Located inside persimmon place, next to The pizza joint, it may seem like another typical Starbucks, but there are some qualities that set this one apart from others. The staff here is always friendly, welcoming, and brightens my day just that much more when I visit. They always have amazing recommendations for drinks and food pairing, and some of the staff have memorized my name, and always let me try one of their creations. It's also nice to see so many black apron employees as well! FYI, black aprons mean they're coffee masters. They took it upon themselves to study coffee deeply, and have a passion for the product. Ordered matcha Frappuccino without sugar, I saw the barista put three pumps syrup to my drink. When my drink is ready, I asked if my drink is sugar free and the barista Saibre said "yes". Ordered a venti vanilla sweet cream cold brew in store off the mobile app. Drank it outside came back in 15 minutes later waited 10 minutes in line and asked for a refill and the guy told me they can't do it for cold brew. I was puzzled as I've paid 50 cents dozens of times at various locations to refill my cold brew. My gf asked multiple times if he's sure they can't refill cold brew and he said yes. We walked outside and I threw the cup away. My gf looked up the refill policy from their official website and it says "When you use your registered Starbucks Card or Mobile app to purchase a beverage and then present that same Starbucks Card or Mobile app, you can get free refills of brewed coffee (hot, Iced Coffee or Cold Brew), and tea (hot, or iced) during the same store visit regardless of the original beverage at participating Starbucks stores." We told the guy and he apologized and charged us 50 cents. We waited another 10 min and the fool gives us our refill grande size which was much smaller than our venti. So not only are refills free he gave us a much smaller size all while not knowing what the hell he was talking about read more

Came here before an interview ad I was close to an hour early. Quick and friendly staff. Bathroom was clean although the TP were not fully restocked and just had one roll on top of the dispenser. I'm impressed that every different barista I've encountered had here has been super friendly and chatty, and they are really on top of getting everyone their drinks quickly. Without delving into the irrelevant: parking; or the obvious: there are some times of the day that are busy and slow; this Starbucks is one of the more pleasant locations I've visited. I've ordered from here several times when I am in Dublin and my drink is always made-to-order. Is there better coffee out there? Absolutely. But I know what I am getting when I go to Starbucks so it would be pretty stupid to complain about that. Sadly they don't have Nitro, but many locations don't yet so I'm not knocking them for that. Other factors that I took into account in reviewing this location is that the space is large and has a nice vibe. The staff is friendly and pleasant (Matt is particularly pleasant). Every time I've been in this location it has been reasonably clean and they have a nice outdoor space to enjoy the warmer East Bay weather. So grab a caffeinated beverage and chill. read more

Pre paid for my coffee refill when i purchased breakfast. When i go to claim it, Anne (lady who was calling out ready orders) refused to refill my cup of black coffee w/ no add ons, told me to wait in line (14 people with one cashier), so I wasted 20 minutes in line, AGAIN. The whole reason i pre purchased a refill was to avoid the line. Anne needs to learn customer service, or take a shot of espresso. read more

Meh. Just your run of the mill Starbucks. It's a nice large space but doesn't feel like the hacienda one or the union city one. Spruce it up, make it feel more warm. They ran out of the s'mores frap which my mom really wanted. The guy helping with us didn't seem too excited to help us. He just seemed irritated. The staff is friendly, but slower than death. Shouldn't take 10 minutes to poor coffee over ice (no sweetener either). The back bar was making drinks properly and they were in good spirits, but everyone was just cleaning around bar 1 and not helping 2nd bar! This is a new Starbucks right by my work. It's 102 degrees that called for a chilled drink. The interior is pretty cool with the map showing how coffee beans made it from the mountains of South America, Africa and India to ur cup. I am not much of a coffee drinker. So I went for a Strawberry smoothie. I realize Starbucks may have a set recipe for coffee, but certainly not for their smoothies. It is at the mercy of the hourly employee what combination goes into the blender. I say that because I have tried the same smoothie in many Starbucks and it's always a hit or a miss. As you can tell the first one was a hit, so I keep going for it. But it's never the same! By far this one was the worst of all....a sour blended strawberries with hardly any flavor. This maybe my last time ordering this in any Starbucks. It's about time the billion dollar coffee maker invest some changes to come up with a good recipe for smoothies! read more

Beautiful and spacious location! Most of the employees are welcoming and friendly. Came in at 8am on a weekday and a female employee was mopping the entire lobby floor. I can understand the urgency to spot mop during peak times due a spill. But mopping the ENTIRE lobby with a long line of customers during peak business doesn't make much sense to me. Of course, I don't know the reason or scenario behind why she was mopping but from a customer perspective, it was uncomfortable maneuvering around the wet floor and the gal mopping. read more

Going to have to update my review of this location today! I went in and as usual it was packed not because they were slow but because it was Saturday. The main reason for the update is the associate COOPER with the red bow tie! Cooper gave great service, very friendly for an early Saturday morning and didn't give me any attitude when I got in line a second time. So happy I ran into him today it completely changed my outlook on this location, especially since I work right door. I definitely will be coming back as long as the service is this good! read more

I would love to give this Starbucks a 5 star because I get very good service in the morning. I'm not sure if he is the manager but his name is Gerardo, all I can say is "poor" people skills. I understand that closing is not glamorous. I would suggests to take a look at manner in how messages are delivered. There was nothing wrong in communicating protocol. I rarely take time out to write reviews (I'm a bad Yelp-er) but I felt the need to review this Starbucks. I come here semi-frequently to study or just to grab a drink before work or on the weekend. Every time I come I am impressed with the customer service I receive. All the employees have treated me with nothing but kindness. It's convenient. They're quick on the mobile orders. Unfortunately, they seem to overlook details on the mobile orders pretty regularly. Whipped Cream as an example.
