My husband and I are regular customers of Starbucks all over the country. We have never been to a Starbucks that seems to be so poorly managed. It took over 10 minutes to get our drinks. During our stay we observed at least 6 customers waiting 10 minutes for their drinks. There were also four employees sitting and taking a break. We will give it another try if we are ever in route, but for now it's the most poorly run Starbucks we've ever been to. read more

Best Starbucks ever!!! This place has been a life-saver in the past but since they extended their drive thru hours to 24-7, I always have a back-up plan for my insane commute (placerville to SF). As the other reviews said they are super friendly and efficient but also kind. They are the only Starbucks I know of that still gives out dog treats when you have your pooch in the car. I stop in here most days I'm working and I've never had a bad experience. Crystal is a top hand behind the counter. Her and the other girls remember customers name and greet them cheerfully. They remember your drinks, unless you change it up. You have to be sure to give Jo Jo a hard time, she deserves it. read more

Studied here during finals week and Oohh man I was here for awhile haha I really like how big this location is and for the most part, you'll always find a table with an outlet throughout the day. It wasn't super noisy here and really is a great place to study or even grab a cup of coffee and chat with friends for a bit. I got a vanilla iced coffee and wish they added more creamer, but that drink lasted me awhile so coffee is strong haha My friend, however, ask for a iced caramel macchiato, but was given a hot one instead so maybe service needs a bit more improvement (but don't get me wrong, the workers were super nice and even had small talk with me, which I enjoyed). This Starbucks itself is the perfect place to study (wifi is stable and fast!) so I will be going back as the school year progresses!! read more

What a gigantic Starbucks!! Biggest I've eve been to. Fast late night service, clean bathrooms, ample seating!!!

It's conveniently right off of I-80 so there's usually a lot of people coming in, but somehow the wait for my drink is always short. However, I can't really speak for the drive-thru since I've only used it maybe once or twice. Anyways, this is my favorite Starbucks location in my area for a variety of reasons. Their customer service is exceptional. The people working are always friendly and willing to answer questions especially when I want to try something different from one of my usuals. The hours are great! I love that they are open until 11pm everyday. Another reason I frequent and like this location is because of the seating. Since they renovated a month or so ago the store has added more seating and outlets. Also, I'd have to agree with the reviewer below who said their music can be loud at times, but honestly I don't mind. read more

What happened?! This used to be my favorite location! Totally unfriendly! And twice this year they forgot to put the actual expresso in my drink! Guy even argued that my drink was In fact non fat and sugar free when It absolutely wasn't ! ( I have diabetes and order the same drink all the time) . This is one of my pit-stop Starbucks that I go to when I travel from SF to Sacramento. It's right off 80 and the perfect time to get out, stretch my legs and get some caffeine in my system. The people here are really friendly and cheery. Yesterday the barista just said my name because he wanted to say hi before my drink was ready. I'm glad that they make a point to know their customers unlike other starbucks where you are just another customer, another drink. read more

Very large location with lots of room to sit and do whatever it is that you come to do at Starbucks. The reason I really like this one more than the other ones is that every single barista/person at the register takes the time to REALLY spell my name right. And because of that I can forget about the one rude one who accused me of making a cheap version of a different drink when I customized my iced coffee. Can get busy because it's right off the freeway but the drive-thru helps divert some of the crowd. Definitely is one of my favorite ones to come to. read more

I just went through the drive thru and while the young lady who took my order was very cheerful and nice, whoever made my drink doesn't understand that when I order and pay for a venti, I would like a venti...not a grande in a venti cup. Unfortunately, I was on a conference call when I ordered and didn't get a chance to check my drink (but honestly I never do as I don't think I should have to check my drink to make sure it is actually filled up). When I parked at work in Sacramento, and lifted the drink (that I had yet to even take a sip of), I noticed it was really light. I opened the lid and was astonished to see that it was just over half full! So, what, I got half milk, half foam?! Luckily, when I took it to the Starbucks in the Sacramento Downtown Mall and showed them my drink, they immediately made me a new drink! They kept apologizing for my original drink - and I kept telling them it wasn't their fault, Dixon should be apologizing! I find it ridiculous that I had to go to another Starbucks to fix a drink - I expect better from Starbucks, but this Dixon location has proved otherwise. read more

I stop by this Starbucks if I'm in dire need of a coffee on my way to/from Sacramento. I love it when I find a drive-thru location. I've never had an experience here worth mentioning, but today was irritating for me. It may be the blonde girl that was working this evening (12/2/14), because another person also complained about their experience this same day. I drove up and and was ecstatic when I saw that there was no one in the drive-thru line. I placed my order and pulled up to the window. Then I just sat there. No one came to the window for a really long time. I was able to look through my FB and IG...and also look up my Starbucks account online while I was waiting. Then suddenly the blonde girl came to the window, gave me my drink, and I paid for it. Hmmm...usually I hear at least a courtesy apology even for a wait shorter than this. read more

I look forward to stopping at this Starbucks on my frequent drives from San Francisco to Auburn. Convenient location off the highway. The store is clean, the service efficient and friendly and the coffee is fresh. As of August this Starbucks hadn't yet switched over to La Boulange pastries. I've tried the new La Boulange pastries and they are AWFUL. Unfortunately, this location will eventually serve La Boulange and I will most likely look for another coffee house in the area. read more

I work right around the corner (maybe a 3 minute walk away). and I get a 15 minute break on my full days. Few days ago was craving coffee so I went to the drive through, there was 3 or 4 cars ahead of me, it took me almost 5-7 minutes to get to the speaker and another 5-7 to pay and get my drink. It's just crazy how slow they have become and how EXPENSIVE they are. I can go to Dutch Bro's all the way across town from work and still make it back with 3-4 minutes to spare on my break, and save a couple bucks. read more

Starbucks has some of my favorite chai! The breakfast sandwiches always bring me in they are so delicious! This location has a really big lobby so its great for if you want to meet with friends or classmates and hangout or study, or if you want to go on a cute coffee date! Theres a barista there named Lance who is very friendly and really knows the menu and he is great at picking out drinks, I usually tell him to surprise me with what drink I get and it never fails! Starbucks as a company trains their employees really well and this particular location exemplifies that training. I have never had an unpleasant experience at the Dixon Starbucks and I live very close and frequent it often. The "partners" are amazing and always so helpful--they are efficient and friendly. Maybe I come here too much but these guys are great! The staff is always really friendly and they make me feel at home. For the most part, they always get my drink right. My husband and I ordered a coffee from the drive through and I asked him if he could get me another shot expresso. When we got up to the window we asked the young man if we could get another shot, but my husband watched and nothing was done with my drink. My husband asked the young -man if he included it in my drink of course, he said yes? It taste sweet not like the extra shot was included, but he charged us for it. Very disappointed and will just make my own coffee because at -least I know I do not have to visit a dishonest employee. Sorry, Dixon does not have too much to chose from.
