I recommended because it's Starbucks, but I'm always reluctant to because most Starbucks are staffed by people that look like they've been placed their in voluntarily as some sort of penalization seemingly having forgotten that they've chosen to work there and also conveniently neglected the huge depth of benefits they receive compared to most other organizations. So while I love the concept of Starbucks, I loath most of the people who work there. Just goes to prove that life is all about perspective and how easy it is to mistake choices with Reitz lead leading to a sense of entitlement.. The only thing you're entitled to do is make a different choice! For the amount of angst the typical Starbucks employee exudes you'd think they'd be able to back their discontent with a commiserate level of speed, flexibility, friendliness and cleanliness... alas, NO.... Welcome to the old Maxim of reaping what you sow. You're unhappy because you behave in an entitled manner that's unhappy and therefore you receive such deservingly so. Your life is a reflection of what you exude - welcome to your own party. Food is what it is ...fast, usually tasty. The food cones in plastic... it's not five star dining.. Also, just from a systemic perspective, the employee should not be able to buy goods from the shelves cups mugs, etc. those are not for the staff. They should not have special access to pulling goods off the shelf before the customers get them.. The staff is typically buying them and then reselling them online, which is especially true for those limited item, hard goods which totally defeats the purpose that the company intended. It's not driving customers and it's pissing customers off. Starbucks needs to find its soul again... it's like McDonald's met Allstate!!! fast food that thinks it's upscale (because of atmospherics) yet family, friendly casual dinning while inertially slow and tone deaf, marching to the beat of its own drum... if I beat this drum loudly and long enough people follow the beat. Nope - it's just a tiresome din. The recommendation is location by location. The one in Northport on Fort Salonga.Rocks, the concourse at Penn Station kills it especially under incredible volume. It's nice to see that group smile and do their job well! read more

Starbucks is Starbucks. They are all pretty much the same, this one was clean and the staff were very friendly. I hated my drink but that's on me because I tried something my daughter insisted that I would like. I had a feeling that the cherry chai was not my thing but I got it anyway. My daughter loved hers though! The only thing I dislike about Starbucks is the prices but that is not specific to this particular location. read more

The staff here is awesome, I come here all the time in the morning. If your just coming for coffee or lunch with friends, sit in the the back and the sun will come in perfectly. There is usually a long line, but rest assured it will go quickly. There are about 3-6 people working at any given time and orders are usually pumped out within a a few minutes. Typically I go for just an espresso late, but the if there's a holiday or special promo drink I'll definitely try it. Often, they'll do a promo drink for a local business which is great to see them supporting the local community. Great job guys! This will continue to be my go-to Starbucks. read more

The barista didn't say anything to her even though only service dogs are allowed. I mentioned how dirty I thought it was and the woman rudely defended herself and her dog, she told me to go home to my cats, I told her I had a snake. On the way out I saw the woman with the dog complaining to staff about me? Local Starbucks. This was the first Starbucks to hit Huntington back when Starbucks was just getting started in the NY area. Starbucks has never been a favorite of mine- really I don't need to be thinking that hard in the morning just to have a cup of coffee. All that hooey with the latin names and such- gimme a break. This place is sitting in a perfect spot - it is at the crossroads of two very busy streets in the heart of Huntington Village. The downside, as Raul pointed out, is that it is jammed with tweens and teens and there are so many of them that they spill out onto the sidewalks, thereby causing those of us who have been drinking to have to do some fancy footwork when hammered... Visit Date: June 20, 2015 I have been here on other occasions but this is the first time I'm reviewing it. There's a lot of seating here, the coffee bar is pretty huge. There are a multitude of ways that Starbucks sucks. First of all, the "Starbucks roast" is BS, nuking coffee beans is the lazy way to do it, Starbucks has the resources to better, and chooses not to. Service across stores varies widely. The stores often seem to be adequately staffed, but there always seems to be at least one person endlessly packing out or resetting merch. Does anybody actually buy those aluminum Starbucks cups, anyway? If wanted high-quality coffee, I'd do with Southdown Coffee, just north of this Starbucks. But this Starbucks could not be more convenient for my AM commute. Order my morning coffee on the app, I slide right over on Main Street, hop in, grab my stuff, greet the clerks and I'm back in my car. I really can't be mad at that at all. This Starbucks is pretty good as far as Starbucks stores go, but I feel like Starbucks in general sucks less than they used to. But seriously, if you're really into coffee, don't waste any time here and go to Southdown instead, Mark Boccard is a roasting genius. read more

The Starbucks menu is consistent anywhere you go, but this particular location is one of the best simply for it's current Clover machine. It is only one of about 4 locations (2 NYC, 1 Bridgehampton) that have it and it is a special brewing machine that uses specific temperature combined with fresh ground beans and blend specific brewing methods for each cup of coffee. It produces a richer, less acidic and more natural tasting cup of coffee, especially for those of us who drink it black. Unfortunately, at all hours of the day, now that it's summer, teenagers loiter and hang around inside and out causing you to have to push through just to get in the door. In the winter they crowd around the fireplace in the rear. On the plus side there is a good amount of seating in the back and the bathrooms are usually clean even with the large influx of customers and kids. Would be nicer if there was a good coffee shop along Main, but I have yet to find one. Parking on the street (if you can find a spot). read more

I have spent a lot of time at a lot of different Starbucks cafes. This one is spot on with most things: speed, courtesy, consistency, and seating. There are rarely any issues except during a busy time where seating may be an issue, otherwise its a true to form example of what people have come to expect from this chain. read more

We all know Starbucks coffee is awesome. Blonde Roast, Dark Roast, awesome Lattes, pretty decent tea selection, it's always good. I give the drinks and food rating a 5 out of 5. However, I have spent a great amount of time at this location logging in some serious study hours. In the Winter time I need to wear gloves and several layers if I am going to sit by the window. You can literally feel the ice cold wind chill through the windows. I don't know if there is an insulation issue or what, but the fireplace is not producing enough heat to keep me warm! It's frustrating! Sometimes I literally take breaks from my comfy chair just to warm up at the fire. Parking sucks too, sometimes I will circle the block three or four times and in those attempts if I can't find a spot I'll opt for drive through Dairy Barn coffee, such a travesty. read more

We went on a Sunday evening. It was a beautiful location. First, it's huge as compared to most Starbucks. The store is not super wide but is very long. It has a lot of seating towards the glass windows along the street. Second, it looks very nice inside and has tables for folks to work at. Parking was a bit difficult -- I parked in a municipal lot up the street. It said "3 Hours." I honestly could not figure out if that was for free or paid. The baristas made the drinks well. My only complaint is that there was a Sunday NYTimes that took up a couple of chairs. That could have been cleaned up, and it gave the impression that cleaning was not regular. Some can say that one franchise place like Starbucks is just like any other, and there may be some similarities but there is also really good customer care that goes on here in addition to the drinks. My favorite drink of choice is the Iced Amerciano with room, it only took ordering two or three times before the barista recognized me and now any time I go in, even if it's a week or two later she will call out my order to me as I walk in the door. We are residents and love the village. Have been Starbucks customers for years. But as of this summer a harmonica player sits outside the store on weekends using an amplifier - it's so loud you can't even stand near the store, and can hear his drone from a block away. Street music in an arts town is great. But musicians using amps playing loudly destroy the experience for people who want to enjoy their town. Perhaps the Town Board might consider allowing Public Safety to issue warnings to anyone using an amp on a public street, followed by a ticket if necessary.
