As a person who visits a lot of Starbucks restaurants, having one (and a drive thru at that) at an exit that's full of service stations for 18 wheelers and fast food restaurants...I thought of this location as a kind of oasis. I didn't want any of the "fast-food" that was available...all I was thinking was needing a "Pick me up" for the next several hundred miles on my way back to So Cal (home). For me Starbucks has what I wanted. I used only the drive-thru, no one was in front of me so the whole process was relatively fast. Also, the order taker had a friendly energized voice which I appreciated. I didn't give the restaurant a 5 star rating because for whatever reason they entered my order wrong, I had to remind them of my entire order which if you're in a hurry could be annoying ( I wasn't but I could imagine). Breakfast sandwich was not hot all the way to the center, but my drink was made well, they offered ceramic cups and plates for eat-in service, and they re-made my husband's cortados to his liking. Wow this Starbucks is just as bad as my hometown Starbucks. I think if you went to the Starbucks in Oakland they would offer better drinks. How hard can it be to simply say "sorry we are actually out of cold brew, can I use ice coffee instead or would you like to change your drink?" Not even mentioning they didn't have cold brew in the first place. Secondly not adding syrup to the drink or the vanilla cream? You know a crucial part of the drink. Surprised at the two-star average Yelp rating of this SB. Located in Santa Nella, it turned out to be a convenient pit stop on our road trip from the East Bay to SoCal. It has a drive-thru and a good-sized seating area. Also has two relatively clean unisex restrooms that normally have a line. Drink service is a bit slower than average SB but at least I was happy with my Grande Americano. Bold and smooth and a nice shot of caffeine as I was the main driver for the day. read more

Not sure why this place gets bad reviews. Ordered a matcha Frappuccino and it came out wonderful. Very friendly young staff. Atmosphere is relaxed and elegant, with some interesting wall art. Seating is plentiful and perfect for breaks during long drives north or south. Covid-19 Review - placed my mobile order and and it was ready on time. There's a small table at the entrance and a very nice guy wearing a mask asked for my name and brought out my drink right away. Loved that I didn't have to go inside and my mocha cookie crumble Frap was delicious! They also have a drive-thru. This location is not really right off the freeway, you have to go through a stop sign that can take forever depending on how many trucks are in line. I'm a Santa Nella resident and those in the morning shift genuinely need to reevaluate how they make drinks. I have severe lactose intolerance and FIVE times when I've asked for oatmilk they always seem to add Dairy to my coffee. At this point it feels targeted. PIT STOP / P- STOP ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ AN OASIS IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE! The place is almost smack in the middle of my migration route, from Modesto to Monterey, SLO, Gilroy, or the lower Bay Area. It arrises like a mirage, after miles and miles of uninterrupted grassland and cows, from either the Route 5 direction, or before or after surviving the twisty-turny beautifully scenic Pacheco Pass. Now yes, it is a fine standard full-service Starbucks, and they always have good coffee & friendly service, but most importantly have a nice clean restroom. This is critical on my migration route, because over from Gilroy & the pass, there are almost no restrooms nor civilization, and it takes an hour of concentrated driving to survive the Pacheco pass (Route 152). From the Central Valley direction, there really is almost nothing for a good hour or more until you get here. The other decent choice is Peasoup Anderson's (with the Windmill), but then you will want a nice bowl of soup before you leave...and get further delayed. There are surrounding gas stations and other places, but they look rundown and crappy. The one gas station we tried once, had an absolutely gross bathroom. We have found that this is a far faster & nicer way to transverse the mountain range, to get to the promised land, of beaches, trees, or other wonders, and escape the Central (Death Valley) Valley. The Northern Altamont pass is filled with Psychocommuterdrivers, Gangbangers, and other Assorted Dirtbags from hell at many times during the day. This pass has much nicer drivers, nicer cars (rare Central Valley Crap/Gangsta Mobiles), and some trucks which sometimes are a pain to pass. I think that most of the people who drive here are CA locals who know the roads and their manners. On a clear day, it is a beautiful and scenic drive! BTW- The first reviews of this place are listed with almost the same address, but with the wrong town, this is Santa Nella (and not Gustine). We ordered our coffee here about 3 minutes from the stop (traveling south on I -5). The coffee was ready within the time frame given us on the app- about 8 minutes total. The workers were friendly, the music was fun, and I really appreciated a few things at this spot- a baby high chair (our baby is 10 months old); and one of the workers actually cleaned and sanitized all the tables while we were there. I haven't seen a coffee shop do this in quite a while (yikes). Even though our girl isn't old enough yet, this place also has small tables for toddlers to sit at, and color crayons, paper, and some toys as well! I received my sandwich and waited patiently for my coffee. I asked the barista about it and she said to wait. I get that they're busy, but they didn't give me the correct drink order after waiting over 10 minutes. When I asked them to remake my correct drink, they didn't even bother to make it correctly. I worked at Starbucks before. I know what it's like to be in "rush hour" but it's part of the customer service to make the drink to your customers' liking, especially loyal customers.
