I spent an hour enjoying a nice hot tea at this Starbucks while my daughter took her art lesson at Fibo. That part of the visit was all great: the tea was hot and fragrant, the service fast and friendly. Then I walked over to pick up my daughter and walked back to order a Vanilla Bean Frappe as a reward for her doing a good job at the class. And I ordered a refill of hot tea. The barista who carried a happy conversation with the customer before me GAVE ME A LECTURE ON HOW THE REFILL IS ONLY FOR "IN HOUSE" SO EVEN FOR STEPPING OUTSIDE FOR 10 MINUTES SHE'S SUPPOSED TO RING IT UP AS A NEW ORDER. But she'd give me this refill "just this one time." And then SHE ASKED ME TO BRING HER THE CUP I HAD. AND THEN SHE CAREFULLY CHECKED THE LABEL. So dear fellow Starbucks customers, if you plan to get a refill at this location, make sure you don't step out of their door because this location has a 5-star employee who will take her time to educate you on store policy. read more

It was 11:30am on a Saturday morning. Came into This Starbucks with my puppy. 9 week your old German Shepard puppy. I'm a veteran and She is my registered emotional service dog. I had an ID for verification. When I went to get my normal black coffee the cashier told me I wasn't aloud to be bring her in. I simply explained the situation to her, but she continued to make it difficult to order my drink and complete my order. I told her I'd be in and out with the black coffee and ask if she would she rather just have me leave her without me in the car next time, she replied yes. I'm not a morning person myself. But rude service, questioning my reason for having an emotional support dog, causing a scene when I simply wanted my black coffee, and lastly to tell me to leave my dog in the car unattended. I love this Starbucks! I can not say enough about the consistency of my beverage and the food, Always spot on!! I travel up to different locations during the week and I always miss my little Brea store. Little but mighty! The team there is always do friendly, always gets my drink right which I am so grateful for, it doesn't matter how swamped they are, they always take the time to ask how your doing and to really just add that little extra special touch that we just love and makes our day. TINY location with tables that only fit two. Baristas were super friendly even when my friend asked for a custom drink (the Butterbeer frap) and had to show them her phone for the recipe. Since there was a line, I didn't want to test my luck asking for a blood orange slush, so I opted for a blended strawberry lemonade instead. This location is located in a plaza with a number of other shops and food places, so if you get tired of Starbucks, there are definitely other places to go. read more

i've been on a hunt to find a legit starbucks that makes delicious coffee at a fast rate. finally one day after driving to work, i came across this starbucks and it turns out that htis one is the best by far! this starbucks is amazing! the workers there are very lively, like no other. there are so many different characters working at that location and you just can't help but smile. if you're a usual customer, they will have your drink ready right when you enter their store. ??? This place has some bad reviews, but I don't really know why? I've only had a problem a few times I've gone here, and I've been here a lot. None of the staff have ever been unfriendly to me and always did their best to correct any mistakes that have happened. The only ones I've seen act nasty are some of the customers. If you come during the morning rush, of course you'll have to wait a little while for your drinks. It can get pretty crazy in the early morning, and it's a smaller cafe. Personally, I like this one most of the ones I've been to around here. I've been to others, but I had a lot more experiences with those getting my order wrong somehow... My drinks and stuffs are comparable quality every time I come. I've always just ordered things to go, and that is what most people who go here seem to do since it's not very big, but you could work or bring someone with you there, too. My only problem is... there's almost always too much ice in the iced drinks. It's more of a general problem with starbucks than any specific location, but it always sucks nonetheless. It means less actual drink and blending is almost impossible. But overall, I like this location a lot. I think that's obvious since I keep going back. read more

I don't want to write a negative complaint about this place but, is it just me or have some of the staff members lost their friendliness? I use to come here every morning but lately I've just passed this place on by because of a few grumpy faces. Who wants to see that first thing in the morning? not me! I tip these people every time too! The only person i see that is consistent with their happy positives attitudes is the guy with the glasses and Asian lady. Kind of bothered me that the tall African American guy rolls his eyes at me every time i smile and say hello. It's like SHEESH! This was my goto Starbucks as an undergrad at CSU Fullerton. Not only was it on my way, but lines were never long and the service was always top notch. I've since graduated and haven't been in the store for a while. A friend and I stopped in last weekend and I was glad to see that nothing hd changed, including my favorite baristas being there. Nancy (forgive me if the name is wrong) is hands-down amazing!!! She remembered me after a year+ of not being in the store and even remembered what I was going to school for and asked how everything was. This is why I only go to certain Starbucks. Sure, they're all supposed to be like this (as a former barista, I know), but let's be honest, they're not! You can't teach service like this. Every barista in there was working together like a well-oiled machine. While the other store (State College and Nutwood) is good in a few ways, this store is great in every way!!! read more

I normally come into this starbucks and never have a problem but today the guy who took my order was so incredibly rude. He over charged me for a drink i order all of the time and when i told him I don't pay that much he gave me an attitude and said sorry your not responsible for your actions and this is the price. I was so appalled. You work in customer service Chris should have been nicer. It wasn't like I was holding up a line or anything. I honestly have never had anyone be so rude. I have always loved Starbucks, but one of the drinks I really liked, the Peach Green Tea Lemonade, always had too much ice for me. I've gone to many other Starbucks and they could never make it quite right, always having an inch deep layer of ice when I asked for minimal/light ice. Today though it was different, I finally visited this one in Brea and got helped by a lovely women with her hair in braids and wearing glasses, she was older than the younger kids, but not too old and full of energy! I told her of my dilemma with other Starbucks and she took it upon herself to make my drink right. To my delight I got a filled to the brim drink with just the lightest coating of ice up top! I thanked her profusely and recommend the great workers at this Starbuck, as another one of them, a tall dark male with the most awesome hair helped me earlier to grab a food item and warmed it up for me, and delivered it with the swiftest service I've ever seen. read more

So sad at the service I just experienced. I am not really one to complain but waiting over 20 minutes for two drinks and having six people in line behind you get their drinks ahead of your order is unacceptable. There was one barista handling all iced drinks and three others behind the counter, two of which were talking and I saw my empty cups just sitting there. I had to remind them of our drinks and then someone came over and handed me a card making no eye contact or apology just a mumbled "next drink's on us." Please get a better handle on customer service and more efficient managing of orders. read more

I've been enjoying Starbucks for several years and this store ALWAYS makes my white chocolate mocha perfect every time! The shopping mall does lack sufficient parking spaces so you just have to be patient because it'll be worth the wait! The staff is friendly and courteous. The store recently went through a remodel to improve the flow, order experience, sales displays, and seating. Nice, pleasant store to grab a drink. read more
