    Shared seating vibes

"I'll have one tall blonde."The guy behind me says, "I want one of those too!" LOL. I frequent this Starbucks even though they had a slow season. Many employees were in the training phase so expect some delays at time. What I ordered- simple drip coffee. If you arrive before 10am, they have a light roast called "Blonde Roast." Ambiance- it feels mid century modern now. The vibe use to be more cozy. Now they have communal seating and wood furniture. Price level- what to save an extra few cents? Order a, "short." This is a cup size smaller than a tall. Parking- no problem at all because this Starbucks is sandwiched among many other shops.

Disgusting Starbucks filth. Where's the health department?

Here's another review about the filth that permeates this store. It's always filthy but, today, they took filth to a new level that even third-world countries would have to work to achieve. The coffee bar was out of napkins, milk and sugar. The garbage was flowing out of the hole and onto the coffee bar. As usual, the coffee bar was disgusting. This is always a problem and indicates the incompetence of the store and district managers. It would take fewer than 5 minutes to wipe down and stock that coffee bar, yet it's always dirty. Take a look at the tables, floor and food prep area and ask yourself if you should be ingesting anything made in this bastion of muck. Beyond the filth, their web order scheme is a disaster. You could walk into an empty store thinking that you'll be quickly served only to find 20 web orders in front of you with another 10 completed orders sitting on the counter. I don't want to web order and I don't want to wait around at the convenience of those who do, and then let their orders sit around for 10 minutes while I wait for my coffee. Starbucks sucks. Their coffee is trash and their store is trash. I do applaud them for giving those with a taste for sugary, milky "coffee" drinks, and without any disdain of filth, a place to go.

I've spent a lot of time in coffee shops, but the crew at this Blackhawk Plaza location really operates at a different level.

The line moved too quick I wish i couldve have more time to decide so i ended up getting more than I wanted. We got there Chocolate croissant, brioche, Flan Vanille, macaroons, marshmallow, 2 tuna sandwich, ham and cheese croissant and the croque monsieur. Although everything was pleasant our favorite was the Flan Vanille and the tuna sandwiches. The Flan vanille is my new favorite dessert going forward. I know it was a busy day and the staff was busy with the orders and service making tables available however they could improve in checking their bathroom and trash bins. All bins were too full even one by the counter. We notice that the staff continously wiping the counter but didnt notice the overflowing trash bin. Other than that i couldnt stop bragging about Mason Benoit on my social media. We will definitely come back.

From time to time, I pick up a box of chouquettes. Ten to be exact. Can't just have one and it's nice to share. It's simple yet so tasty. I especially enjoy them with some coffee/expresso. The bakery is always busy, but that's not surprising. Their pastries are really good.

Salmon crepe: 4/5- this came with a salad with light dressing. Crepe itself was slightly crispy with a nice mixture of salmon, spinach and egg. Good combination. Added Tapatio for some heat. Menu did say it was spicy but didn't pick up on that. Shibuya Honey Toast: 5/5 - I was intrigued by the name and picture in the store. When it arrived, it was presented nicely with chocolate and vanilla ice cream with blueberries and strawberries around the plate. The Honey bread itself has a nice crisp to it with the right balance of sweetness to it. My wife and I devoured this. Definitely recommended. Overall, this was a great spot if you are craving crepes. Service is attentive and friendly.
