I've been drinking Peet's for almost 30 years now, and it is still, hands down, my favorite coffee. The quality is consistently excellent, rich, and bold -- and your Holiday Blend? Absolute perfection every single year. It's something I genuinely look forward to. At the coffee shops, I do think the pastry selection has some room to grow to fully match the high standard of the coffee itself. The drinks shine brighter than the baked goods. Living in Chico, we don't have a Peet's location -- only bakeries that serve Peet's with the lowest-quality creamer (ouch). It makes me appreciate even more how great the real experience is. I've been going to this location for many years, but no more. I see the majority of employees working very hard except for one girl who moves like a sloth and has zero personality at work. I went on a weekday and it was empty inside except for 1 customer sitting. I ordered and moved to the side while another regular customer came in and the sloth-girl engaged in a lengthy conversation with her while I waited over 10 minutes to get my order (1 thing). There was no "thanks for waiting" or apology, she just said "here ya' go". I sent an email to Peets support, but that was futile. And nothing from the store management. Stupid. Done with this location, sloth-girl sucks. read more

My note is for the GM of this location. During the weekday mornings, only 1 barista is on duty. I understand hiring issues, etc., but then get down there yourself and help out. Lots of mobile orders and lots of us waiting around for over 20 minutes for a latte. It's a weekday mornings, we have somewhere to be. I was reluctant to stop because of this and took my chance. This is one of my favorite Peet's locations in the Tri-Valley area. Conveniently located in the Crow Canyon Commons near the namesake Hwy 680 exit, it has lots of parking and indoor and outdoor seating. I have been here numerous times over the years and have never had a bad experience. The store is clean and well organized, and the staff is always courteous and helpful. Peet's overall is fine just like most other popular coffee chains. The drinks and food are overall fine as is the service. The ambiance may never be the same as Starbucks since they don't have all the exact same features that Starbucks has like good music, or the sweet smell of coffee beans. But they're still a good coffee store to go to if you're in a rush and need a cup and your local Starbucks is too busy which they always are in San Ramon. read more

This review has been a long time coming.. i am fortunate to have 3 locations in the city of San Ramon, which is a city I live in. Of all locations, unfortunately, I have to say that this is the location that 7 out of 10 times gets my drink wrong. Unfortunately, it's always missing something. However, the reason I gave them a 4 star because the quality of the actual beverage is always stellar. This company in general makes it a point of having the same quality no matter the location you go to. And I know I can always count on that. They also have excellent customer service. In terms of the ambiance I really enjoy at all locations. Have it set up to wear if you work remotely or are on your computer or are studying? This is a great place for that. This specific location has a nice outdoor seating area, which I personally enjoy. I also wanted to mention that they usually have a nice selection of pastries and cookies or snacks in general. read more

Updating my review to five stars after speaking to a manager about last weekend. Me and my buddy are patrons of Peet's Coffee and stop by every Saturday morning at 6:15am. Last weekend the doors were locked at Peet's. We could see a Barista inside and she didn't come to the door. We left and went to Starbucks. This morning I had a chance to speak to the manager Noelle about the situation and she explained that associates are not allowed to open the door nor be alone for security purposes. The manager was in the bathroom at the time we showed up. They unlocked the doors after the manager came out of the bathroom. Shout out to Noelle for giving us coffee on the house. read more

I got a cold brew here a couple Saturdays ago and it was bitter and unpleasant. Overall, there is a lot of seating here (indoors and outdoors), so I'd recommend it if you need a convenient place to meet someone or get some work done. I have been holding on to $9.95 on my Peet card for quite awhile because I am a Starbucks person but today I decided to clear it out. I went to the Peet's and ordered a decaf winter spiced latte. As they were making it, I noticed the "snow cap" option for s few of their drinks. I was so disappointed that I hadn't seen it. I asked the barista if he could add a small amount so I could try it but I would pay. He said no problem and just gave it to me. What a delight! It is like a wetter whip cream with a dash of vanilla is how he described it to me. Well, it tasted and looked awesome. Check it out! The only weird thing is as I was leaving, there were two men enjoying the sunshine, sitting on a cement border (I don't even know what you call it) and chatting with their Peet's. A Peet's employee in a car, told them they could not sit there and drink due to covid. It was just sort of weird because I have never witnessed an employee giving orders from their cars! haha It's cool. We have to be safe but I felt sorry for the guys. Review is for Doordash ordering experience: Working from home during COVID-19 can be challenging, and one of the first decisions to make is where to get your daily coffee. I don't brew coffee at home since its less practical for one person, as my wife prefers tea. Doordash makes it convenient to have coffee and goodies delivered to your door. My local Peet's has done a decent job at making my hot Americano each time. Their Almond Crown Croissants are decent and I especially like their chocolate-covered cashew for snack. However, there are some negatives. The one major downside is that Doordash requires a $12 minimum order to avoid fees. In cases where Peet's has ran out of an item, you still get charged and there is no direct mechanism for Peet's to offer a replacement item of similar value. A better, realtime Doordash menu that reflects actual store inventory is preferred. After several occasions of incomplete orders, I stopped using Doordash for coffee delivery. Instead, when working from home I switched to Starbucks VIA instant coffee. read more

I love Peet's!! The rewards system is great and I've been a Peetnik for almost 4 years now. I start going fairly often as the holidays roll around because I ADORE the seasonal drinks. I frequent the other locations in Danville/SR, and I only JUST started going to this one. It's actually my favorite so far. I really enjoy the ambience of this location - there's a ton of natural light and ample seating. The music is good and the baristas are so friendly and chill. I tried the Pumpkin Latte and the Honey Harvest Latte (the new Fall offering) and they were both so delicious and flavorful. Peets espresso is certainly on the darker end, and I feel like this is great for flavored lattes because you accomplish a bold coffee flavor with a hint of flavor. I asked for only one pump in each of these, and I really enjoyed them regardless. But then again, I'm not a fan of sweet drinks. PRO TIP: If you aren't lactose intolerant / vegan / have any dietary restrictions etc. ask for Whole Milk in your drinks!! It's much creamier and holds the espresso/flavor much better. I wish there were more outlets though! Luckily, I've never failed to snag the table near them. This store doesn't prioritize customers in the store. It's not efficient at all. This particular location should close permanently. Rather than take orders from the customers in line. The only cashier at the front completed a bean order of one customer. The line continued to form until there was 7 people in line. No one from the back came around to take over taking orders until 10 minutes had passed. What's the point of ordering coffee in person anymore? The customers who ordered online got priority over the people in the store lol read more

I've been to this Peet's a few times. From the last time I came here, they renovated or maybe just changed all of the tables, chairs, and added a few pendant lights. Since there are so many businesses near this Peet's and the one off of Sunset, I never really am able to sit down for a few minutes and chill while I sip on my large drink. About a year ago, my youngest sat down and her chair fell over...literally. The patrons and workers barely blinked an eye. My little one still gets very weary when we visit this Peet's. She'll always mention that this is where she fell down. I guess I better stick to the Peet's that is on Bollinger since it's a lot more casual there and we usually don't have a problem sitting down for a few minutes. read more

I am a regular at this Peet's location. The staff is always friendly. I have a regular drink ordered when it's cold weather and another one for the warm weather. Today I ordered my Sugar free Vanilla Latte w/almond milk and cinnamon on top. They put the right consistency of foam and he brand of syrup they use is so delicious. The bathroom is clean and is now available for both gender usage. The tables are spread out and quite cute because they are like bistro tables. There is also bar seating available leaning by the store front windows. Outside seating is available but too cold for today. The amount of liquiD in my medium cup is a nice level. I hate it when I order a meDium coffee in other places and it's like ordering a small size cup of coffee. This place gets pretty packed around early morning and early afternoon. Overall, it's worth waiting on line for my drinks at Peet's. My almond foam blends nicely with the cinnamon as I drink my SFVL. read more

This is my favorite Peets in the area! Yes, there's one on Sunset by Target but this one takes the cake due to their impeccable customer service! I have never encountered a rude employee or an unreasonably long wait time. These employees know how to treat their customers right and get those who need to get in-and-out, out in a timely manner. My go to drink is their cold brew! There's just something about the smooth iced coffee taste that really hits the spot especially during these hot summer months! I recently also tried their Coconut Black Tie, which is to my knowledge essentially their cold brew with condensed milk and coconut flavoring (?) either way it's yummy and definitely worth it! Especially with the $1 off check in offer that is currently available. Also, while I have never done it personally before the baristas informed me that if you want your coconut black tie to have a less intense coconut flavor say the word! This Peets is located on Crow Canyon Road. We came here on a Saturday and it got very busy quickly. The service was average. The issue that I had was since it was busy the staff perhaps was rushing through quickly with the orders. My drink had an issue but it was too busy for me to even say anything. Someone elses drink that was ready came out overflowing and all they did was give her another cup for the spillage. They have plenty of seating and parking on the weekends. During the week the parking is chaotic because everyone heads to this plaza on their lunch break. Was very dissatisfied with my visit to this Pete's coffee. I made a mistake and thought I was walking into the Panera bread that was next-door. As Panera's lets you use the bathroom without making you feel like a criminal. The woman at the counter was very nice to me. But! the woman next to her decided to make me feel like garbage and make sure to tell me that she had to go and scrub the bathroom now because I used it. If you're going to keep people out of the bathroom then you need to make that clear on the door. They pointed out that there were chairs in the way but they were not in the way. There was an opening and the chairs were just there because they cleared out all the seating for the restaurant. No reason for that young lady to be as aggressive and angry as she was. I would not come back to this place again and I do not recommend it to others. Hire a nicer people! read more
