Waited in the drive thru for 20 mins, ordered 7 drinks, left with a half full venti iced matcha. I get it! It was a big order and the line was long BUT that's no excuse! Especially when your shakers tell you the exact measurement for each drink size. Please pay attention to detail next time Mr. Barista. Sometimes, unexpected things happen... I don't know why I REALLY needed to use the restroom. Maybe it's because I drank two cups of coffee at dinner? Anyway, it was 4 o'clock in the morning and many places in Barstow were closed. I was quite desperate. I was ready to go to the service station when I saw movement in the Starbucks across the street. I thought that I was imagining things due to delirium and sleep deprivation. However, I remembered that the Starbucks near my home in Hawaii opens at 3:30am. We parked right in front of the door... I walked carefully up to the entrance... I pulled on the door handle... It opened!!! Yay! I made my way to the facilities...what a relief! After answering Mother Nature's call, I ordered a sweetened iced green tea (refreshing!) for the road and a slice of Lemon loaf...yum! So moist, tart in the right places, and sweet! Dirty, small, No Parking. Not returning, not worth it. This location ultimately sucks.

Fortunately, this review comes after this newly built Starbucks replaced the old one, which, sorry to say, was a real dump. And even though this Starbucks is larger and has marginally better parking and seating, it shows that any business's success or failure mostly hinges on its employees. Unfortunately, the same [type] employees staff this new Starbucks as did the old. For that reason, this place may not be a "physical" dump as before; it is still as poorly operated as the old one. The facilities aren't as clean as they should be, the staff isn't pleasant, and I'll be kind enough not to post a couple of disgusting bathroom pictures I have. If a barista ever cracked a smile at the store I might fall over from shock. Yes, they are swamped with business, especially Friday through Sunday, but customers (anytime) need to feel appreciated. The coffee is consistent, but not the best in the Starbucks chain, and the parking, while better than before, is still short on convenience. I'm going to be kind and offer up two-stars hoping that someone at this location reads this review and does something to force me to raise it to three-stars. That is if I ever step foot in this store again since I've found a much nicer, less crowded, more convenient, and friendlier Starbucks down the road apiece in Victorville, California. I was on my way to Vegas, and I needed some coffee. I stopped into the city of Barstow, and consulted my Yelp app for open coffee shops. It was 10:45 PM, and considering that this is a commuter town, I was convinced that I would find an open coffee shop somewhere. I noticed that this Starbucks location closed at midnight, so I made my way here. When I pulled into the parking lot, I noticed that there were four other cars there, filled with would-be customers who were also looking for their cup of joe. Unfortunately, the workers were already packing up for the night. When I walked up to the door, I noticed it was locked. One of the workers told me that they are closed. I told her that the hours posted online, as well as on the door, said otherwise. She said it was because of Covid 19, which I know is BS because many other businesses were still open at the time. She then claimed it was because it is a small town, but Barstow is a commuter town with tons of traffic coming from both LA and Las Vegas. She then told me that my best bet was McDonalds accross the street, which had a ridiculously long line, and whose coffee I know does not compare to Starbucks. I just took off from there, and fortunately found decent coffee at a local food spot. I understand that Covid-19 has put a strain on businesses and people. However, I know this was not the reason that they closed an hour early. It just doesn't make sense. But hey, if they don't want my business, I will gladly take my business to a more competently run place. read more

I came in here on New Years Day and ordered 2 Tall Van Cream cold brews that were literally just cream and ice with maybe a splash of coffee. I couldn't go back and had them remade since I was just passing through on the drive from Vegas to SoCal. Drinks were not drinkable and had to be trashed. Store was really busy and the bathrooms were also not maintained. The stalk I went in didn't have TP and the first stall had no seat covers. Disappointing. read more

Though busy, it is fairly obvious the employee working rhetorical food is always the junior one. Slow as can be with no sense of urgency. Been waiting patiently for 15 mins, others come and go. I did two stops: one at 6am on my way to Vegas and another one going back home. Both times, I had no complaints. It's your typical Starbucks, you order what you want and you get it right away. Drive thru had a very long line so I decided to walk in. Bathrooms don't have a code to get in like the ones I'm used too so that was very convenient. The inside was very clean and well maintained. However, I was only annoyed with my drink because I asked for "light ice" and it seemed like they gave me extra ice. LOL oh wells, 3 stars for that. read more

Got here and its not that busy...Ordered 4 drinks... only got 3.....waited a long time and finally ask for my 4th drink twice...and still no drink. This Barstow Starbucks on Main is my go-to coffee spot while trekking back and forth from LA to LV. So that means I visit this place often! It's off the freeway, next to a gas station, and has a drive thru. What's not to love? My interactions with their employees have been cordial and never bad. I mean, it shouldn't be that hard to scan my app and hand me my drink at the window. One particular time I ended up going in and the staff as actually great. My cold brew took an extra 10 minutes which felt like an eternity but I got an extra petite vanilla scone in my bag and $4 off my next drink for the trouble. I call that a win! read more

The customer service was bad from the cashier to the people who handed out the order. First of all how are you going to have the dragon fruit refresher on your menu if you ran out of the actual fruit, I still order it and they gave me the frozen option instead of the refresher. When I told the barista I got the wrong order she she said no it wasn't until I showed her the picture of my order. They went ahead and took their sweet time to prepare it. While we waited 3 other customers got wrong orders. I understand it's a busy place due to high traffic but not even an apology to any customers. When you visit with long car lines for the drive thru and inside it almost feels like this is the only Starbucks for 100 miles. Stopped several times while traveling through. Drinks have been good with no extra fanfare thus the 3 stars. Bathrooms are well used and could use a remodel as it starting to feel more like a trucks stops. Service took too long (30 mins) and the drink I always ordered definitely does NOT look like this. I had paid for a venti and got a venti cup that was not filled (was filled more for a grande size). I asked for more coffee and I had to wait again another 15 mins and was charged for the extra. Customer service was poor, they had 7+ barista on shift but was slow. The barista at the register had a bad attitude while helping us. The bathrooms on the other hand were a complete mess, the toilets were disgusting and clogged! Something wrong in this Buck of the Star!! OK, I had to wait 20 minutes for a single espresso shot, but I did not mind a bit because I was totally entertained with what was going on the other side of this counter! An unhappy barista was getting order after order wrong. While I was standing there, she made at least two wrong drinks and then tossed them away! She slammed one in the sink so hard that it splashed all over her and the sign above it! The funny thing is that the line was not even long to overly stress her! I watched customer after customer react to their wrong drinks for about 20 minutes, drank my espresso (I had asked for a long shot, but got a regular), typed this review and got on my merry way. read more

This location is wild. The drive thru/parking lot situation is absolute chaos, especially with construction on Main Street. The drive thru line backs up which leaves no room for other traffic to pass through. The line was excessively long, and slow for a Starbucks. Horrible service and a very rude large male barista. Hot chocolate came out way before tea. People were ordering and leaving with their drinks when I did not have mine. When I inquired he was extremely rude and told me he doesn't have my tea order and 12 people were ahead of me. He offered no solution. I am appalled at how absolutely rude this woman (appearing to be in charge) was to patrons. There are handwritten signs all over the door as you approach. Now I do not believe in using a restroom without making a purchase. No one addressed me coming in, and someone went into the restroom before me. So I stepped back to order online (as the signs say). Two women walk in behind me and the employee walk up and says they have to wait at the door. The bathroom door opens and she signals for them to go. She then asks if I am picking up an order and I say yes and that I was also awaiting the bathroom. She walks away and I move to the door. A minute later she comes back taking an annoyed stance and toned and asks if I could "maybe not stand in front of the door". Alarmed by her attitude, I said I'm sorry I thought that's where you told them to stand. She says no, I need to be in the bathroom line outside. Outside to the left there is a black sign (at night) that says bathroom line starts here. Now, while I went to the restroom I hear her tell people over and over again to wait outside. THIS SHOULD TELL YOU THAT NO ONE CAN SEE YOUR SIGN. I read all your other little signs written directly on door. People are not trying to be rude. Your attitude meeting each person over and over was so unnecessary. There shouldn't be a line of people laughing at how you just kept yelling again and again. Second, you can't tell from outside if someone is in the bathroom since it's around the corner so how is it supposed to work?? Coming out of the bathroom, I didn't know if I could get my order or where to stand. If people can't come in just say so. Or make people knock. That was such an unnecessary experience. Homeless are fresh in at 4:30am. Lobby smells like human urine from the homeless sitting in the guests chairs. Not to mention begging you to buy them a $5 coffee when there is a Mac Donald's across the street with $1 coffee. Twice I've order a black coffee and waited almost 10 minutes. Not that big of a deal, however it's usual practice to turn around and pour a black coffee instead of waiting for all the soy latte no whip, 1/4 foam, med heat 1/2 sprinkle drinks. Starbucks is a great option for a road trip. It's healthier to drink a 16 ounce coffee than a 64 ounce soda, prove me wrong. I always get an almond milk latte for myself, and if you know me, you knew that already. What you might not know is that I sometimes add the sugar free cinnamon dolce. We bought a couple of drinks at Starbucks. The service was excellent and the staff was very helpful. As always, the drinks were delicious. However I did have some observations. One table had food left on it. Also, There was debris on the floor. This tells me the tables and floor are not being cleaned. Finally, the Trash can was full. There is a small parking lot and this Starbucks does have a drive-through window. As a life long Starbucks drinker, I do recommend this Starbucks. read more
