I absolutely never right reviews because I think everyone can have a difference of opinion as to what is good but Today I went to Starbucks and it was empty with 4 employees and there friend hanging out next to the resister at 2pm, I ordered 4 drinks of which two were done wrong. I didn't mind one but the other was a simple vanilla bean frap with extra caramel. They gave it to me with extra whip instead of extra caramel, when I told them to please fix it, they remade it with literally one drizzle of caramel. I asked them again and they began talking about me to each other while my mother and I were still there. Their friend was soo rude to me as well stating maybe I should make it myself. Then they gave me a drink with almost half a bottle of caramel on purpose. I asked for a refund and there friend which said she worked there too, said she would take the drink since I didn't want it. Then they said to me "if I think I could do it I should". That is when I said I worked at Starbucks almost 20 years ago and I would never be soo rude to a customer then or now. I said I understood everyone makes mistakes but to put a 1/2 a bottle of caramel in my drink because they didn't get it right was uncalled for. The other three employees were in the back talking soo poorly about me my mother recorded it. Store #6653. Maybe because i am Latina and not the typical white women that lives is Discovery Bay doesn't mean I should be treated any less than!!! I picked up my online order of an iced coffee, ham and Swiss, and petite vanilla scone. There was some foam on the rim of my lid, I wiped it off, I know they get busy in the mornings. I'm heading to work, eating my sandwich, and notice it's kinda soggy....And tastes kinda sweet?....There's a stain on the bag....That smells like pumpkin spice latte....So I guess someone spilled, and the staff cleaned up... Because the counter was clean, sparkling clean actually...But left my order with foam on it, and didn't remake my sandwich that apparently was sitting in a puddle of it...Yea. read more

Personally I don't drink coffee that much but when I do I come here, and I can tell you I've never had a bad experience. All the staff there are extremely generous and nice. They really just want the best for their customers and that's what they exceed in. If you're looking for a quick coffee a nice atmosphere and nice customer service this is the place for sure. read more

This location has lots of issues with inventory management. Other nearby locations don't seem to have the same issues, so we can't blame it on the system, it must be mediocre management. The mobile app shows them out of all items first thing in the morning, including basic coffee. Walk in and there is plenty of coffee, but also a long line. The whole point of the mobile app is to order ahead and be able to grab and go. Not the case in this store. Mobile app is not a proven advantage at this store, where they can't keep their inventory up to date in the application read more

When I think of this Starbucks there is a 3 letter word that comes to my mind... WOW.... and I don't mean WOW in a good way... it's more of a WOW how can every Starbucks in the entire world have it figured except this one. I've lived in Discovery Bay for 5 years and every time I go to this Starbucks I say it's my last time. The HOT drinks are COLD and the COLD drinks are LUKE WARM. Very comfortable location on the smaller side but nice and quiet in comparison to other Starbucks

When you're in the farthest reaches of the East Bay and you gotta pee, it's either a bush or a Starbucks. I wasn't chancing the bush so I decided to get an Iced Passion Tea to go. I was the only one in line and decided that was my chance to use the bathroom. May I say one of the best decisions I've made. The cleanest Starbucks bathroom I've ever encountered. The Barista made a large sweetened black tea accidentally. She just gave it to another customer and made me a new one. The other customer was a regular I presume, because she called him out by name and knew he could give it to someone else he worked with. I was very happy this location is here. I've been working out here the past few weeks so its been a regular stop for me, a nice stop. read more

This location constantly closes earlier than the stated hours; thus, you may drive here for nothing. They appear to mostly serve the morning commuters that drive along Hwy 4. As a result, they run out of brownies super early. I often pass this Starbucks up to avoid the aggravation of their early-close hours and head over to the Starbucks on Sand Creek that offers late hours all week and never runs out of product. read more

Waited for 25mins for drinks multiple customers who came in after me left before me. When I asked for my money back was told they couldn't do that and could only give me a Starbucks card I proceeded to wait another 15mims for my drinks now that no other customers are in the store. I asked to speak to a manager and was told by a younger blonde supervisor that there was no manager there and proceeded to hide in the back until my drinks were finished. Very unprofessional definitely needs more training for supervisors on how to do a simple refund. read more

I've noticed the last few times I have tried to go to this location that they don't have clear times when they are closing and then when I do find out what time they close, they are already closed before the designated time. The other day I pulled up before they were supposed to be closed and 5 employees all walked out together with all their drinks and closed the store. I know covid is making things hard but to me it seems like the leeway is being taken advantage of? I don't know. Just my opinion. read more

Very disappointed in this Starbucks. Spent 30 minutes trying to get my coffee drink this morning... terrible customer service. First, the barista making coffee wouldn't acknowledge me despite my request to please add creme to my mobile order, finally after 20 minutes standing in front of her, she eventually told me she had no mobile order from me. No apology, nothing. I decided to go to Safeway to grab something and reorder my coffee. My thinking was how could they mess up again? Went back to grab my mobile order 15 minutes later and no coffee! Big surprise, no record of the mobile order, despite the receipt on my phone. They finally made my coffee with no apology, no warmth, zero smiles, and lots of customers left either standing or shaking their heads with frustration. (I did mention to one of the staff that I waited 30 minutes for this coffee and she just shook her head, like oh well, it's out of my hand's..) Employees, If you don't want to be somewhere, don't come. Starbucks, your customer service is deplorable. Your wait time is dismal and your staff is mismanaged. I should probably thank you for saving me hundreds of dollars in coffee expenses since I won't be coming back here after today's experience. The two stars is for the old staff who used to be so warm, wonderful and caring. Buy yourself a Breville Expresso machine and save yourself the frustration and the COVID risk until they change staff and get a better business model. Came in for a coffee and quick bite to eat during the evening. Place was dead. There wasn't a line and no one was waiting for an order. I stood at the front counter for probably 4-5 minutes waiting to place an order while a young girl in a red and white varsity sweater was cleaning or stocking behind the counter. She knew I was waiting. Made no acknowledgement, I'll be right with you, etc. Another girl came out and was behind the display case, she made eye contact with me and again no acknowledgement, I'll be right with you, etc. I walked to the bathroom and came back and waited maybe another minute or two. I just watched and heard one of the employees cuss at a customer. A customer forgot what he ordered and laughed out loud about it and the girl behind the counter said " real F-ing funny " she had no reason to act like that. I have yet to have a good experience in this store. I only go there if I am in a hurry. I have gotten my coffee from McDonald's just to avoid the horrible service. I am so disappointed in the service and quality I received this morning. I ordered a venti java chip frap and grande caramel frap w/ an extra shot. While I waited for my drinks, I watched the girl making mine spill half of it on the counter. As she started to make more, her coworker grabbed the cup & said watch this, then loaded it up with whipped cream to make the cup appear full. Then they proceeded to laugh about it. Then to top it off the frap was way too icy because of the liquid that fell out (which was probably the extra shot of espresso that I paid for) & the java chip frap was extremely watery. read more

Not a fan of the staff. They seemed upset to even have to help anyone. I didn't get a greeting, a thank you or a your welcome after I thanked them for my drink. Sadly, they had no manners so speak of. I'm considered a millennial, so it's not an age thing, but maybe I was just raised differently? With only one customer ahead of me, it took 10 minutes for my latte order to be filled. The impression I got from staff was that they didn't care how long I had to wait. The barista was too busy socializing with the cashier to start making the coffee, in between chatting with another employee about how sick he was. Knowing their clientele I would say is a key factor in the success of this Starbucks. Discovery Bay has a large commuter work force and thus in their understanding are able to move a whole lot of coffee in a small amount of time. During the rush of the am hours there can be a line out the door and you'll usually get to the counter/register in about 5 minutes and out in a couple more. Having been there so often since the place has opened it's doors I have only personally witnessed not so good service a couple of times but it was always at an odd business hour. I've only had one bad cup of coffee from there and that one was aweful. I didn't go back to complain because I'm one of those commuters and I was already down the road counting my minutes. It was a while before I went back. I can understand Libby's negativity about the place as you want the very best while out of town, possibly on vacation because it's part of your over all experience. Although, I've never been treated in a rude fashion at this Starbucks. I actually give this coffee house a 3 and 1/2 but a 4 on the speed of service. read more

What can you say about a Starbucks, they are all pretty much the same, for me anyways.. I guess the main factor in my reviewing any of them would be length of time waiting in line.. As a previous person mentioned the line is often out the door at this location.. Probably because it is the last one before 22 miles of nothingness between disco bay and Livermore.. .Anywho , I give this one 4 stars for sometimes long waits and the fact they do not have a drive through. read more

I ordered through the mobile app this morning. The app said prep time was 3-6 minutes. When I walked in there was a huge line at the register, I was so happy I ordered online. I stood there waiting for my drink watching everyone that was in the line at the register when I walked in get their drinks and leave. That's when I asked where my drink was. They said yours is next... then they proceeded to make 3 or so more drinks before mine. The place that was packed when I walked in was now empty. It took them almost 20 minutes after I walked in there to make and give me my drink. My mobile order was for nothing. Then when the girl made me my drink she said 'we get really busy on saturdays'. That's no explanation as to why I ordered before all the people in line and every single one of them got their orders before me. Not cool. read more

The drinks the make are the best in this area. Way better then any Brentwood Starbucks. The people who work there are ok. Kinda stuck up. The guys are great just some of the girls are not friendly. But that's what ever. They also always have a supply of food. I can go in there and know they will have food still where some Starbucks don't. So all in all its a great Starbucks. read more

This is the worst Starbucks I have ever been to. Usually the employees are very nice. However a few months ago they hired a new girl. She is rude and nasty to me. Talks about me behind the counter and expects me not to say anything about it. I have complained about her to corporate a couple times yet she continues behavior that would make any customer angry.
