This has to be the worst Starbucks in MA. I live nearby so this should be my go-to location but I can't ever go! Half the time they are closed when they are supposed to be open, the store is closed but drive thru is open (with 10+ cars in line), their mobile ordering is down, or worse, they take my order but when i get there the lobby is closed so i have to wait 45 min in drive thru for my order which is already done and made and melting or give up and lose my $$! Frequently, they are out of stock of basic items. Look at this, every cold coffee is out of stock! How can that be? They need to just close this location until they can sort out their many issues. read more

All locations are not the same. I get the best serve at the Rte 1 Norwood location. They are patient and friendly. The walpole location drive through is good too, they get your order correct and are fairly quick processing your order. I have been to the Westwood location a few times and they are the worst! read more

I love using this store for mobile order or walk in. The baristas are all super duper friendly and on point. Ordering on the ap, my order has always been ready on time and easy to grab when I walk in. One time I orders my coffee for the wrong location thinking it was this location and they were so kind as to remake my order for that store. The barista really went above and beyond, again they are so friendly here. It is a very busy location. Negatives: the drive through is out of control at all times and sometimes blocks the parking for customers going into the store. read more

Worst Starbucks there is! Workers are not attentive to details, the speed is extremely slow even when it's not busy (prepare to wait 15-20 minutes for your drink), they often get your order wrong, drinks sometimes don't taste as good as at other locations, mobile ordering is often turned off, they sometimes close early or unexpectedly, and they're just not pleasant to deal with. The workers can be unkind and inflexible with your requests as well. Very upsetting. This Starbucks location needs serious revamping and work. read more

Busy Sunday morning, that I get. A team of like 20 girls came in ahead of me and really made it tough, that I get. Patiently waited 25 minutes for my drink and food. My drink came out first. While grabbing my drink I saw an empty sandwich wrapper with my name and order on it. This isn't standard practice so I asked and the barista if it was coming or what the situation was and with an attitude she told me I needed to just wait. I wait another 10 minutes to finally overhear them telling people they're actually out of certain items, including what I had ordered. I understand the stress of when the store is busy but you still have to be courteous, especially to customers that are being polite. This location seems to have a bunch of baristas with piss poor attitudes when they are under pressure. read more

So I've been a Starbucks customer for close to 20 years, but this experience from 1-15-23 was something I had never seen before. I drove up to the Starbucks at 875 Providence Highway in Dedham, MA around 545pm. I saw at least 8-10 customers inside the store so I knew it was still open, and the store was listed as open until 7pm. I then saw a couple walk up to the door, but were unable to go in. They knocked, and I then rolled down my window to hear the conversation. A woman came out and explained that the store was closed, but the drive-thru was still open. I found this odd, but that's when things really got strange. That couple then got in their car and drove towards the drive-thru entrance, but didn't end up going into the drive-thru. I figured they just changed their minds, until I drove over to the drive-thru entrance and saw it was blocked with cones. At that point, I drove back and parked my car and went up to the door. Locked. So I knocked. After maybe a minute, that same woman, an employee named Vicky, cracked open the door and informed me they were closed. I said the store doesn't close until 7pm, and the drive-thru which she had told the previous customers was still open is blocked with traffic cones. She then proceeds to tell me "it's been a really tough day and we're short-staffed so we're closing early." I looked behind the counter and saw 3 other employees milling around. I said, "you've got 4 people here minimum, how are you short-staffed?" She then says, "Yes, we have 4 people and it's not enough." I then saw another 3 customers approach the door and be turned away. In a difficult situation, I could understand closing either the store or the drive-thru and keeping the other open, but to close both options at 545pm when you've got a minimum of 4 employees in the store and multiple customers still inside is beyond ridiculous. As a customer, this was an incredibly annoying and bewildering experience. As a sizable investor in Starbucks stock, this experience was absolutely infuriating. These employees are being paid by Starbucks to serve customers until 7pm (and likely another hour beyond that to clean up the store), yet they didn't bring in any revenue between 545pm-7pm and the "closure" likely started even earlier than 545pm. Customers are literally trying to give you their money and these employees are turning them away for no reason. Experiences like this are how businesses like Starbucks lose customers for life. read more

As bad of Starbucks as I've ever been to & I've been going since 2004. The mobile order system is always turned off & they often close earlier than the app or website say, without notice. They also cannot handle a rush and I've seen them pour out so many of my shots of espresso from my iced coffees b/c they overpour. Shots cost extra, per each. Baristas are better at the Target Starbucks nearby. Will not go back here until Starbucks fixes this place. They're making the name look bad. read more

This is a nice, friendly Starbucks with terrific, hardworking employees. I recently had an experience here that deserves a special shout-out. A couple of weeks ago I lost my MS Surface mouse (an $80 item). I reluctantly bought another. A few days ago I was in the store once again, enjoying my Misto and using my Surface when a young woman, Ella, approached me. She was holding my lost mouse! Someone had turned it in and it had been sitting behind the counter for a couple of weeks. She said she saw me using a similar mouse and figured that maybe it was mine. Starbucks just opened along Providence Highway in Dedham, near Legacy Place to be the fourth drive thru restaurant in Dedham. Even though I normally give a sample of what places offer in my reviews (most of the time), I feel no need to do this for Starbucks. Even though they aren't as prominent as Dunkin Donuts, there is about one in every town throughout the greater Boston area, and one in almost every Target store. So I'm pretty sure everyone know's what Starbucks is and the phenomenon with their drinks, pastries and sandwiches. I believe this location was opened to calm down the one at the Dedham Mall that always had a line at the drive. Always great service there (no lie), but they were always jam packed! Currently, this place doesn't even look open from the outside (whoever decided to block the windows is nuts.... this place looks closed!), and unless you see the small little banner on the right side of the building you wouldn't think twice about them being open yet. Haven't been inside, but they did a good job with the layout of the parking lot. Even though this plaza looks small in general, there is plenty of parking in the back and the drive thru is extensive to accommodate long queue times. The location is very convenient, right across from the entrance to Legacy Boulevard. Staff were friendly and even though my order took a little longer than normal, it was accurate and not timely enough to cost them one star (plus they have to have time to get set up and get all the "kinks" worked out). All in all, this is a very good Starbucks that I will go to somewhat frequently since it is near my house. Decent enough. 4 stars. read more

I was in the drive thru for a good 15-20 mins and there really weren't that many people on the line. I was getting annoyed but figured maybe the people in front of me just had big orders or something. I finally pull up to the window and there are at least 4 people working there just standing around not doing anything. I was then asked twice what my order was... so I told them and watched them rush to make it. I ordered an iced latte with soy milk. When I finally got it, I tasted it and it was one of the worst lattes I've ever tasted. Starbuck's does seem to get the concept that people want their morning to go quickly and smoothly. The baristas do know the menu...all the drinks and foods...quite well and can explain the differences (and are not angry abt hvng to do it either) and very importantly do have good command of the English language. It is not a struggle to communicate back and forth. Dunkin's in pretty much all the nearby locations makes it way too difficult at the counter in this respect... so I simply go to Starbuck's pretty much all the time unless I have a Dunkin's gift card... even if it's more expensive. Good system whatever their logistics are....I am surprised how fast the drive-thru moves even when there are several cars in front of me. That is usually the kiss of death at say a fast food place and I just split. read more

They open at 10:30am on Sundays. Ridiculous. Panera is open, Dunkin' Donuts is open. People want coffee before 10:30am on Sundays.

This Starbucks just opened on Route 1 south in Dedham across from the entrance to the Legacy Place entrance. It is located in a new shopping development. This is the only Starbucks located in the south direction on Route 1 in the area. This is a better option to stop than the Starbucks in the Dedham Mall. There is a drive-thru which makes it easy to order and get back on the road. The location alone on this side of the road earns this place a 4 star. Every time I ordered from here, my order has been correct. There is also a parking lot in the development to park. read more

I've been here half a dozen times and every single time I come to the counter, I've been met with "I'll be right with you". 2 stars for the fact that I was acknowledged, but every single time, they went and did... nothing - moving a couple things around, wiping a non-dirty surface, or just walking back and forth once or twice before they came back to say "can I help you?". I only get a cup of coffee, so they've never messed up my order, but It's a long, open counter area, so I can see them. They weren't helping other counter customers, dealing with the drive-through, restocking, or anything like that. It's not any one employee or any specific time of day, and it's never been busy when I was there. As others have said, they don't seem to be trained on how to just get a cup of coffee. I go to this location 3-5X/week. The service on the inside of the store is incredibly slow. 5 - 10 minutes just for an iced coffee. (Not espresso based either!) You're much better off using their drive/through as that's apparently where they more heavily weigh their staffing and the service is quicker even with a line of cars in front of you. Also, if you don't want sugar in your coffee, you better say so. Seems that sweetened is now their default. read more

Wish I could rate this location with no stars. Can we say the slowest Starbucks ever???? Went there once and it was a little slow but I figured it was because they newly opened. My second visit I ordered a breakfast sandwich and drink. Waited 20 min and the bacon in my sandwich was completely raw to the point it was still cold!!!! Reported this to corporate. I guess I was glutton for punishment and decided to give them one last shot this morning. Waited 25 minutes for a shaken iced tea lemonade and this was going inside with no one else in front of me, only drive thru customers. The cashier argued with me about my request of how I would like my tea made. They really, really need to get their act together. read more
