I look forward to my Starbucks every day - but not so much at this highland location. It used to be great , now it is down to a very few pleasant cashiers - very rarely ever greeted with a smile anymore, the staff looks unhappy and irritated. Manager/Staff, when you interviewed for the job in the hospitality business, that is what it means : to be hospitable. Especially when McDonalds is across the street and customers can get their coffee for $1.50 for the same treatment instead of $5. Also, the men's room at this location has been out of service for a month. So the women's room has a lot of traffic and no one seems to know when it will be fixed. She never even asked the Black gentleman that fell on the floor if he was okay. And get this, he fell real hard. Starbucks has WIFI. Customer service has declined in this country. I was able to use the WIFI here so that I could easily go on Facebook and air out Highland dirty laundry. Periodically I go on YELP too! I told her to serve me, very sweetly, and get this.... quietly. She looked nervously at the White woman and said real slick like, "Okay, okay,calm down." And nastily handed me the Ice Water. I hate coming to this Starbucks but driving from San Bernardino it's the closest drive through to me. Everytime I order Im always polite and ask how their day is and most of the time I just get ignored and rushed to put in my order. I've worked for Starbucks for 3 years I know their role as a barista and what is expected from them. My drink is the most basic and common drink but some how they can never get it right. Venti Caramel Frap with extra caramel on the bottom & the sides... what's so hard about that? I am 9months pregnant & I crave caramel. No it's not the healthiest choice but I pay for it to be added so why is it so hard to get? The baristas here are just lazy and rude! Today I went in for Frappy Hour & yes I know how chaotic and stressful it is but that shouldn't mean the quality of the beverage has to be lowered. Today I ordered the same beverage as always & not only did I get a sad little drizzle of caramel around the cup they gave me marshmallow flavored whipped cream .. how do I know? Because it's used for the Smores frap & I don't know if they did it on purpose to be rude or they were just too lazy to make more vanilla whipped cream. Regardless I took my beverage and just drank it, knowing that they were slammed with customers & its Mother's Day but if it were any other day I would've given that crappy beverage back & requested a new one. This is probably the only Starbucks that I've been to for 5 years since it is down the street from my house! Yes some of drinks have been made wrong and not tasted good as how I liked them to be but overall it's amazing. The people there are always nice and will make your drinks the way you want it. Sometimes the lines though drive thru take long but they do keep it going. They just suck. The supervisor was the only one that knew how to make drinks. We ordered three drinks. One iced grande flat white which had to be remade twice because they didn't use ristretto shots and the shots were dead/burnt. The iced latte was overly sweet for one pump of white mocha syrup and coconut milk and the strawberry refresher with lemonade just tasted like lemonade. The latte was switched to an iced London fog latte in which they put non fat milk instead of the asked for soy milk. So that had to be remade again. This time they put it in a treinta with full pumps of the vanilla syrup instead of desired one for a grande. The strawberry refresher still tasted awful. At that point we demanded a refund. Took the awful drinks they gave us with the exception of the ice flat white the supervisor made and left after about 30 minutes. Find a different Starbucks. read more

Starbucks has the option to order on their App and it should be ready by the time you make it in the store. I did this and was disappointed on how this particular Starbucks handles the online ordering. So I ordered a drink and arrived about 5 mins later. It was not busy, so I had hoped my drink was already ready. It was not, so I figured no big deal and just waited at the pickup counter. I watched how other customers arrived, ordered their drinks, and then picked up their drinks before me. After the third customer did this, I asked them how long before my drink would be ready. They gave me an attitude and stated they were working on it now. I asked if I should just order in line next time since they didn't make the drinks in order of first received. Instead of a simple apology, they lady stated the 2nd machine was broken and they were working on my drink. She gave off a flippant attitude and really could care less about the poor service. It's my birthday today, and I went in to get my free drink, and the lady was super rude, and told me that I had to wait for something in the mail, and then my brother asked for the nutrition facts, and she said they didn't have them. Umm, THAT'S illegal. All food serving facilities are required by law to have a full list of nutrition facts available for any and all of their food/beverage items. Should have gotten her name. I don't come to this Starbucks a lot but yesterday I was in the area and gave it a shot. I ordered and sat in the drive thru for around ten fifteen mins it's whatever becuz Starbucks is always like that. Halfway thru the drive thru I realize I only have two hundred dollar bills and already know what they are going to say, and sure enough I get up to the window and she says she can't break it for a drink that costs $4.55. I got pretty irritated becuz I just sat in line so long so I pressed the issue by asking her why the had nothing posted about not being able to break bills over a certain amount so people like me didn't have to waste their time in line just to be denied for having too big of a bill. And I also went on to ask how the hell could Starbucks being as big of a company as they are not made $100 today so that she could give me my change? ( im aware it's just against their policy I was just being stubborn) so the girl went on to say well the only thing I can do is give you the drink for free. I have been coming to this Starbucks for years. While there are ups and downs like at any Starbucks, most of the time I have found the quality and staff to be great. They have always been quick to correct any mistskes made. I use the Mobile order and drive through as I am usually on my way to somewhere else. This is usually the most efficient way. Very Disappointed with the quality of the Very berry refreshers lately! All my co workers and friends that go with me agree that the drink tastes very minty or sometimes they throw the crumbs of the berries in there! We have complained several times and asked for a replacement but the employees seem very upset when we do. Although Starbucks has the promise if were not happy then they will replace the drink. I now drive to the Starbucks that is in Redlands to get what I expect for $4.45. When my friend went to go complain the manager told her that they may not be washing the cups out correctly! That should be enforced! So I don't know if that's the case or if the Manager should report the quality to the distribution center. Have noticed the decline in service and appearance of this particular location. Don't go here if you are in a hurry. Only if you have tons and tons of time on your hands to spare. The drive-thru is very, very slow. I was once in the drive-thru for about 40 minutes. They felt bad and gave me my drink for free. But my time is more valuable than a free cup of Joe. If you choose to walk in, hopefully you have found a parking in the, wait for it........the very large 7 space parking lot. By then, there is usually a line in the inside. They have messed up my order about 1/3 of the time. Check your drinks before leaving. I really wish there were another Starbucks in Highland. Hint, hint you deep pocket investors. read more
