so today I went to Starbucks and got there at 8:26 I ordered a green tea Frappuccino with five pumps of hazelnut sweetener instead of the classic. I ordered a sandwich and then they gave me my stuff and I drove away. I tried my drink right out the driveway and it had no sweetener in it so I pull back around and I asked if they could remake it and they said we can give you this sweetener. What am I gonna do? Pour the sweetener on top of my drink and then mix it up with my straw ridiculous and so I asked for a refund and that took longer than it would have to remake the drink because too lazy to wash out the fucking blender again I guess but like what the fuck two minutes later I can't get it remade clothes now but you just did it. You just made the fucking drink what's the big fucking deal but you can do a refund it takes longer than it would take to make the drink. read more

3.5/5 All things considered, this is a Starbucks, and offers what you would expect at a typical Starbucks. Located on Maple, close to its intersection with Medical District, it is fairly close to UTSW, Parkland, and the hospitals. It is a little hidden away and easy to miss, but is fairly easy to get to. Like others have stated, there is primarily a drive thru, but there is a window you can walk up to for ordering if you don't want to go through the drive thru. The menu is a little abbreviated from a regular Starbucks, but they have most of the popular drinks, so it shouldn't be a problem. My wait was about average length, and the baristas were really friendly! They seemed like they enjoyed their job and were happy to help me. I really liked the outside seating! It was well shaded for a hot day like today (high 80s!). There's plenty of chairs and tables for studying or hanging out outside. There are also some fans to help keep you cool. Overall, I don't know if I'll go to this location over a regularly sized Starbucks, but if I need a quick drive thru when I'm not studying, this would be a good place to go! read more

Quick and friendly service. I like this location because it is near the hospitals. The drive thru is always insanely long so I just get out and walk up to the window. Another great option is ordering ahead of time and getting it at the window. I just now realized the sitting area off to the side. I just wanted to give a big thank you to the staff working at this Starbucks location on Thursday, August 25th at 2:30 pm! I decided that I needed coffee and because it wasn't too hot, I used the walk-up window. The guy at the front was great and the young woman working behind him was fantastic. I knew I wanted a shot of espresso but they made a great recommendation, got it out quickly, and were very friendly while doing it. I will definitely be going back specifically because of those two. This is a regular Starbucks, but I didn't know it was basically a drive-thru only place. You can't go inside to order, but there is a window where you can order and then an outside seating area. I was fine with that, as I was just grabbing a drink on the way home, but I wouldn't recommend this Starbucks on a hot summer day if you're planning to hang out for a while. *Gasp* A chain store with more than 3 stars? That's right! This location exceeded my expectations-- Customer service is where it's at :) The service is awesome! I took forever deciding, and one of the workers offered a nutrition fact sheet in lieu of a menu for items that weren't displayed on the pictorial menu. She answered all my silly questions and stayed bubbly. After using a card with a prepaid balance, my total came out to be 18 cents. She didn't want me to use my credit card for such a minuscule charge, so she said it was no biggie and sent me on my merry way~ since when did a big name giant make small acts of kindness like that? This location has an outdoor patio with seating for those who like to broil in the sweltering sun, a walk up window, and a drive through, but not much else. I still don't understand why people decide on drive through instead of parking and walking up, but hey, it's Amurrica.. This is the first time I have ever had a bad experience at this location. I drove all the way over here from ft worth ave bc there are no locations open near me. They are all "temporarily closed" or just closed for the entire day. Which is fine. I loaded up my dogs in the car and drove all the way to this location just for them to tell me that they will not make my dogs pup cups bc they have been instructed not to. Apparently, they did not make enough whipped cream this morning and they didn't want to make more. I wish I had a job I could say stuff like this to customers. Laughable. It takes like 5-10 min tops to make whipped cream. The girl that took my order was AWEFUL. Not only did she ask for my order and then ignore my response, and then asked me to repeat myself after waiting in silence after I gave my order the first time, she wouldn't help me with the card reader which was too far for me to reach. She just let me struggle. And then, had the nerve to have a smug ass attitude with me bc I'm clearly irritated with how my morning is starting off and not to mention, the level of customer service I am receiving. I live Close to this location so I visit often. 4 out of 5 times that I visit the drink is wrong. There's always the new employees I feel like this is a training location every single time the drink is made wrong and I know this because I get the same exact drink every time I go to a Starbucks and this is the only one that makes it wrong every single time, I should not have to correct the barista's in making the drinks that is a recipe that they do every single day. Service is always friendly, and they've always gotten my order correct. Great location!! I visited for the first time today with a large order - 12 drinks. They were able to get them made quickly and had me on my way. The best part was the wonderful folks that work there! They were so upbeat and friendly. I even had a nice message on my bag. The service here has always sucked. They are really slow. They sit and talk with customers at the drive through. With the whole Corona Virus crap going around, I understand the precaution of avoiding contact with people. I ordered my normal coffee at 7:49am to pick up. Drive there and couldn't use the walk up window to pick up. They made me go through the drive through window. Took them 10 extra mins in the drive through to get my drink. Again, the employee sat at the drive through window talking with the customer. Instead they could have handed my drink at the walk up. Having a whole conversation at the drive through window! Like WTF! Made me EXTREMELY frustrated. I've decided to end my relationship with Starbucks for their slowness. read more

We showed up at 7pm tonight. The starbucks was empty. The cashier was very short at the drive through rushing us and cutting my husband off and giving the total before he even finished ordering. When my husband ordered a protein box the cashier said they didn't have that one in a rude tone. When my husband asked if they had a different one the cashier said no rudely. When asked if they had any paninis instead the answer was no. The cashier didn't offer any alternatives or mention what they did have in stock or even apologize or say anything in a friendly or nice way. I understand that things run out towards the end of the day. This review is solely about customer service. We've never had a problem with great customer service at starbucks but tonight we had a rude employee who made the experience poor and we left without giving this location our business. read more

This new Starbucks opened right by my place and so I wanted to check it out. I parked and walked to try to find the entrance, but there was none. Turns out this is a walk-up or drive-thru only Starbucks. While most of the parking seemed to be filled by the employees, there were a few spots remaining. When I walked up to the window, I was kindly greeted and received my morning coffee promptly. Although I do like browsing the treats and food items instead of just looking at pictures, this new Starbucks seemed fitting for the Medical District area who just need a quick coffee to go in the morning or afternoons. They do have a nice patio and sitting area outside though. So unless it's too hot or rainy, I'm sure to see those seats fill up quickly throughout the summer! read more

I'm a coffee connoisseur. Anyone who knows me could attest to that. I'm most likely in Starbucks "Biggest Fan" club as well. Again, this is no secret. So you can imagine how excited I was the first time I saw the "Future Home of Starbucks" sign go up just 6 blocks from my apartment. I started thinking of how convenient it would be in the mornings before I go to work, as I wouldn't have to train to the Lemmon & Knight location, which is in the opposite direction from work. As the construction of the new Maple Ave location advanced, I begin to see how small it was. "Doesn't look like there is going to be much room to sit on my laptop and work" (as I normally do). As construction came to a close, I realized that it wasn't that there was going to be little room to enjoy my SB inside, there was going to be NO room inside for patrons. Apparently in this new design, it was a hybrid between a drive-thru only, and an outside window for people to walk up and order. -_- really? I don't claim to be a strategic commercial developer, but one wouldn't need to be to understand that with the radical weather Texas is known for (extreme hot & extreme cold), who would want to stand outside and order a drink. Not to mention, I'm not a specialty drink kind of guy. A Venti Blonde, please and thank you. And I like to add my own condiments (2 Splenda, 1 sugar, and just the right amount of half-n-half). There is no outside condiment bar, so I would need to rely on the baristas to do a perfect pour of my creamer. It really makes no sense. The Medical District is a rapidly growing area in Dallas. With the monstrous new Parkland, and the adjacent UT Southwestern, this area is booming with droves of residency students. This would have been the perfect spot to open a SB with an expanded lobby. I'll hope that in time the powers that be see the wisdom in my argument and rethink this structure. Until then, my morning routine still leads me to Lemmon & Knight. read more

Always slow service. Often get my order wrong and they don't offer to reimburse me. The only way to get semi decent service is to get out of your car and go to the window. Employees are clueless and management isn't much better. I wouldn't recommend this starbucks and being a gold member who goes to Starbucks a lot I avoid this location even though it's the closest one to me. read more

Do you want to wait 20 minutes for your coffee? Didn't think so. Neither did I. Not the first time it happened at this location, nor the tenth. Regardless, if you chose to frequent this location, you will wait...and wait...and wait. While here, I've had: 1) Someone take my coffee drink (iced) instead of theirs (hot) because they were tired of waiting and just wanted a drink and to leave 2) Someone in the drive-thru line screech back up and honk so others would let him escape 3) Several free drinks due to the inordinate wait (apparently the staff is aware of the problem) So what gives? Why is this location SO FRACKING SLOW? Is it all the Texans who order gingerbread bread christmas pumpking triple caramel mocha macchiota frappucinos and then a breakfast sandwich and desert? Or is it simply the economy is so good here, they can't find workers who are quick on their feet? I have no idea. I do know that they are not understaffed. Eight workers for one drive-thru line, and they still can't keep it moving. So I'm tired of the wait, and I'm quitting this place. I just want a damn cup of coffee. Not a sandwich. Not a smoothie. Not a millkshake. Not a cake. JUST COFFEE. And that shouldn't take 20 fracking minutes. Here's to hoping someone opens up a Dunkin Donuts nearby. Better coffee, better prices, better service. I am so torn on the concept of a walk up/drive through only Starbucks. - As a drive through, this is great. Quick caffeine, nothing beats that. - BUT the walk up takes forever. And during that everlong wait, you are outside. In Texas. Fun times do not ensue. Despite standing in the Texas heat waiting for the Starbucks employees to notice me (and watching all the cars get their coffee fix) and despite what seemed to be a limited menu compared to other locations, I don't think I have it in my little caffeine-addict heart to give Starbucks anything less than four stars. read more

This Starbucks needs major help. I was hoping the first few times I had an issue I had just caught them at a bad time; end of a rush and hadn't cleaned the machine/changed their beans. Maybe the last of the coffee from earlier in the morning. But they are consistently bad. The shots in my americano always taste old, dead and sour. My husband just gets a regular pike and it, too, is always sour. I went through one time to get a family member that can't have caffeine a decaf coffee and they were out. They've been out of coffee stoppers more than once which caused my coffee to spill out in my car when I get on bumpy roads. Total bummer that the hospital Starbucks is closed down and this is the closest we can find right now, though I might just be sticking to the hospital coffee for the rest of our stay. read more

For this to be the main Starbucks to a very large hospital you would expect increased customer traffic and speedy service WELL this is NOT what you get from this Starbucks. It's one of the slowest moving (10-15 mins wait) Starbucks, and then once your in line your trapped. So I've learned to go without caffeine or go to another Starbucks. I work in the medical district and we are surrounded by Starbuck's but all on campus with weird hours. If you don't work in the building of a Starbucks it makes for a very tedious task. so I am ecstatic to find a self standing Starbuck's near campus with friendly staff and so far no long lines. I went this Sunday afternoon and there was no one in line, i didn't even think it was open yet. There is no walk-in area but rather walk-up and drive thru a little unfortunate. read more

It's a drive through Starbucks and small window to order if you don't want go drive through but its get very busy in the morning.
