I am a huge Starbucks supporter and live near by this particular location. Each time I go however, the wait is 20 minutes plus. Earlier this week I walked in with my kids to get food and drinks before my sons hair appointment in the same plaza and when I inquired about the extended wait time a very tall young girl with short blond hair began mocking me repeatedly with snidely said comments until we had finished our food and left the store. I went into this Starbucks instead of going to the drive thru because I wanted to pick up a few gift-cards. NEVER AGAIN. So slow. The guy at the register was stuck with a customer who was asking a ton questions and chatting his ear off for literally 10+ minutes. Not the fault of the guy on the cash register, he was doing his job by answering her questions and staying patient. Props to him. The reason for the low score here is because I was the only other customer in there, and it would have been nice if one of the other employees standing there could have rung me up on the 2nd register or even asked me what I was going to be ordering so they could start working on my drink. There were literally 4 other employees that could have helped out. I was so irritated that by the time it was finally my turn, I just paid for the gift cards and left without ordering a drink. I feel bad leaving a harsh review, but I used to work in a similar job setting and have many years of customer service under my belt and there's no reason for making a customer wait that long simply because the customer ahead of them cannot make a decision. read more

This Starbucks is closest to my work so in the morning I would go through the drive-through thinking that I would save some time. In the past two months this Starbucks have made my drink incorrectly over a handful of times. This is the last time I will be going to this Starbucks since they always give me the wrong drink and I don't have time to turn around and go through the drive-through all over again for another drink. read more

By far, the BEST Starbucks I have ever been to! The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and genuinely such a vibe! The drink I got- Caramel Ribbon Crunch, was the best I have ever had! It tasted really great and you could tell they put effort into the drink. If I ever come back to California, I'll be sure to revisit! read more

Starbucks interiors are not appealing to me in general, but here the architect was exceptionally off the mark: with windows oriented towards the North, and thus the general lack of sunlight, painting the walls dark grey, hanging the sad-looking pictures on the walls, positioning all tables along the walls work together to make the place uniquely uninviting. The patio is better, but looks a tiny bit dilapidated - and filled with more dark furniture. There is also very little pedestrian traffic, so from the patio you have an unobstructed view of a the large parking lot. The service was pretty good, the coffee standard - but someone need to take an architect that had designed this place by hand, walk him/her to the opposite side of the plaza (to Le Bambou), and show what can potentially be done with a view of the same parking lot. Until then, use the place for takeout. read more

This is by far the worst Starbucks in the world when it comes to a drive through. They are impressively bad at getting cars through the drive through in a timing manner. Every time I come here I think maybe this will be the time it doesn't take me 20 min to get one coffee...but I'm always wrong. The only reason I'm giving them 2 stars is because the people that work her are very nice they just are terrible at moving cars in any sort of efficient way. read more

Just super in love with the idea of a drive through coffee shop! I mean, being an on the go business woman, I'm always in need of an extra boost when out traveling about, from a styling appointment to a motivational talk, or a show across the whole field out in our very own "concrete jungle" (NY) so when this little nugget opened up right here in the neighborhood, Owwww!! I was doing my happy dance! ;) The late night staff is still just as genuinely helpful and cheerful 3 minutes before closing as they are bright and early in the day. And for that, I give 5 stars. Yes Govená, 5 stars. Regardless of the time, these guys and gals are always on point. So you should definitely drive on through (literally) and you will get a cool cup of tea or brew with an even cooler smile. :D Oh and ps, our order was also right on point. Starbucks - So sweet!!! - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Del Mar, California

I'm a diehard Starbies fan and I have to say that this new store is unimpressive in the ways that are important to me. I go to Starbucks for a few things: Consistency Friendliness Efficient grabbing of a drink Occasionally a spot to chill out This store pretty much fails on most of the above. The times I've been inside the folks are not attentive, and almost seem to not care that customers are standing there. They have zero sense of urgency. They don't get the drinks correct. And they don't "shake" the shaken drinks. (gross when your shaken iced tea is syrup on bottom, tea on top) Seem annoyed when you let them know the drink is wrong. (it's not the handwriting because they type in and put a ticket on every drink) The only reason I go to this store is for the drive thru. Other than that, I'm sort of underwhelmed. I'm certainly not underwhelmed enough to stop going to Starbucks. I might just limit this store to caffeine emergencies. read more

Never have i ever ... been on a Starbucks this slow in my life. Drinks seem to take 15 minutes per car, barisya was short and dry on responses. I always get a "sleeve" for my iced drinks to avoid waster from condensation, I didn't even had a chance since they gave me the drink and walked away from the window. read more

There was 2 cars in front of me and we were there for like 30 minutes. Then I understood why, the girls working were just talking and talking plus they got my order wrong. It's amazing after five requests to place a sleeve On a hot vente cup of hot water. This store refuses to place a sleeve on a cup of water, "Becky" just gives me a stare and toxic look when I request a sleeve. Listen Starbucks, the hot water temperature is 185 degrees. If you continue to refuse providing sleeves on hot beverages, eventually your setting your self up for a law suit. We're in an age of hyper sensitivity, asking for a sleeve offends the folks that work at this Starbucks location. Today, I very nicely educated Becky...that I'm asking for a sleeve merely to not burn my hands, because My hands are very sensitive to 185 degree Fahrenheit water. H This store refuses to comply with Starbucks Standard Operating Procedure, the company has limited safety supervision now at the store level and its only getting worse because this store refuses to comply with the Sleeve policy. ----- Second issue: the cashier taking the order, asked what size cup I wanted, I said it doesn't matter, "what size cup", if you don't have that figured out by now your truly need to go back to kindergarten... the cashier was hypersensitive when I said "it doesn't matter, you figure it out" and she got offended and called a manager over.. so pathetic that this staff is so entitled to provide substandard service, and be rude to their customers. Good luck, no managerial oversight will get you sued or you will lose company market share. read more

Starbucks is my go to every day (honey oat milk latte), and I usually have positive experiences with this location, but today I had an especially positive experience. Matt in the drive-thru made my entire day, I left in such a happy and elated mood. His compliments towards me made me feel like such a valued customer and it just solidified why I wait in line for this Starbucks! Every time I come here they always have the goods. Or try to make it right. It's hard to get strong cold brew. I'm not sure why..? But this Starbucks always try's for me. An employee was using a broom behind the counter. She refilled my tea without washing her hands. Then she resumed sweeping. That was not sanitary! I tossed the tea. 3:10pm, 9/2/17 I talked with a supervisor, and he talked to the employee. He told me it wouldn't happen again, but he didn't replace my drink. Drive through line was one the slowest I've ever encountered at any Starbucks. My little cousin wanted to try one of those "secret menu" frappuccinos where you have to tell the barista how many pumps of whatever syrup, etc. to achieve a desired flavor. I don't think the individual who took our order has quite figured out how to work the drive through microphone just yet because we heard the rude, sarcastic comment he made about our order after taking it. I've worked in retail so I understand the mentality of making fun of customers and building camaraderie with your co-workers, but I think that's best done in the break room or at least with the microphone still not on. Add insult to injury, both the "secret menu" frappuccino and the regular, off the menu frappuccino that we ordered were horrendous. Both extremely watery and void of any flavor whatsoever. So we basically sat in a ten minute drive through line to be mocked and then served watered down beverages. Lastly, I also asked for just a lemonade with no tea, lightly sweetened for my little one. My order was read back to me correctly; however, they messed that one up by giving us an unsweetened green tea lemonade. That one was drinkable but I'm not a fan of giving my two year old tea. If it wasn't so close to my kid's nap time, I would've just parked the car and gone in to complain. I've settled for just avoiding this location for awhile. read more

Came in to this location today and ordered a drink/food with my friend who also ordered a drink. They got her order wrong and took forever with mine. Meanwhile the whole staff was screaming and acting so unprofessional I was shocked. I am not a judgmental person but I also believe that employees shouldn't be screaming "I like girls but I don't like you right now". Amazingly, I was the first in line, and all of a sudden a rush of 10 people came through the door and stood behind me. Wow, I just got lucky. BUT, I sat and watched as person after person got their drink before I did. Could have been 12+ and this location wasn't that busy!! I sat there for 20 minutes waiting, the sticker on my drink was time stamped at 07:11AM when i purchased the drink and I walked out the door at 07:31AM!! First of all I have never been to any Starbucks location that has charged me individually for getting whipped cream also getting on the Carmel on the whip cream and also getting caramel drizzle in the cup and furthermore I know California is in a drought for water but I didn't realize that there was a shortage of caramel as well I am very dissatisfied with their lack of service and awareness maybe it is just me and the area I was in but every other Starbucks in southern San Diego has given me at the very least too much caramel which i think is cool but this place is cheap on the material they use and charges you for everything including the paper around the straw lol rediculous and to top that everyone seems like their heads in the the lady behind the counter didn't even know what I meant by non-dairy soy milk read more

This is the worst Starbucks I've been to. This is the second time I've had a bad experience and it's the second time I've been to this place. 2 for 2 horrible. Service was bad the first time - guy came on the speaker and said he'd be right with us - waited for about 7 mins then we got a hold of someone. It's like they forgot there were customers in the drive thru. Pretty sure they made my decaf drink regular because I was wired and so was my baby because he's getting breastmilk...thanks a lot guys. Second time the cashier was nice and service was quick but the one drink I ordered was completely wrong - ordered a peppermint mocha and seems like they made a latte. I tried to drink it but I couldn't - it was that bad...just a really funky tasting drink that's sadly going in the trash. If you're the baristas or managers at this place and read this - please step up your game and double check your orders (or get/give some training on how to make a proper drink). Don't like telling people how to do their job but I've never had issues like this at other Starbucks locations. Seems like there's just a bunch of kids working there that don't really care. Upper management needs to step in and do some QC. I'll be going to other locations even tho it's less convenient, which is really disappointing. read more

I just love this drive through. I've had 2 experiences, both different people who really went above and beyond. They asked me if I was having a good day. I said tearfully that I was not. And he was just so kind and expressing that he hoped my day would get better. Nice people go along way - he seemed so sincere it was as good as a hug. And another time they made a mistake with a drink for my daughter and they offered it to me - free! That made my day too! Super dooper nice caring people here. I don't care if the line is long. During Covid and all the yucky around us, I'll wait for NICE caring compassionate people - I wish I had their names. Thank you dear ones!! read more

I've been waiting for this Drive thru to open for weeks!!! Having this starbucks drive thru near home has truly been a god send. As a mom with two little kids walking into a starbucks with a line out the door isn't always easy. I now wake up Saturday mornings and literally hop in my car in my pajamas and slippers and get my coffee!! It's the best thing ever! Service is very friendly and quick. Love this new location for Starbucks. Nice outdoor seating in a shopping center that is not usually overly crowded. Inside is nice and open too with good seating. Have not tried the drive thru yet but happy to have that option on the way to work! The whole upgrade in this shopping center seems nice. Looking forward to some other new restaurants hopefully! read more
