My response was to tell Gina that I would no longer be visiting that location and it is a shame that customer loyalty would be destroyed over 50 cents. I have visited over 20 different locations but this is the closest Starbucks to my house. I have never had a bad experience at any other location, but I plan on visiting only mom and pop coffee shops from now on. Today, I cancelled the auto reload of my Starbucks Gold Card and I don't plan on visiting any Starbucks ever again once my remaining balance is spent. I will also stop giving Starbucks gift cards to my friends and co-workers as tokens of appreciation. I don't feel Starbucks appreciates me as a customer, and I don't wish the unpleasant experience I had with Gina on anyone else I know. It is a shame that customer loyalty can be destroyed by a 50 cent corporate edict, or a power mad barista, whichever the case may be. read more
