I almost didn't even feel like it was worth reviewing, since Starbucks is such a staple in most communities and is pretty much streamlined like McDonald's and everything else now. It has a drive-thru, it has a patio and an indoor seating section. Since all I got was a coffee there isn't much to get right or wrong as with the specialty drinks but I did appreciate the freshness. The store was clean on the inside and the drive-through seemed to be moving along at a consistent pace. I wouldn't mind going back to that location next time I'm in the area, though it wouldn't stand out from any other recently run Starbucks. read more

I had been coming here for years since it's close to my home. But I'm sorry to say that your customer service recently had really gone down , especially your night crew. Like tonight, I come in for a decaf pour over and this young gentlemen in the counter asked me what size. I said, " Grande." Then I asked if they have any decaf Keurig K cup, he turned around and started looking at the shelves. He seems lost ; that tells me he is new. Fine, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. So he did there's none after trying effortless to look for it. So I bought the breakfast blend. A few minutes later, I watched him as he brew a big pot of decaf. He saw me watching him and then he said ," We stopped brewing pour over so I'm making a batch". I said ," you could have said something ". He said " shift manager said so" Later, I get my coffee and as I sip into it, it's lukewarm !! I turned to the barista lady and she said, " I can heat it up". What's this ? 7/11 coffee. Then she gives me a tiny apology. Lady what you should have done is offer me a fresh drink!! You are too lazy that's why. You just wanted to go home and treat customer like they owe you your job. I try to avoid this location, however I was headed in that direction and it was the most convenient. 1/3 of the time, my drink order is wrong. This morning I ordered a slice of lemon pound cake and it was shoved in the bag, upside down on the icing, and in 3 pieces. My drink was not mixed, so it was a strange experience with each sip. I tried to pay for My coffee, one coffee for $5.05 with a $100 dollar bill, cashier gives me a "look" and says I don't think I can brake it, looks over to lady with headset and she tells me and I quote "I don't like to take anything larger than a $20" I honestly don't care what you like to take or not... There is no sign saying you can't pay with anything larger than a $20, and you did have enough to break it but chose not to. If you order anything slightly modified through the drive through (e.g. no milk, sub soy), be prepared to wait while the teens behind the counter make 3 or 4 attempts to fulfill your order. I usually order a trenta unsweetened coffee for me and a couple kids' chocolate soy milks (3 total) and every other time I'm given a single coffee with chocolate mixed in instead. This store reminds me of the Seattle stores, I remember. They are super friendly and make great drinks. They staff here is professional even through the leadership change , there was no hiccup. Sara at this location is the type of employee that employers kill for. Hardworking and very customer friendly. I had an issue at the Starbucks in Santee, Trolley location, and left there with 2 of my 3 drinks. OK so we all know Starbucks by now, and the quality of their coffee and espresso and tea. So that's a given, right? This Starbucks adheres to those qualities just fine, and in fact does it sensibly and fast enough because the people that work there aren't incompetent. The problem with this Starbucks, for me anyway, is that half of the "usual crowd" that goes there and hangs out are completely annoying. There's a guy who whistles like a tool, there's a guy who sits around yapping about stuff loudly, there's someone who spreads himself out at the large 6-person table...you get the idea. However they do know their product and are able to produce it with good quality. Just be prepared for the usuals if you're planning on sticking around for any amount of time. read more

Excellent customer service, nice location. But music is awful. Loud, mostly bad and hard to read or work with. I note the regulars all had noise canceling headphones on. Not all Starbucks are created equally. First and last time here. I got a PSL, decaffeinated...drive off to Santee and drank it and it was not good. I've had enough PSL to know when it's off. Today was my birthday and I was really excited to go to Starbucks. Due to the quarantine I was excited to get out and get my free drink because it was my birthday. As soon as we got there there was a huge line to the street. Once we made it to the speaker I explained that we were there for our mobile order. We made it to the window and typically the barista is super friendly. However today the barista accused me of taking forever to get my drink. He stated that did you know it was an hour before you got here? I really didn't expect this from this location. His tone felt very sarcastic and not thoughtful. Instead of making it a good experience I felt guilty for holding the line and really didn't want my drink after that. I didn't intentionally want to make them do double the work. I know it was busy but I felt like it could have been handled better. I have gone to Starbucks before on my birthday and they always say Happy Birthday and put such a positive spin. I will leave a 4 star because I have gotten friendlier service from staff in the early AM. read more

I love a good cup of coffee. I'm not a coffee snob and I don't do the stupid secret menu thing. I'll either order a cafe misto or regular coffee. If I have a gift card I'll order a basic Frappuccino. However, I do like what I order to be of good quality. I ordered a tall coffee tonight with half and half in the drive thru. The barista was pleasant. I didn't try my coffee until after reaching the light to get on the 67. By then it was too late to turn around. My coffee was lukewarm. Went through the drive-thru at 10:20am, was a little hesitant from the poor star reviews. The girl who assisted me was amazing, answered my questions on cold brew, as i was grabbing a drink for my boss and unsure whats good. Also, asked for extra caramel drizzle and there was plenty in my venti iced caramel latte, satisfied! My breakfast sandwich was served warm and delicious. He said sorry, I was making two at one time and just was too busy to think about it. I should've kept the wrong drink as it would've been better made than the mess they gave me. I used to be a regular customer at the Magnolia & Rockville store 5 min away but I quit there due to their employer's attitude and slow speed of service. For the past weeks, I've switched here and received much better experience at this store. The store has always busy with a long drive thru line. However, all staffs I encountered always had sense of urgency and assured me that my mobile order was being made. Or else they asked for my name and tried to make my drink as soon as they could. I greatly appreciated this kind of service especially for a $4 cup of coffee during covid when customers have a choice to stay home and make our own Nepresso coffee. read more

In my line of work, I know where hundreds of Starbucks are and have gotten some sort of java concoction at many of them. I drive past this one in particular daily to and from work, school, etc. Most visits are okay. Nothing spectacular. I get my order and I'm gone in just minutes. Then there are the times that there is almost no one in the store with the exception of the baristas...and this is the time that they choose to take nearly 15 minutes to make a simple Venti Cafe Latte. It's happened often enough that I avoid this store if there really aren't many customers inside. I placed an order for my husband to pick up and turns out the barista was not very pleased to serve him. He threw the sandwich bag and him and the cup sleeve. I tried to come here to drink some coffee while I studied for an exam. The evening crew made that pretty hard. There was male and female staff who were talking about their personal lives very loudly. To the point where I couldn't hear myself think. They seemed to think everyone in the store wanted to hear their future plans for promotions or the Starbucks staff they didn't like or wouldn't want to work with at other stores. The girl employee talked about her crappy roommate situation. I can recite all of this to you a week later because I literally got no studying done and ended up leaving after 40 minutes. I get you like your coworker and you think this is social time because it's later in the day but be mindful of who is in your store.
