Situated on a busy 7th Street in Garden City, it's surrounded by several high-end café shops. I'm curious to see how this Starbucks location continues to thrive. Came here for coffee and had a miserable experience. I ordered online and it was estimated that the coffee would be ready in 5-8 minutes. Once I got there, I waited about 20 minutes to get my coffee. It was very busy and half the baristas were sitting at a table just chilling while the others behind the counters were taking their leisurely time. They never checked up on anyone waiting a long time nor did they apologize for the insanely slow pace. The store itself was so disgustingly dirty and was in dire need of a cleaning. A lot of straw wrappers and crumbs on the floor. Would not come back. read more

This location offers plenty of parking in the rear parking lot. I entered thru the back door since Hubby dropped me off at the parking lot. I had a glimpse and saw about 4-5 small tables near the back entrance. The front area of the store is smaller. The counter is right in the middle between the front and back. I was here before Christmas so they offered a lot of holiday items and decorated the store with fancy Starbucks holiday designs. I received a good service and I didn't have to wait that long for my favorite Chai, awesome! read more

I'm everywhere. I get Starbucks coffee at various locations throughout the area. I see the counter people who were transferred from one store location to another. We chat, give each other the nod and I go on my way. The service is no different from any other Starbucks in the nation. I happen to like this location because there is a back room with good wifi signal. It's a quite space after the morning rush. If you want to sit outside in the nice weather, they have outside tables. Starbucks. They have the same product wherever you go. You want a line? Come to the Smith Haven mall anytime of the day. Thankful for this Starbucks being open later than everything else in Garden City. Got a peach tea after attending an event nearby and hung out on the couches in the front with my friend catching up. It's your typical Starbucks with typical service and the same old beverages. What's cool is that there's a back room with good WiFi and bathrooms. The cashier girl had a bit of an attitude, especially when I tried to joke around with her, but I get it, she wasn't having it, didn't care for me getting cheeky, she just wanted to get home. The peach tea also hit the spot and helped me to go to sleep. Recommend this Starbucks if you're in the area. read more

If I could give this zero stars I would... just visited this location this morning.. ordered 4 drinks. My cashier must of been nice which is fine but obvious as she didn't know anything about the drinks & what they were.. Ordered a mocha frappe, 2 peppermint mocha frappes (creme based) and a peppermint hot chocolate ... All my frappes came with coffee even I SPECIFICALLY asked for them not to. And even the person making my drinks reassured me that they were not going to have coffee. My peppermint hot chocolate had espresso in it even .... so I went back to have my hot chocolate remade ... They forgot to put chocolate in my ...Hot chocolate .. when the barista noticed he just put chocolate syrup on top of the whip and put a cover on it. Literally had to ask for my own stirrer to mix the chocolate in my drink .. SMH.. I will never be returning to this location. It's a literal $21 dollars down the drain for drinks that just got thrown in the trash can. read more

Not my favorite Starbucks location. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting and the baristas seemed to care more about talking to each other than serving the customers. The condiment bar was filthy and poorly stocked. Is there no manager at this store? Also, they advertised blonde roast but weren't brewing any, so they made it in the clover and it was plain awful. read more

Once Starbucks got political, I stopped going. A friend of mine who works in GC requests I get her a "Starbucks" lately, well yesterday was her last one. In the past 2 weeks, I have been here a number of times. This place is dirty, the employees look dirty and they are more interested in socializing than working, it's never a pleasant experience in this place. Then while you are waiting and waiting, and watching the "show" behind the counter, there is 1 speaker playing extremely LOUD music so you get a headache and cant hear what they are saying. PS, Even if my coffee was $1.75 rather than $5.30, I still would NEVER go back. You pay more, considerably more, at Starbucks, they should do a better job. read more

Unfortunately this once good location has gone so far down hill that I have to let you know that it's not worth it anymore. From the barista that seems to like licking his fingers constantly as he's making the drinks, to the cashier taking your order and Your money but is just not interested at all, there's no reason to bother with this now awful location. My latte was half full, or half empty. Either way, I paid for a grande and was given a tall latte in volume in a grande cup. Watching the barista lick his fingers while the other barista lazily poured ice coffees into a couple of cups very slowly in a busy store just sealed the deal for me. It is now on par with the worst Starbucks on Merrick Rd in Merrick. read more

Just like every other Starbucks around but I do enjoy my Starbucks beverages. Very friendly staff and lots of seating in the establishment. This Starbucks has the clover machine which I didn't realize until I already ordered and paid for my beverage. I enjoyed my coffee and bagel. read more

Love the baristas here. Even under the pressure of the crazy lines they keep it moving fast and are extremely attentive.

I work down the road and this is the closest Starbucks. With the exception of one stellar employee, I have always had sub-par experiences here. The first time, I did an online order of a Smores Frapp, which comes with whipped cream; I never changed the default settings which indicate it comes with it. When I arrive, they hand me some concoction in a regular iced coffee cup, claiming it is my Smores Frapp that did not have whipped cream. I asked them to redo it but initially they gave me a hard time, saying that since I did not specify I wanted the whipped cream, they wouldn't give it to me. Eventually the aforementioned stellar employee remade the drink the correct way and apologized. The second time, a week or so later, I arrived, once again my coworker and I did online ordering, when we arrived 10 minutes later they had not even started to make the order. Estimated time specified was 3-8 minutes. Not acceptable. My drink was correct (caramel macchiato) but was not well made. Today is likely the last time for me. Online order, the Smores Frapp again...one last chance. I even put "Extra whipped cream" to make sure it was on it. I get there 5 minutes later to see the place pretty empty and wait another 5 minutes. Then I ask when they are going to make my drink. Without making any eye contact and working on someone else's drink, one of the baristas said "phone?" I did not know what she meant. She finally looked up, rolled her eyes and said "We didn't get the order so, phone?" Showed her the receipt on my phone. She started to ask if I was at the right location (there's another a mile down the road or so) but stopped when she clearly saw the address. They rushed together something that sort of resembled the Smores Frapp but was missing some ingredients, again no apology or eye contact. I was waiting too long with my lunch that was getting cold to go through this again.Guess DD is getting my money now when I'm at work. The location by Trader Joe's is much better. read more

Maybe I'm biased because Starbucks is my literal heart and soul but this Starbucks like all the others I've been to is phenomenal! Clean restroom, workspace and eating area. I love how relaxed and anxious Starbucks always make me feel. On one hand the music is super laid back but then the barista asks me my order and suddenly I don't know what's bugger a venti or a grande..? Hit or miss. There are a few diff issues with this SB (music too loud, not clean, too cold) but the main issue is staff. I've met kinder staff at the majority of other SB's on the island. A bit slow as well. Drink will be done and they won't put your bagel/sandwich/whatever in until a couple of minutes later. The regular morning staff is not very welcoming or kind. This sb is good place to study, there are lots of parking in the back parking lot. The table by the rear entrance normally not too many people, there is outlet for charging laptop and phone. Table is long so left yourself a bit privacy unless all chair are occupy. And there are many restaurants around, no problem for food if you don't like sb food. read more

Absolutely the worst Starbucks I have ever been to! And yes, believe it or not in Garden City of all places! Upon entering this God awful location, you are not even acknowledged by the half a dozen "baristas" behind the counter. Heck, they don't even look up! Its like girl, I am giving you my paycheck with my $6 Venti non-fat triple latte, look up and acknowledge customers! How incredibly rude! They have zero sense of urgency and could care in the least that the line is 8 people deep and nearly out the door! I had an appointment in Garden City and decided to pop in afterwards for my afternoon pick me up. This location is very small, not enough tables and chairs to sit down and enjoy your coffee. The barista's were friendly and quick with the orders. A clean and quick Starbucks will keep me coming back. read more

Me and my friend usually spend a lot of time on 7th and we always get Starbucks but almost every time we get stuck waiting over 45 min for a drink. This is unacceptable when there are 3 people making drinks and only 5 people in the store. read more

I'm so torn with this location, I love 7th Street in GC I'm here almost everyday so I frequent this Starbucks a lot during the week. When they get your drink correct it is awesome! But that's when they get it correct. I literally sat there one day in line watching as 2 people talked at the registers as about 8-10 of us sat online waiting for someone to take our orders. Then he went to go help another coworker that must of been off her shift and wanted to get drinks to go. I looked at this kid like you are kidding me and he must of caught wind because he said oh are you next? I said yes along with the 10 other people behind me. So I place an order for my coffee and bantam bagels. Now at this point there's no one waiting for drinks anymore that's how long it took for them to start taking orders again. But I still waited and I still hadn't got my bagels. Now if your a regular to Starbucks you know how it works. You order your food and they deliver it to you where you get your drink well before your drink even comes up. So after 10 minutes I finally get my drink still no idea why it even took 10 minutes since there was no people waiting and I didn't see them putting any mobile orders out, still no bagels so I asked the guy who took my order what happened to my bagels. He goes oh man I forgot to make them. Seriously?? So I said forget it I'm going to be late and he's like oh you don't want them I said yea I did but now I'm going to be late and he's like okay and keeps going about his business. Hello!! Give me back my money he's like oh yea so he tells me to wave my app and then he walks away. So I'm like am I good to go? He's like oh yea your good. Yea I've seen a little to much of this here between the constant confusion and the more talking than making drinks. I'll also have to agree with another reviewer who said the music was too loud, I love music and I do listen to my music loud but I will admit it is a little much in there sometimes I can't even hear when I'm trying to place my order. I love 7th st. GC ... Every weekend my family & I stop in for breakfast. On Friday evening we also stop in for a treat. I never have an issue her. It's actually our FAVORITE SB. We go to many different ones and by far is is our #1 go to location. Even when my kids try something new and they don't like it; with no hesitation the barista will change it for something else. read more

I order the same thing every day, it can't be that difficult to make an iced coffee. This place is a necessary evil to me since I work so close and need an afternoon pick me up. I've been to several starbucks over the years and this by far has been the worst. I'd like to preface by saying that I am lactose intolerant..not because it is a fun word to throw around or because I like to ruin barista's lives but because I genuinely am. The first time I went, they "forgot" the soy milk and added regular milk, which consequently ended up with me being severely sick for hours after that. On the next visit, I ordered a chocolate croissant and ended up with some sort of croissant that had nuts on it. I cannot consume nuts, so thank you for that. Last visit, which was today, I ordered a raspberry whoopee pie just as I always do, just as I've been doing for the past 3-4 weeks and they gave me the vanilla one. The point is not that I can or can't eat the vanilla, the point is that they couldn't bother to read what the customer actually requested, which is to be frank, quite appalling considering that I am paying for this. The only upside is that on rare occasions, the baristas are friendly. So...thanks for messing up my order but at least you are smiling? read more

Two stars only because I feel bad leaving one. I've been meaning to write this review for a while but I've always stopped myself. I get it, it gets busy, people are cranky especially when it comes to coffee demands, with in store orders, mobile orders i can imagine how difficult and overwhelming it might get for the employees. As someone who has worked in retail and has dealt with rude customers, I sympathize for those working in retail/restaurant business. However, today was the last straw. Mistakes have been made in the past, such as my mobile order taking forever or in store orders getting messed up and not once getting an apology. And for the listed reasons above, I've always just brushed it off. Today I placed a mobile order at around 12:05, I go into the store about 20 mins later, having learned my lesson from previous times that it takes them a while to make mobile orders. Having come 20 mins later, I wait around for another five, thinking it probably got busy. Finally, I tell one of the employees that it's been over 20 minutes since I placed my order. His response, oh it happens, maybe someone took yours by accident. Fine. He then proceeds to make my coffee and then I see him return to the register. I wait around another 5 mins, and tell another employee and she goes , "oh it's there I put it in the to go section." I was completely shocked that this was the level of customer service at this location. Beyond disappointed. read more

The barista, Trisha couldn't make a grande iced coffee with half and half and sugar..after the second time she told me to make it myself. I'm paying $5 for a cup of coffee please make it right. The Starbucks on seventh st. in Garden City is pretty much run of the mill, but what is special about the company in general is that if I ever walk into one in uniform I'd say there is a 90% chance I will not have to pay for my beverage of choice. This location has a great staff, very friendly and quick. There always seems to be a line whenever I am in here, I can only imagine working here for all the GC people and kids spending their parents money.
