Decent internet speeds. I was able to connect my laptop fairly easy and work next to a window. Office workers mainly frequent this location. The only downside for me is there are no outlets. This isn't a big deal for most but if you work remotely then this place might not be a good all day option. Since I live walking distance from here it's a nice break from working from home.

Best Starbucks. The drinks are great, and the service is even better A great place to go if you'd like a good start to your day. -Ons

Love coming to this Starbucks! Located in the middle of downtown. There is paid parking in the parking garage but, there is also some street parking available depending on what time you go. The staff is very awesome here! They have such a great energy and are always so friendly. They make you feel so welcomed. This location is usually very busy especially in the morning rush hours, but the staff work very hard to get all the orders done in a timely manner. We have never had an bad experience with drinks here and they seem to know how to fix orders that have been made different at other locations. I would definelty recommend this location!

Oleato sample, espresso with olive oil

This is my favorite Starbucks in downtown. What made me write this review is that one of their Barista came around with a sample of cold Oleato drink. At first I thought it will be some overly sweet coffee. Cold Oleato coffe is made with hint of toffee, nutty syrup and olive oil. Sounds weird right? But you have to try it for yourself. I couldn't believe how good it was. Olive oil really made it nutty and smooth. It was so good that I came the next day and tried the hot version. The hot Oleato didn't have the toffee syrup and made with oat milk but still had olive oil. It was also nice especially on a cool, windy day.

On coffee day, they gave free coffee if u bring your own cup, but instead I bought a pumpkin spice latte and they filled it only 3/4 full.

I like to go to this starbucks because it's close to the places I go for lunch in town. Although they have new employees that don't know how much to pour (once my pumpkin spice latte was less than 3/4 full) an experience employee explained it's bc the new employees are still learning to froth it, that sometimes it's too much and it looks full to them so just return to get it filled more. Since then my coffee has been filled fully. Because of covid, there's nowhere to sit, but I rather bring it back to my office to enjoy anyway. When I go, it's not busy so my coffee is made quickly, and the staff are nice.

Since returning to downtown Honolulu for work, I have found this location to be very convenient. Mobile ordering in the Starbucks app is also brilliant! I put in my mobile order after parking my car in the mornings and when I arrive at this location, my drink is on the counter waiting for me. They have about 6 baristas working during the morning rush so everyone's food and drink orders come out quick. It's really good because everyone in downtown is trying to rush into the office with their morning coffee/breakfast. There have been mornings where they turn off mobile ordering because it's too crowded and so I just come back one hour later and order my drink in person with the barista. In the afternoons, if there is no Frappuccino happy hour or buy one get one special, this place is quiet. The baristas will talk to you while making your drink. It's also a good time to sit inside and use their space to work or have small group meetings. This location does not have public bathrooms or parking.

With Starbucks, you always have a choice of location even on foot as there's another around the corner. This downtown Honolulu location is on Merchant Street, which makes it very centrally located for anyone working in or exploring the area. The hand full of times I've been here, it's usually pretty empty so there isn't a long wait for drinks. The line begins right inside the door with the counter on the right. Pickup is beyond that. There is a rear entrance leading directly into the office building as well. One benefit is dedicated outdoor seating off of the main room; you can only access these tables from the inside. Starbucks in general are nice trendy coffee shops. Be sure to download their app for easy ordering during peak times and to keep track of points for free items. The music selection is subdued as is the lighting; perfect to take a break from the heat or do some work away from home. For office events, be sure to ask about the catering size drinks. Be sure to keep an eye out for seasonal and holiday drinks!

    Bug in drink
    Sara W.

The last few times I've been at this location my drink has been made wrong and today I found a bug in my drink. I always do a mobile order to be able to pick it up and go since I don't have a lot of time. Drank it for a few minutes until I saw it. Very disappointed

Less one star because no public restroom. No, I don't want to walk to Walmart to use their restroom. When they run out of Guava, then the peach iced tea is good too. They had pineapple at one time, maybe that's too sweet for people.

The coffee was delicious, but the pastries were the star of the show. The black sesame kouign-amann was incredible and such a unique flavor, and the chocolate croissant was amazing too. However, the staff moved pretty quickly, and I'm surprisingly good at zoning out, so the wait didn't feel too bad to me. If you know you're buying a bag of beans, you can skip the long line and go straight to the back. You can also order pastries and drinks along with your beans. Before you make your coffee order, you have to go through the pastry section first, where they partner with the iconic SF bakery B. Patisserie! They have a wide selection of pastries that looked super yummy, but also pretty dense. I didn't want to kill my stomach first thing in the morning, so I only got one before I made my way over to order drinks. BLACK SESAME KOUIGN AMANN - 7.50 I loved the crunch from every bite, with the black sesame paste delicately layered throughout. It was a bit too greasy and sweet for my liking, but overall, a solid pastry that is well-loved by many. ICED POUR OVER - 12 + Kona Hualalai (notes: plum, hibiscus, and caramel) Very mellow and smooth. This was the lightest roast they had, which they described as a medium-light. If you're looking for something bright and juicy, I don't think you can find it in Kona beans. It was pricy, but I'm glad I got to try it. If anything, I preferred their pastries over the coffee. Still, if you're a coffee fan and especially if you want to try Kona beans, make sure to get up early and stop by. I also got to sample some of their drip coffee with my friend and try their current selection, which was a fun way to compare the different beans before making a purchase.

A Cozy Cafe with Friendly Staff, but the Coconut Latte Missed the Mark…read more I stopped by Bluetree Cafe in Kakaʻako around 3 PM with my cat, and the staff were genuinely friendly. They all came over to say hi to my cat, which was such a sweet and welcoming touch. The cafe itself is very cozy and beautifully decorated, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere. I actually came specifically for the coconut latte after seeing it in their Yelp photos. Unfortunately, the drink was quite disappointing. There was a fairly long wait - around 8 - 10 minutes for one cup. It seemed like one of the baristas was new and another staff member was teaching her, so I completely understood the delay. But when I finally received the drink, it didn't taste anything like the coconut latte I was expecting and it's the most expensive one though. I've probably had couple of hundreds coconut lattes, so I have a pretty good idea of what I was looking for. I asked the barista if she might have accidentally made a regular latte instead of a coconut latte, and she assured me, "Yes, it's a coconut latte." I took several sips, but honestly, it tasted more like a cold brew to me. Since I had my cat with me and the AC inside was also quite strong, I eventually went outside and just enjoyed hanging out with my cat instead. I really wanted to love this place because the atmosphere and staff were so nice. If the coconut latte had been made correctly - or tasted more like the coconut latte shown in their photos - I would definitely consider coming back. For now, though, I'm not sure I would make a special trip back just for the drink. I hope they improve the consistency because the cafe has a lot of potential.

I'd been curious about trying their matcha offerings, so I was excited. We came on a holiday morning, and there wasn't anyone inside. The cafe is cute and vibey! I ordered at the register, and she made my drink immediately. I was intrigued by their Haupia Matcha Latte. I love all things Haupia, so it seemed like the perfect match. I got the Haupia Matcha Latte with Oat Milk, and it was superb. I loved how creamy it was, how the sweetness of the haupia shone, but the earthiness of the matcha was still there. The banana bread latte is one I personally like, and the haupia matcha has a nice coconut kick. The ube matcha latte was just okay--the matcha overpowered the ube and the flavor kind of drifted. Not sure if the powder was a bit heavy that day or if the water temperature played a role, but I wouldn't order that one again. There are still other flavors I haven't tried, plus milk alternatives like oat milk available. I don't want to be that person when this place has an overall rating of 4.5 but this is just my honest opinion. I got the blue dream and yes it was very ascetically pleasing, but it was just too icy. Before coming to this place i read a couple of reviews that also said the same thing and i didn't understand what that meant, but now I do. There are a lot of flavorless, just regular, small shards of ice in the bowl. On top of that, the moment I received my bowl, it was already borderline melted. So that got me thinking, how can it be melted and icy at the same time? The only explanation that I can think of is just ice additive/fillers. It's not pure cold acai or whatever is in the bowl you choose, but there's a mixture of ice in it too. Yes I understand, it's Waikiki, everything is more expensive, but the added topping prices on top of the already expensive bowl prices just don't make sense. You want a beautiful looking bowl with a lot of different toppings, yet some toppings can go up to 1 dollar PER topping. I don't know if I've just been spoiled by a couple places in SoCal, but at those places they have unlimited toppings and those bowls are the best that there is. I'm not bringing any bias from other locations, but this is just an honest review based on my experience today.
