I love coming here in the morning when I want to grab coffee on the way to work. It's easy to park, conveniently located & I am helped quickly. The morning staff is excellent - friendly, knows your name & what you like and are always smiling. The store & seating are are kept clean & they even have a bulletin board with kids pictures from their customers. I also enjoy seeing the fresh flowers on the counter when I'm there. There is room to sit & visit on soft chairs, a table or two & a counter. read more

This store is always crazy busy whenever I come (which is every weekday morning) however no matter how busy they are the crew here is always upbeat and friendly. They have the orders ready in a flash and they try extra hard to remember you and what you like. It's a major conglomerate store with a hometown feel. The staff here keep me coming back. I'd drive across San Mateo, past a dozen Starbucks, and into Belmont, to get a coffee here. Keep up the awesome work!! read more

Over the last few months this location has become under managed or under trained even by Starbucks standards resulting on a very poor consumer experience. Staff at this particular location decided to put used/read papers left by patrons back into the shelf for customers to re-purchase. Having witnessed an incident where staff asked a customer to purchase a 2nd hand paper that apparently should have been obvious that they were for sale (?), So I asked the manager about it and she said that it was their policy to make sure there are no papers left behind by patrons and removed from the premises (?) but I surmise that some are put back in to the sale shelf instead. Anyway, there is a Peet's 100 yards away that not only has better coffee but also has a newspaper basket where you can donate your paper for next patron to read or reuse one already sitting there. Also (ironically) the other Starbucks in Belmont on Ralston, as well as the one on Holly St next to (Ralph grocery store) both have outdoor sitting and a more coffee drinker friendly attitude from the staff and its interpretation of the Starbucks corporate policy that allows for a newspaper basket. Given this choices I would opt for the former because its closer and better. read more

Flies inside the store and the floor is always dirty. I don't feel comfortable drinking my coffee here or eating my snacks. It needs some cleaning indeed. read more

I get my caramel cappucino here occasionally! Finding parking here can be tricky but there are always people coming and leaving so a space usually opens after a short wait. The people are nice and friendly! read more

Consistently fast service and quality coffe

Arrived early to beat the crowd and 2 people ahead of me. Ordered a blonde latte n gluten free breakfast sandwich. (Easy order I thought) coffee arrived in fairly good time....Breakfast sandwiches ordered after me were filled ahead of me .....so after about 15 minutes of waiting I tried to refund n cancel. Told it would just be a couple minutes....so I waited n needless to say it took much longer to get the sandwich ....n when I looked in the bag .... the sandwich had been removed from the gluten free wrapper n put in the bag....when I pointed it out to the two individuals working the ovens they said sorry, it was a mistake..... 30 minute wait for a sandwich I had paid for but couldn't even eat..... so frustrating n of course by now the line was 10 deep so had to leave ..... although they are pleasant n greet everyone the timeliness n quality control need a lot of improvement.... read more

I'm a teacher. I had to go into work on a Saturday morning to put in some additional hours in preparation for the following week. I thought to order a little breakfast before going in. I chose this particular Starbucks location because it is closest to my home. Using the mobile order feature I ordered a bagel and a hot beverage. Upon walking in I noticed that my bagel was ready (the packaging had my name on it). I looked in the bag and it was the wrong item. I looked up and all 4-5 baristas were taking turns flirting with a male customer with an infant. I let one of the servers know that the item was incorrect. They all giggled like this was funny and returned to taking turns flirting with this man. When my drink was finally ready it was simply pushed in my direction without consideration of it being a hot beverage. I placed my drink in the hot beverage slip, grabbed the correct food item and left. Not a single person in the group showed any care that their immature behavior was affecting the rest of their paying customers. And would you really act this way if that baby's mom was present?? read more

Very cute Starbucks. Tough to find parking but employees are great! It's located in the plaza off ralston and el camino real. This place can definitely busy since the location is great. I highly recommend parking in Safeway lot then walking over to save you the trouble. read more

Guy at the register had a weird attitude. Ordered grande one sugar in the raw latte - barista made the drink called it out then grabbed it off the bar and proceeded to add 3 pumps of vanilla syrup to it before placing it back onto the bar. Mind you, she saw me watch her do it...nice integrity read more

This used to be my favorite Starbucks until last night. I ordered a Pumpkin Spice Latte. The woman behind the counter was real friendly and placed the order. The problem was the new barista. Some guy wearing glasses was busy talking to some other customer. Yak yak yak yak. I waited 5 minutes. The woman behind the counter quickly made 3 frappucino's and poured coffee for two other customers. Still no drink. Finally the barista finishes his conversation and I get my drink. This better be good, I waited 10 minutes and no one else ordered an espresso drink. Yuck! It's bitter and there is no pumpkin flavor. My friend was waiting just as long and the guy 's not moving to fix her drink. She asks if he's making a decaf latte, he snaps back that he has to refill the machine. She hated her drink too. new to the area! but this starbucks is far the best coffee place ive visited! this place is always busy and full of people but their customer service here is really awesome the barista(idk whats his name but he has a man pony) really is kind and courteous he never forget to say thankyou and even gives time for his customers usually a barista would just throw a customers order but he takes time and sometimes offer straw to a customer!! the day i went to this store im guessing he was already tired by his facial reaction but still he never gave attitude but still served the drinks with a big smile and a loud thankyou before a customer leaves with his drink i give this starbucks a 5 star because of the friendliness and kindness of their workers the cashier that day too was so nice even though she sounds So pumped up lol 5 stars for this store ill visit this store soon!!!!!!! read more

Hey Staff at this Starbucks location! If there are THREE of you behind the counter and you are yapping away with the customer at the register and I am the 2nd one in line, don't you think that one of you should already be taking my order?? The ridiculous thing about this was that they ALL were talking to that ONE customer... for a good 2-3 minutes. HELLO???? DO YOU NOT SEE ME (waving my arms in the air). I was completely annoyed. It wasn't exactly "rush hour" but it was between 9:30-10am... This was yesterday morning, 8/10... so manager, please take note of the staff working that shift and let them know that it's OK to be nice and friendly to your customers (seemed like this one might have been a regular), but the two others just yapping away or listening in on their conversation should be tending to the other customers. Keep it moving people! What am I, chopped liver? GEEZ. I should have gone to my usual Starbucks on El Camino on San Mateo (across from Jack's). Much better service!! read more
