There were toddlers and preschoolers in the restaurant with their families, so I asked the waitress to please change the channel. She looked at me like I was crazy and told me that she didn't understand what my problem was. I explained that there were graphic photos of people and crime scenes that aren't suitable for children, or really anyone else trying to enjoy their meal. That issue non-withstanding, I still don't think Over Easy is worth choosing over Hatch or Munday's. The wait for us was 20 minutes, which is the same for pretty much every other place in Huntington. It's also very small, so as a result the tables are extremely close together. We were seated in the middle of the floor, with waitstaff passing through very frequently on both sides. We had to constantly tuck ourselves in and watch our backs to avoid getting an elbow in the face. Our food tasted alright, but there were several issues. We both got variations of eggs benedict. I got the avocado BLT benedict, with avocado, tomato, arugula, bacon, and hollandaise on top of ciabatta. It tastes good, and I especially liked how orange and healthy the poached egg yolk was. However the ciabatta was pretty badly burnt. My boyfriend got the "classic" eggs benedict, which was served over toasted sourdough bread. This bread was ridiculous, over an inch thick and impossible to cut through without shaking the table and making a crummy mess. I would've thought the classic eggs benedict would be eggs with Canadian bacon over an English muffin; this one was just not the best.

The elegance is nice. Service (4/5): Understanding that the restaurant was extremely busy this day, we did not get the best service. They forgot to give us the table bread which we had to ask for after our appetizers came. They knew we were sharing everything so it was nice that they had pre-sliced everything and provided us sharing plates during the meal. Food (4/5): This is review is specific for their Mother's Day fixed prix menu ($125/pp which btw is $115 for Father's day 2026). Sad to say overall, the price point was not worth the food we received, as it was way overpriced. Potato bread (6/5): This is one of the best table bread I've ever had--the softness and flavors are so good that I would sacrifice stomach space for 5 servings of this! Use the leftover butter for your steaks! Blue Point Oysters (5/5): Super fresh! Delicious Lobster shrimp wontons (4/5): Wonderful presentation just okay on flavor. Lukewarm upon serving. Red Roof Roll (4/5): The portion of fish was pretty generous! Tasted fresh as well. They were out of the 38oz porterhouse for 2 by 7p. New York Strip Steak (4/5): Cooked as requested, however not enough fat to make it melt in your mouth as the cuts were a bit too tough. The dry aged taste was great. Filet Mignon (4/5): I don't think this piece was as good as I remember. It needed their house steak sauce to give the dish any flavor. Pork Tenderloin with Carrot Puree sauce (2/5): Each piece was tough, not much flavor to it, carrot sauce did not give it any more flavor. Scottish Salmon (5/5): This was my favorite dish of the 4; it was juicy and had lots of flavor to the butter sauce. Crème Brule and cheesecake were wonderful. The carrot cake was dry and half of it was leftover.

I highly recommend sitting outside if the weather allows it because it made the experience that much better. 10/10 and I will be back here the next time I am in NY.

Subbed cheddar for smoke Gouda and added bacon. HOLY HELL. This burrito brought up emotions I haven't felt for a breakfast in centuries. Warm and melty, it wasn't like any of these greasy, wet, fat covered offerings from other delis or breakfast shops around the island. Or that I've had in NY in general. They chopped the bacon, which let's be serious here, is the only way to do it. Eggs were fluffy, light. Cheese was nothing short of smoked magnificence. But the pièce de résistance, the glue that brings your taste buds to their knees, the tots. If you don't like tots, you're wrong. And these tots were somehow crispy and soft. No oil, no sog. The chipotle sauce brings it all home and then they grill the whole damn thing and serve it to you on a platter of gold and diamonds. At least that's how it felt. Do I recommend this? We got the butternut squash which sounded very fancy on the menu but was just butternut squash with a piece of fried prosciutto stuck in each portion on top of cacio e pepe sauce which by the way was broken. We also got what we thought was going to be artichokes on a bed of arugula but was mostly arugula with a few small pieces of artichoke and some pistachios. Again, I could have made that at home. I got the lemon shrimp linguine. I liked the pasta, I liked the sauce, I did not like the shrimp that came with it. They were tiny and maybe boiled, just not great. We also had the ravioli. One big extremely dense ravioli, raviolo or whatever a singular one is technically called. It was ok but so dense and rich. We also had the bolognese. Not the best. For the prices we paid we expected greatness. We each had dessert. So for the 3 of us the bill came to almost $300 with tip. I personally felt like the service did not warrant the tip but we left it anyway. We weren't checked on, we had to wait a long time to get the bill and we paid by phone app. The service wasn't great. I think the best part of the entire night was the little bucket of candy that we got with the check. The gummy butterfly was delicious! No, we won't be back.
