I have been coming to this Starbucks to study for the past 6 months since I enrolled in classes again. I come here to study at least 3 times a week and love this location. I never have issues finding somewhere to sit, unlike all the other Starbucks location that I used to go to. They have plenty of outlets if you sit on the long table. Customer service wise everyone here is friendly. Sometimes they forget to make my drink which has happened on a few occasions but that is not an issue as all I do is remind them again. On the plus side, they do give me a free upgrade because they forgot. My go to if I order coffee is iced white mocha or iced caramel macchiato. Days where I don't feel like drinking coffee I order a green tea soy latte or a strawberry acai refresher. read more

This morning I was a bit frustrated. I'm a Starbucks regular. Instead of using my app this morning, I used cash (I didn't feel like reloading). My first drink was not made how I'm accustomed to it being made. I wS told cappuccinos contain mostly froth... Really? Not that much! My grande cup literally felt like a tall drink. Initially, I pulled off from the driveway like I'm not going to fuss this morning. But after spending 9.00 I decided I just get what I cane for. Long story short... I went back in and asked for it to be made again. I was given the same thing. Finally, I settled for a Macchiato. While I wasn't pleased that I didn't get the drink I initially ordered, I have to give the staff credit. It was a group effort to "fix" the situation. Whether it was sincere or not, I have to recognize it. Just keep in mind that if patrons want a grande sized portion of coffee, adjust the ingredients accordingly. There was maybe a total of 5 cars in the drive thru. I walked in to pick up a mobile order part of the order was fine which is obviously just putting into sandwich into the oven in the Crescent heat II Parts which was a Nitro cold brew with the honey salted cold foam. When I received it I received it without the honey salt on top of the cold phone I asked about it and was made to feel stupid about questioning in until they saw it and they fix their error. Upon walking out taking off a mask and tasting my drink it was not a Nitro cold brew. In order to avoid the headache and because I was in such a hurry I left without bringing it to their attention but more than anything I'm glad I save myself that extra step because I probably would have made been made to feel stupid again as I was before when my item was wrong and it was corrected. read more

The fact that I have to rate a Starbucks so poorly is sad. I am a Starbucks addict and I have never had any issues with this establishment EVER until my BF and I stopped by on 12/7/2016. We went through the drive thru per usual and upon, paying my BF tells the gentleman at the window that we wanted to redeem a star reward. He apparently didn't hear it being said and had to get a manager to come void the order to redo the process again. What completely turned me off about the situation is the following: 1. First thing the guy did after I told him we wanted to redeem was tell us that we should tell them ahead of time, which we did if he had listened instead of trying to cut off my BF midsentence. Don't put the blame on customers, ESPECIALLY if you're the one in the wrong about the situation. 2. The manager, Sarah, came to void the order and off the bat she had attitude towards the employee. Instead of talking to him, her tone of voice and demeanor was as if she was talking DOWN on him. Why are you a manager if you can't even talk to your subordinates in a calm tone about something that seems relatively easy to do? 3. Sarah walks away from the register and complains OUTLOUD that my BF and I should have told them we wanted to redeem. If you're having a bad day, I get it, BUT blow off your steam in private. I don't appreciate your poor attitude, nor will other customers. How unprofessional is it to act like THAT. Maybe Sarah should reconsider working at a place where customer service isn't a main factor that drives the business or get some manners. I have worked in the food service industry for 7 years as a manager myself, so my observations aren't coming from a person who "just wants to complain"; it's justified. I don't get off on asking for managers' names or taking time out of my day to write a review that's negative, but HONESTLY someone needs to go through some customer service etiquette training. The situation itself was so simple and the fact that the manager got so worked up over it should be of concern to this store location. If your managers don't possess the ability to act the way that they are expected to act, your employees obviously don't have a good example to follow. read more

Go here for studying and finishing up things for work...the atmosphere is great. I usually order my chilled chai ice tea with no ice to make sure there's more liquid...I get annoyed when they fill my venti order with mostly ice. They have good blueberry muffins and their on the go protein snack. Although they have gotten my order wrong a few times...no ones perfect. But I would expect them to at least offer a complimentary drink after the 'few' times they got my order wrong. read more

Drive thru and orders displayed correctly. However, when at window to paid and pick up, barista asked what we ordered. He had to called for help to pull up our ordered. I only gave it one star because at this time I'm really disappointed that the "Mercado" line of food has been discontinued. I especially loved the turkey pastrami sandwich. I would go if my way for it even though it was a bit pricey. It was so tasty. The staff in this location are ok but most of them are a bit cold. Yes, I do realize this is a review on Starbucks & while some of you may think it's the same @ every chain, you are w-r-o-n-g. Now, I haven't been much of a coffee drinker but they have pretty much converted me. I've had caramel macchiattos (?) at other Starbucks, but the other ones are usually too bitter for my preference. Another thing I like to get is the Vanilla Latte because here you can still taste the vanilla & the coffee where other places... all I taste is water =( So, however they train their staff here, they have done it right because their coffee actually TASTES like the name! Driving by to get to a place I had an appointment for.... I was early, so lets stop by for some coffee... The only reason I was going was because I saw the Drive Thru sign! You can never go wrong with a starbucks drive Thru.... There was only 3 cars in front of me, and the line was moving fast.... they don't have a lot of options in the drive thru menu... but they had what I wanted... Mocha Frappe. Guy taking order: "would you like whipped cream on that?" Me: "Of course" (is there a point of getting a frappe without the whipped cream?) I mean thats the whole reason of getting the frappe to begin with, so you can scoop out the whipped cream with the straw and eat it. it always comes with a drizzle of chocolate syrup on it... yuuumm.... Got to the window, the guy gave me my drink, with a pinch of whipped cream that was dissolving into the drink right before my eyes, and no chocolate! what????? I quickly pull over to get the little bit of the whipped cream that was there out of the cup and eat it... very disappointing... The FASTEST drive-thru Starbucks in the EAST! Was pretty skeptical about the long line upon first glance....opted for Jack In the Box, who had no line. Their system was down and so I went to Starbucks thinking I'd be in line for 5 minutes at least! Nope. The staff isn't as friendly as the other Starbucks on the other side of the 10 freeway in Rosemead. But they usually have more tables available to study on. However, you'd have to camp/scope out for the tables with electricity outlets. read more

If you use the drive thru service, ALWAYS check your receipt before you drive off! Chances are, you'll get overcharged, especially if you use a Sbux card or credit card. Service: I've used their drive thru service on a number of occasions, as it's on my way to school. The baristas are friendly, but some of them have ripped me off quite a few times. The only order I make in the mornings is a tall brewed coffee, but the cashier surreptitiously charges me for a larger drink. First time, I let it slide. Second and third times, I began noticing a disturbing trend. I suppose that they bet on drive thru customers not checking their receipts before they leave. Order: I've only had brewed coffee at this branch. The brew tastes slightly burnt, but what can you expect from Sbux? I think it's part of their "signature" taste. Verdict: Nothing special, imo. Was nearby so I decided to grab a drink for my wife and I, we went through the drive thru because it had been especially hot that day but the second we pulled up to the speaker and the barista "greeted" us we knew that we should've gone to a different Starbucks of going at all. I'm not exactly sure who was on the other side but you could tell she was having a horrible day and was taking it out on us. She wouldn't listen to the customization of our drinks and we had to repeat it a few times. Once she repeated it back to us correctly we said it was good and we moved forward. Once we pulled up to the window the attitude continued. This time I was able to get a name, Emily. I was doing my best to be friendly towards her but she clearly was not having any part of it. We were rushed out of the drive thru within a overly quick amount of time. It made us question if the drinks were made correctly. So we tasted them. They were not. The drinks I ordered were these: A Trenta Iced Coffee With Caramel Sauce Extra Breve and Sweetened. A Trenta Iced Green Tea Two pumps extra of classic No Water The coffee was not sweetened and hardly had any cream to it. The tea was unsweetened and very watered down. Looked like someone had made it earlier in the day and gave it to us. Neither drink even had our order stickers on the cup. I parked my car and went inside the store. It was not busy and seemed over staffed by about three people. I wasn't greeted as I walked towards the counter and everyone turned to see and I knew that at the very least Emily recognized me and they all ignored me being there so I decided to just fix the drink up myself. It doesn't taste nearly as good that way but it is what it is. There's a strong chance I will not be coming back to this Starbucks. It's not worth it. Came here twice the other day because I was having the meanest sweet tooth. My first purchase was a Coffee Crumb cake with an Iced water.. Which I love from Starbucks since its Triple Filtered. In general, this Starbucks is OK. They often run out of the popular pastry items, but it's a drive-thru and I appreciate that, so I can't complain. The most stand-out negative experiences I have had were being told that they don't make iced tea (hmmmmm, yes you do), and having some, um, personality conflicts with some of the baristas/cashiers.
