Sammie is amazing!! I got there around 6am and was a little indecisive on what to get (tea or coffee) I also told her I wasn't consuming any sugar and she made the perfect recommendation. A recommendation that I hadn't heard of. ( venti iced vanilla cream protein latte) all 0 sugar as well as 0 sugar cold foam. She was very nice and friendly but she didn't over do it which I love, as an ex starbucks employee sometimes the friendliness can seem fake but i didn't sense that at all. Staff is friendly and remembers their customers! Tried the Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino and it's really good! Tastes like fall in a cup with ice! They have a drive through and tables inside. I was going to make a purchase but had to use the restroom. The shift lead or shift manager kept insisting about a purchase to be made, repeated himself multiple times. I got the point. So I said yes used the restroom and went to a different starbucks. I understand customer use of restroom but they could've given the code and waited for my purchase. It was just off putting and id rather take my business elsewhere. This happened at 10 am 09Feb2025. Denying another human restroom access if not humane. This place literally has a bunch of idiots working for them. First off, the last few times, I've asked to add something as simple as mocha drizzle on my drink and they didn't add it, or they added caramel. Then, they mess up on the sizes and when I ask for sleeves or stoppers, they don't give them. And get annoyed when I ask for them again. They also have messed up on my mocha frapps by adding caramel on it and have the audacity to get mad at me when I don't want it. I hate caramel, and it's YOUR mistake. Just fix it and give me what I paid for. The last straw for me with this place was today. Apparently, they are only trained in verifying the newer $100 bills. They literally didn't want to accept my money because it was an older bill even though it passed the pen test and the sides of the bills and were rough and it had the serial in the light...like how stupid do you have to be to not be able to verify that? Seriously my 2 year old nephew who is learning this stuff can figure out a fake bill from a real bill. Like that is just seriously so sad. I went over to the one on Mollison and they were able to verify it no problem and zero mistakes on my order. This staff always hustles to fulfill the nonstop flow of orders in this busy shop, both inside and in the drive-through, and they all do so with smiles on their faces, a friendly greeting, and attention to detail. They are efficient without seeming to hurry you, take interest in you, make good suggestions, and endeavor to meet each request or need. And all of this on a consistent basis. Not a picky person for Starbucks, but this just wasn't one of the best visits. Service was great n all. What wasn't great is the drink i got was incorrectly made. There was supposed to be White Mocha; there wasn't. I addressed it with the Baristas on file and they said it was the mix of colors making it hidden; that was false. Only reason it's 3 stars is because I got a free drink because they accidentally made 2 of the same drink under the same order, and the service. Nothing else. That being said they are rushing and often leave off toppings ect. But today they really messed me up :( I always order tall- just right for me, but I love the pistachio latte so ordered and Grande. 1 with extra shot of expresso and one which less sugar/syrup. Well they gave me venti which wont and never have been able to finish. When I went in to get my drink remade, the baristas noticeably had an attitude and one girl in particular, with a slicked back pony tail, I think her name starts with a D ... she was speaking under her breath while making my drink as if I wasn't there or could hear her. She made me feel uncomfortable for getting my drink remade. She was not creating the 3rd place experience at all. At Starbucks, we always have to assume good intent and if someone says that their drink doesn't taste right, we should always try to make the moment right and put the customer at ease by remaking their drink. Normally this place is pretty spot on with everything, but in my last two visits in a row, they've gotten my drink wrong - one I didn't realize was wrong until I got to work in North Park. As I sit here now in the parking lot waiting for them to remake my drink because they didn't seem to understand "iced", I've seen four cars come and go through the drivethru. I wanted to treat my mom to Starbucks (she NEVER goes to Starbucks) and I was so disappointed and upset that it wasn't a better experience for my mom. I will say the girl that helped us was VERY helpful friendly and sweet. But other than my interaction with her I was very upset. I forgot to ask for no ice which is no biggie, that's my mistake. So when I got home I scooped the ice out myself of my drink as well as my moms. I was left with 1/4 of a beverage. My ENTIRE cup was filled with ice. With Starbucks prices being so high I expect to get a fair sized drink, and not have it made up entirely of ice. I feel totally ripped off and wonder if that's how it is every time I order Starbucks and just don't notice because I leave the ice in the cup. Even though I live a block away from a Starbucks, I go to this one all the time because: 1. There's a Drive-thru (great for me because, as I've mentioned 500 times, I've got two crazy babies with me at all times). 2. My husband went to get me a venti black coffee which is supposed to be 3.25 he also tipped a dollar. The lady never gave him his receipt and then proceeded to charge him another 4 more dollars. I found out how much my husband payed that he wasn't told while I was on our banking app paying bills 5 minutes after he paid. When he came home I showed him and his jaw dropped. So he had to go back and discuss with the manager. I don't know what is going on there but I am glad the manager was able to fix it. It still bugs me cause I have known places in the past who had employees scam off credit cards or bank cards a few dollars here and there. My parents had over 1000 dollars scammed off of them by a gas station over the course of a year along with a bunch of others on small little purchases. read more

The first time I've been there for awhile, they messed up my drink order. The thing is though, they totally made up for it! They remade my drink and let me keep the incorrect one, which went to my friend who is having a hard time (it brightened her day (: ). Okay, so today I ordered a soy cafe misto with White Mocha over Mobile order and, after 15 minutes, they couldn't find the sticker and asked what I got. After telling them, I got a... regular Cafe Misto. It was a free drink for me so I'm just not going to drink it (can't have dairy). It's on me for not having time to correct them, but those dang stickers backing up make it really hard for them to be productive and they were really stressed. I hope someone is making sure that those that are stressed swap tasks and that the shift leads are supporting effectively (stepping in on bar to help, putting stickers on cups). This Starbucks gets a 4 star review from me for a couple of reasons: 1. Great Amenities: I'm all about that drive thru. No need to even exit the vehicle! The line can be hit or miss though--Sometimes there isn't a single car ahead of me and other times I've had to wait as much as 15 mins. 2. Relatively fast service: compared to other drive thru Starbucks, this one is definitely much quicker with the service. Other notes: much easier parking lot situation than the other DT Starbucks on Broadway in ELC. I'm taking a star off because of the handful of times I've tried to order my usual in the drive thru and I was told they were out of stock.
