It seems every time I visit family in Diamond Bar and get my morning coffee something is off. The staff is super friendly but on this week's trip there was no dark roast! Not the usual "we need to brew a new pot" but they had no dark roast at all! Crazy a coffee house with no coffee. One final note: I try to avoid Starbucks for drip coffee because it's never hot. Worse service! Last time I need to wait for 30 minutes to purchase the travel box coffee at this store even though not much customers there in that morning! So this time I ordered the same kind of coffee yesterday and mentioned that I will pickup at 8:00 this morning! Eh it's starbucks. I personally don't like the quality of their coffees. I just get it out of convenience since it's like a 2 min drive from my house. If you want good coffee, go to a diff coffee shop. If not, I would get their special/seasonal drinks, fraps, or teas which would allow you to cover the taste of the coffee or just avoid it haha. The baristas here are really chill though. I have a pretty severe milk allergy and they always go out of their way to make sure everything is cleaned and free of milk before they make my almond milk lattes. I've been to many other locations and some are really sloppy and use the dairy tin cup for my almond milk instead of the non dairy one. I also like how this location has a drive thru since from around 3-6pm on the weekdays, this place gets packed with high schoolers! Long wait and consistent wrong orders... I use this Starbucks quite often but for some reason there is always something wrong with my order at this location. Example: this morning i order a grande pike roast with heavy cream and Splenda , i pick and there is no heavy cream just straight black coffee. I go back to to re order and I'm told we are low on heavy cream can you please use 1/2 and 1/2?? The rating is purely based on customer service and rude attitude towards customer. I placed a mobile order. Walked in 10 minutes later to mobile pick up area and didn't see my drink. They seem busy but I asked politely to see if they have my order. Lady responded saying not ready. I stepped outside and returned another 5-7 minutes later, I didn't see a drink with my name. There was another customer at the pickup area touching or holding a drink so I assumed that drink was the other customer's. I asked again for a status... another staff said he will make it for me. Which he was nice about. Then this lady who originally told me my drink wasn't ready, said your drink is right here. I said I didn't know because the other customer was right there and touching/holding the drink. Out of safety, I just asked If they could make me another drink. The other guy said, I am making it already... which he responded normally and courteously. Then this lady said, that is what happened when you place mobile orders... people touch other people's drinks. Then she rudely asked me .. can you take that drink and toss it.. we cannot take it back after you touch it. In my mind, so it is ok for your customer to take the drink that someone else held onto but you don't want to touch it after I did. The last thing that pushed me over the edge to write this review is that she asked me very rudely to step aside from the mobile area so other customer can grab there drink (there were no other customer at the time... one came in and grab it easily and left). I knew that the lady was just being plain rude. I hope she is just having a bad day but to single one customer out like that and the way she spoke to me was just unacceptable. This Starbucks is located in the Plaza with AAA, H-Mart, Rite Aid, Chase, and etc, near the 57 freeway. This Plaza has undergone the most change in Diamond Bar, though of course, the Sprouts plaza now beats this plaza in change and renovations. Lest I digress... This location has a drive-thru, for those who prefer drive-thrus but I tend to either order at the counter or through the mobile app. Over the years, they have always gotten my drinks right and with any Starbucks, if they don't, just let the baristas know. They have friendly employees and great customer service. Parking is always accessible and very convenient. With any Starbucks, they have seats inside and outside. read more

I came here in an attempt to prevent food coma with caffeine after a feast and ordered 4 drinks for 4 people. Three drinks came out without a hitch, but the last one (a black tea) took a long time. Turns out it was a busy day and they somehow forgot the tea between the drive through orders and ours. Was having issue with my app it wasn't And giving me my 50% off on my Refreshment. Due to the promotion that they were advertising every Tuesday of the month of July 50% off. hello hello! i never really do reviews, but my experience at this starbucks was AMAZING. i believe it was Esther who was handling the drive-through. i was greeted with the sweetest voice, and she even gave me a great recommendation when i asked which warm sandwich she liked. i got the tomato mozzarella on sourdough (warmed). it was AMAZING, i finished it on my drive back home. when i went to the drive through, i did wait a bit bc it got super busy for them. but i didn't mind it! This has to be one of the worst Starbucks I've been to. Whoever have been training the staff here needs to get retrained. I walked in and all the baristas are working on restocking and grabbing the drive thru orders. I understand that you have to do what you gotta do, which is fine. But without a line or other customers to deal with, I'm not sure why I got ignored for a good few minutes. There were a total of five staff in (at least) and not one of them said anything or came by to take my order. I honestly hate this Starbucks. I've been wanting to write a review for so long but haven't got around to it. Every time I come here I end up disappointed. Reasons why I hate this location. The customer service is the worse compared to all the other Starbucks I have been too. I feel like the employees here are very clicky and is always talking to each other ignoring the fact that there are customers at the register sometimes. They just stare at you and no one tries to help right away. Unacceptable. They make their drinks really really gross. I always want to exchange my drink after coming to this location but often don't because I am in a rush. But if I did have time I would exchange it or ask them for a refund so I can go to a different Starbucks. I got a hot coco which tasted like very bland milk with a hint of chocolate. I don't like chocolate nor do I like sweet drinks, but the way they made it tasted like I was just drinking watered down chocolate milk. So gross. Also, very berry hibiscus was SOOO sweet when I got it today. It tasted like they put 30 pumps of syrup in it. If I finished the drink I would probably have been diagnosed with diabetes by the end of the day. The last time I came in here for a refill on my green tea the Asian guy gave me half a refill. Like Wtheck. It was literally half!! Who does that? How about I pay for half my drink instead next time. To make matters worse, there was also something black in the drink when he gave it to me and I asked him what it was. You know what his response was? "Idk." Like really? My go-to study spot. A decent amount of place to sit and access to outlets if you don't mind shamelessly stringing your charger on the ground to the nearest outlet. I personally do it all the time. Overall better than the one on Grand and Diamond Bar Blvd, but a little less space then the one on Grand and Valley. That one has too many students from the school and college nearby though. Came through and saw some new goodies: tiramisu and rocky road cake pops and red velvet cake whoopie pies. $1.50 for 1 or $2.50 for 2. If you are looking for a great place to study this would NOT study here. Nor would it be an ideal place for a date. The music is so loud. Even with ear plugs and my Beats by Dre headphones I can still hear the music pulsating which is so distracting when I am trying to study. For a date, you would have to be yelling during your conversation. The coffee is mediocre. Whenever I ask for specific directions (milk,sugar, etc) they never seem to get it right.
