I have to say by far this is one of the best Starbucks around. The baristas here are always friendly, the deployment is well executed, and the quality of the drinks are always on point. Thank you to the morning team for always being so awesome! Some of the negative reviews on here are people who expects way too much and are impatient, sometimes they are understaffed or just randomly gets busy at times. The baristas are people and they also have bad days, if you don't want to risk waiting a little bit longer then make your own damn coffee at home! They don't need your business anyways and your negative attitude. And the parking? It's not even that bad, even when it's during busy hours. Just walk a little you probably need it anyway! read more

Recently went in this Starbucks at 10AM on a Saturday and asked for a Half-Caf. The lady working the register said they are no longer brewing decaf but could do a pour over. I asked if the pour over could be made decaf and she said no, visibly irritated. I then asked for a decaf americano (being a former barista this is the de facto option and normally you charge the customer what they originally asked for. It's not my fault Stabucks advertises decaf but doesnt brew it after 10AM only to up charge their customers for americanos). I ended paying over $3.50 for a mediocre half-caf americano. I've never liked Starbucks coffee, particularly the Pike which is 2x the normal caffeine ( gee wonder why....) but frequented Starbucks for its convenience and consistency. I emailed corporate about this incident only to get radio silence. I guess Starbucks is big enough not to care about their customers. I'll be getting my coffee elsewhere from now on. read more

I'm a regular here every weekday. I place my order through mobile app approximately 8 minutes away. I've never had a problem but today my order was not processed. As usually, I placed my orders at 6:15am and they estimated 5-7min prep time. I arrived at 6:23 and I did not see my coffee so I asked the barista if she remembered making a tall caramel macchiato, because it's possible someone may have taken it. She said it's probably coming up so I patiently waited a few more minutes and still did not see it. So I went to the register and explained I placed this order 10 minutes ago online. They checked and My cup was just recently placed in queue to be made. I told them I didn't have time to wait otherwise I was going to be late to work, so I cancelled it and requested a refund. When this happens, they usually offer an apology or and a gift card for the inconvenience. Today they didn't offer either. I hope their service doesn't continue Down this slippery slope. read more

Standard Starbucks as far as coffee shops goes. This review is mainly for service and location/parking. Service: Baristas are always friendly and gets your order out in a reasonable time given how busy this location gets. Can't complain. Location: Great if you work nearby within walking distance. Sucks if you're driving and have to find parking. Evenings are a crapshoot, especially since it's situated next to Ruth Chris and North Italia and the parking fills up around it. You might have to take a couple laps around the parking lot to find a spot or park across the street in the structure (which is free - under 2 hours) read more

It's time for scathing review Sunday. I came in here on a Saturday evening (9/10/16) 10-15 min before closing and instead of being greeted by usual warm smiles and cheery faces per usual at 99% of other Sbux, I was greeted by a sullen looking cashier and a barista girl giving me the stink eye. The cashier guy was busy divvying up the left over baked goods while the barista, who continued to stare at me intently... didn't even call out my order correctly when she gave it to me... And I was the only one there. The latte I ordered came out weak, watered down tasting and very milky. Previously I had stopped by a month prior during midday also on a Saturday, and the macchiato I ordered then came out the same. I visit enough Sbux to know that's not the standard, and it's pretty disappointing. It's a shame because I live right by this Sbux and wish this was my go to coffee fix, but I drive further out in search of better coffee and service. Seriously, it's worth it, and not sure why this place has 4 stars. Sure it's in a new plaza and has a nice patio...but what else does it have going for it? Nothing. Go to any other Sbux in the area because this one is shitty and the increasing level of crappiness I experience when I come here is mind baffling. But I'm even more disconcerted that this place has got people giving 4-5 star reviews. Pull the wool over your eyes people, don't settle for milky and watered down coffee and lackluster service. This is my go-to Starbucks, as it is right next door to my complex I would actually be sad if I ever moved haha. I love the employees here. They are always friendly and happy to serve you. I have gotten to know the longer term ones over time and they actually have my drink ready before I even reach the front of the line. The shop itself recently underwent a remodel an looks a lot nicer. They added a bigger outdoor area with a sitting bar. They also changed the inside, and added more seating which is nice, as this location gets busy. Only con is the parking at times. As much as IC has tried to change and redo the parking it is still a nightmare anytime around lunch or dinner, so be prepared. read more

This Starbucks rocks! Any of the reviews below five stars are just sour grapes. Seriously. The entire staff is friendly. They are always in a great mood. They are extremely reliable and efficient. If you're a regular they get to know you and take good care of you. The people who leave bad reviews just don't know how to speak up, I guess. They also have a customer service number, people. When reading the opinions, realize that opinions are like a$$holes...everyone has one. Went to this Starbucks last Sunday morning before a round of golf. The place was really quiet. I can't remember the last time I saw such an empty Starbucks in my life. I think this place must be packed during the week because of its proximity to office buildings but on the weekend there is no one there. I got my normal summer drink of iced grande non-fat caramel macchiato which was prepared just like all the other starbucks I have ever been to which is good enough to drink. They have outside seating which is nice. They have free wi-fi which is good and I would probably stop by again if I am ever in irvine again. read more

It's a Starbucks, so you know what you're going to get. The trick of the review is in the location. This one is tucked in to the Irvine Marketplace next to a Rubio's and a White House Black Market. There's plenty of outside seating, some of it shaded and if you want to soak up some rays do people watching -- it's a great spot. If you want to maybe get some work done, the inside of this store is small. There's a bar-like set up with about 6 chairs against the window --- that's it. And outlets....not sure there were any for changing, but maybe that's just in my part of the table. It's also fairly packed mid-afternoon. So, I guess this wouldn't be your place to camp out, drink coffee and work. read more

This Starbucks is a hit or miss. Sometimes the service is superb and the drinks come out perfectly, others it seems like your order was unheard and they whip up their own concoction. If you're looking to come here before or after work, forget about it! The indefinite construction they have going on here will make grabbing a quick coffee the most arduous task of the day! Also, they have the weirdest hours; I think they close at 8 or 9pm on some nights, earlier during the summer? I don't know, you better call just to make sure. Only upside is that there is plenty of outdoor seating, some indoors, and as always free wifi. I just left this awful place with the worst customer service. I was appalled at the managers service. I asked about a decaf ice coffee she said she could get me macchiato decaf and charge me more. I said I'll will have a decaf coffee she then said it would be a pour over and take 5 min I hesitated because I had someone waiting in the car. I paid and a young man behind the counter who looked frazzled and had many orders had my order. I saw him put the filter with the coffee in it. He walked 5faway to attend to other drinks. He did not put hot water in it just walked away. I asked for a mgr and the girl said I'm the manager she said well he has other drinks ahead of yours! .with an attitude that's where I was not happy She was rude and did not even apologize I have never seen such awful customer service. I said just give me money back she refused to give me cash. I left without my coffee after 15 minutes of waiting. I cane back in with my Friend I told the young guy making the drinks I'd like my coffee. He started to put the beans in a filter set it down and walked away. We did not say a thing but it was really a joke and so awful. He came back to put water in it and left and cane back 2 more times by the time I got the drink it was. I am a die hard fan of Starbucks coffee! My favorite drink is the White Chocolate Mocha, hot, nonfat milk, no whip. By taking out the fat and a little sugar, the espresso can bite. I don't know what this barista did to my drink, but it was the smoothest drinking WCM I've ever had! Now that I'm frequently in the area, this Starbucks will be my first stop. read more

This is a Starbucks, and it has a set of corporate standards to meet. I think it does this with their products, and speedy but friendly staff. It would be nice to see a little differentiation from the Starbucks norm. One way in my opinion, is to be more conscientious of the little area with sugars, napkins, creams, etc. Like all Starbucks I have been to, this always seems to get depleted and out of sorts quickly when the place is busy. Maybe giving this area more attention during busy times would help? As for the quality of the coffee beans, roasting, etc., it is Starbucks and in no way should it reflect on a single location, unless they are somehow compromising the expected product. I go to Starbucks and expect Starbucks coffee, not the taste of another vendor. When I want another taste, I go to the other vendor. I had the best experience at this Starbucks location. This review is about Gabby. Gabby exudes positivity, warmth and I have observed this on numerous occasions. I have been coming to this location in the mornings before school for over a year. She would greet me with a warm smile and remembered my drink. After a while, we exchanged short meaningful conversations. I recently graduated and I had not seen her in a while because I was not getting up at the same early morning hours. I recently went to your store and she remembered my voice in the drive through and then remembered my name. I was shocked. I said, This is the power of good customer service, you are amazing Gabby!" This location is the most convenient to where I live so I tend to stop either on my way to work or home from work when in need of a sweet treat or caffeine. I have always found the baristas to be friendly and welcoming. My order is always prompt and correct, no complaints! Deducting one star because parking can be a bit of an issue in this shopping complex, during high-traffic times there are workers directing traffic since there are office buildings adjacent to the shopping complex. Because of the parking, it is often easier to drive a little further to get my Starbucks fix rather than deal with the parking lot. read more
