This is a pretty large, but cozy Starbucks off El Camino Real in Belmont. It has its own vibe. Right next to bus station, small parking lot- but spacious indoor and outdoor seating. The baristas were talking about how "dramatic" a prior customer was. I was there, and they just had a simple request. They subsequently messed up my iced coffee with cream (yes, I guess it is possible to mess that up), but I was too hesitant to come back and ask for a re-do order because I didn't want to be the subject of their discussions. Went here on a Sunday and got a cappuccino. Foam was super good and you could taste the milk and the coffee, super balanced and rich flavor. Service was as good as the drink - shout out to barista Aditya on cashier! Next time I think I might try their banana bread... The one NEGATIVE I had here which I think warranted one star off was the A/C. Seriously, it was like 80 degrees inside and when I asked the baristas about it they said it was predetermined by management and they couldn't do anything about it. Management - TURN THE HEAT DOWN! Visited this fine coffee and tea establishment on a chilly Sunday mid-morning and ordered a medium, or "grande" as they do call it, cold brew with a splash of Oatly© Oat Milk. I thoroughly enjoyed every step of the process of acquiring my beverage. I was greeted at the register by the finest of cashiers. Aditya was respectful and helpful throughout the process and I thoroughly enjoyed conversing with him. Next, I appreciated the hard work of Barista Lilian restocking the ice for my cold brew. She worked with professionalism and with a persistent manner. When I got my drink, I decreed that this is the finest cold brew I have tasted in my 16 years of life. A harmonious mix of flavors with a nice blend of acidity and rich notes with the creamy Oatly© Oat Milk balancing quite pleasingly. Overall, a most delightful experience, and one to remember. One, I worked at Starbucks when I was in college and this store knows how to make their drinks! I've never gotten a dead shot or been disappointed in a drink I've gotten here. Two, the baristas here are SO much more friendly. Three, my mobile orders are ALWAYS on time or even early. Hands down the superior Starbucks in this area. I put in a mobile order at this location expecting it to be ready within 5-8 minutes according to the Starbucks app. It took me about 7 or 8 minutes to get to the store from the time I put the order in. I waited in the store for nearly 10 minutes waiting on my order because the baristas kept stopping to talk to their friend on FaceTime. There was one employee who was holding the phone and going around to each person to let them talk to whoever was on the phone. Not only did this slow down service, but the volume on the phone was so loud that everyone in the store could hear what they were saying. Last Friday, the 27th, I went to Starbucks around noon. Ridiculous. Are you pouring drinks with your eyes closed? I even hinted that something was wrong with it by pointing at it and asking if you have extra napkins and all the woman did was point her head across the room rudely saying "they're over there". I shouldn't have to ask for a drink that is not spilling all over the place. You would think it's common sense. No apology or even attempt to clean it. My drink was leaking all over the place. I've been going to the Belmont Starbucks since Oct 2017 so not too long yet but I have to say that the staff their are awesome. Eric is running an awesome team and I'm ashamed that I haven't given a Yelp review until now but Ceci was on top of her game today!!! I'm only two doors down from there so I make my round 2 run around lunch and usually order a Venti Iced Water with my Iced Chai when I walk in there since you can't do it via mobile app. I walked in there today forgetting to do it and to my amazement it was already waiting for me next to my chai! Thanks Ceci!!! Keep up the great customer service! Just to add Im a regular now and everyone knows me with the exception of the new people! Not sure why this place is 3 1/2 stars. Yesterday, I went into this Starbucks around 6 pm. There was no one literally in the store. The associate who helped me was a young woman with black hair dyed with green tips. Her customer service was HORRIBLE! She was very standoffish and rude. She was even being bossy to her co-workers. It took me 20 minutes to get my order when there was no one in the store. Word of advice to the girl: I worked at Starbucks at 15. My customer service was top tier. What you're doing is not rocket science. Serve coffee with a smile and keep it moving. If you don't want to work there LEAVE! Don't make someone else's personal experience horrible, because you really don't want to work there. You are a deplorable associate. You do not belong in customer service. You have a nasty attitude and a dark aura. Next time leave your depression with your therapist, not the customers. read more

Be careful when ordering the PSL Frappuccino here, they may over pump on the syrup ... especially for those with limited sugar intake allowance treating yourself. Might be an app order issue. Tried to let the barista know my order specifically states 1 pump for a tall PSL Frap. She told me it's normally 3 pumps! She said I made a mistake ordering one the app, I told her multiple times I specifically updated the syrup amount to 1 pump. In the end she stuck to her condescending tone. My point on letting them know is to connect the inconsistency so I will feel comfortable ordering it again, and I'm sure for others. My order was at 12:45pm Monday, 10/7/2019. I understand Starbucks baristas hate making Frappuccinos, I have been told by past employees, but honestly, Starbucks needs to either stop selling them to us, or hire more appreciative baristas for where Starbucks is due to fraps bringing in business the 2nd half of the day. read more

When people say all Starbucks chains are the same, they need to be redirected here. This is my go-to location even though there is a location that is much closer to my work. The people who work here are friendly and somehow able to get the most complicated orders right every time. Yes, I realize this is Starbucks and that it really doesn't need a review because there is one on every corner. After going to this location for over a year, I finally decided to write this review because it is "holiday season" and this morning was BEYOND crowded! The orders were piling up, and I was overwhelmed just watching the employees trying to get the orders (including all the mobile ones they have to do on top of the in-store crowd). This being said, they were still able to get my order perfect and were all working so hard to get orders out as quick as possible. I ordered an almond milk double shot venti with whip , it came out as a grande no whip single. I stood at the counter for almost 4 minutes ( times it) waiting to get my order fixed. If I'm paying 7 dollars it should come out right. I was forced to call a girl over since not a single employee was going to acknowledge my presence. I go to Starbucks because I'm a Basic B*tch who loves her some tea lattes and getting a star added to her rewards card every time she makes a purchase. I'm not ashamed. It's easy. I'm lazy. They have indoor and outdoor seating. A spacious, working single stall loo. What's not to like? Don't get me wrong, I like to go to those other fancy or hipster or legit places, too, but I don't feel like I need to sh*t on Starbucks to appreciate them. The line at this location gets super long during peak hours... which are any moment between when they open an close. The only time I didn't stand in a line at least 8 people deep was on Christmas Eve late in the evening. The people who work here are nice and though my tea lattes are super inconsistent, they never taste bad so it's like cool surprise every time I sip and wonder if it will or won't have sweetener and will or won't taste like mint-flavored breast milk (which I legit like as a hot beverage flavor). Also worth noting is that it's clean and they frequently have cool events or paid-studies from Stanford posted on their bulletin board... which is always nice when you need a few extra bucks to throw at your landlord. read more
