Slow AF, like 25 minutes with a line 9f 3 people, then the cashier disappears for 10 minutes... wtf?

I was (still am at heart) a Starbucks partner for 5 years, and every time I go to this store, I notice something is wrong. I get a London Fog tea latte and they always forget the vanilla. Today, I go in to get that drink with oat milk (so good) and they FAILED to tell me they were out of earl grey and they didn't even ask me if I wanted something else. Instead, I went to my car and sipped it, noticed something was off, and saw it was with English Breakfast, which I'm not a fan of. I went in to get something else and I noticed they even made a venti iced vanilla latte with an extra pump of vanilla wrong...they didn't even stir in the espresso shots. It's a busy store, but it's not a store that knows beverage routine and knows how to make drinks. Such a shame. read more

No standard here. I ordered "starbucks double shot on ice" here almost 7days a week after I moved since it's the closest one. It's been 2months and never once had I ever gotten a correct drink. I'm DISAPPOINTED. Smh. Sometimes I got 2shots of espresso. Sometimes I got 2 shots of expresso with vanilla syrup. Sometimes I got ice latte. Sometimes I got a bland ice coffee where 99% of it is milk. So it's like you pay $4 for cold milk. All I need is a shaken iced coffee with classic syrup with 2%milk..... Barista there should learn their drinks already? No? I don't know why they can't make the correct one....since all other locations I go to seem to know their drinks pretty well. This location is usually good, unfortunately my last app order was slightly incorrect. They added cinnamon to one of the drinks in my order, while to me it tasted delicious my girlfriend is allergic to cinnamon and could not drink her drink. Each Starbucks location differs from one another based on their baristas. You assume that they would all be uniform but if you're a regular, like me, you can spot the little differences that differentiate each place. The morning crew makes this place extra special for me. Outside of small town mom+pop shops (almost non-existent in SouthOC), where else are you going to find such great people??? They know what I like and how I like it. This location has some of the worst customer service. Baristas don't acknowledge guests with any greeting or offer assistance at mobile pick up. Today female barista made and placed 3 separate orders in mobile pick up without reading names or even making eye contact with the guests waiting for their drinks. Each time I've come in my order is ready and I have to wait 5 min before anyone speaks to a guest. If you don't shout and ask for your drink you will be waiting a long time. read more

Two words: parking Nazis. The Starbucks itself is fine, small, but a nice amount of outdoor seating. However the Italian restaurant has declared almost all of the parking off limits for their valet. Even on a quiet Sunday afternoon, restaurant nearly empty, parking lot nearly empty, but almost no spaces to park for Starbucks customers. And the spaces that are there are 30 minutes max, and there's a grumpy looking security guy patrolling to make sure nobody overstays their welcome. read more

The employees at this Starbucks just don't care about their customers. I go to Starbucks multiple times a day, this one was the worst in a long time. I had a free drink on my app and the jerk behind the counter took the cheapest drink off my order. When I questioned him about he said " egh well I took a drink off" while rolling his eyes and looking at his co worker. When I got my breakfast sandwich the sandwich completely was fallen apart. The English muffin was in pieces egg whites were loose in the bag. The jerk with attitude agreed to remake it. The cold brew I ordered was not made properly either. Adrianne sold me a deformed cake pop and when I pulled it out of the bag to show to her asking for a replacement, she said let me ask my supervisor. Ok, no problem. Supervisor Andy came out smiling in my face saying well we can't sell this one again , so I can't give you another one. Andy's solution was for me to 1. Buy another one or 2. Come back tomorrow to speak to another manager. All while saying this to me he was smiling and laughing. WOW! Excellent customer service skills young man with no regard for customer satisfaction or respect for customer time. On top of that, Adrianne walked away rolling her eyes at me not even wanting to hear me out when I was showing her the deformed cake pop and pointing out that the rest of them were normal when she was trying to tell me all of them look like that . Very weird and disrespectful behavior from these two. Every other cake pop was normal looking, it was a simple fix. Not sure why they disregarded quality control and respect for customers. Nessa was so sweet, I happened to mess up my drink order on the mobile app and she was so nice about it and remade the drink without charging me. Most of the time if there is a mistake with a a drink you get huff and puff and possibly some attitude about it, there was none of that from her. This is the BEST Starbucks in Irvine! (& I've been to a lot of Starbucks!) The staff is so beyond friendly, never rude. Always a huge welcome at the door from at least 1 or more people. I've never asked a question that the employees didn't know the answer to! Arie is my favorite! A lot of them know myself and maaaany others by name, which means they care about being personable with their customers! Which I freaking love! Nothing like great service from a smiling face who actually enjoys being at their job! The drinks are always PERFECT, it's always clean & they are quick with your order! OK... I would prefer to support a local coffee shop but there is nothing like that within walking distance to my work. So, out of desperation I will make a run to a Starbucks. Now, I know that Starbucks has those yummy breakfast sandwiches but for the longest time this location didn't. This location being the one in Park Plaza. You know where Mothers Market, Symposium Wine Bar, CPK, Houston's, Ruth's Steak House, Empire Salon and Bare Tan and much much more. That big plaza.. So, anyhow I am a little over the hippie food at Mothers. All though I do dearly love it. I just wanted something different. This Starbucks location now serves up those warm breakfast sandwiches. I used to be bummed when I would order a croissant and asked if they could warm it up and their answer was a "sorry, no oven".. Now they have that oven and I was rather pleased when I was able to pick up breakfast yesterday morning. I had the reduced fat turkey sandwich.. So, yes I am happy that they have the oven now. Those breakfast sandwiches are tasty... Oh.. They also have oatmeal now. In my opinion I think that it is lame to spend $3 and some change when you can easily pack a bag of instant oatmeal and some nuts and slice up fresh fruit and eat that... I don't know.. While not MY Starbucks, this is a really good one. The hubby and I carpool, quaint right? We carpool to save gas moolah, not to save the earth. So this locale is close to hubby's work. Friendly efficient workers who also are good baristas! Watch out for the 15 minute spot car checkers/markers! They will give you a b.s. ticket. This is a busy center and a busy Starbucks, so parking can be a bitch-kitty. I know there are many Starbucks haters out there, but I am definitely not drinking that haterade! Okay Okay... So Starbucks is a huge corporation that makes a noticeable dent in my bank statement every month, but that doesn't seem to faze me because I keep going back on the regular! This particular location has become my lifeline because it is right across the street from the office that I work in. This makes getting Starbucks so easy and convenient, but ultimately it becomes very dangerous to my wallet. I love the staff at this Starbucks because they are always so friendly and make the effort to remember the names of all the regulars. I'm always amazed at their ability to remember names and drink orders! My white chocolate mocha (extra hot) always tastes great! I can come here and always know that I'm going to get a delicious extra hot cup of comfort. I love it. On mornings where I am starving more than usual, I crab a sausage breakfast sandwich or a banana walnut loaf. Their sandwiches are delicious, but I can never finish them because they are large in size especially for breakfast! It can get very busy at this location because of all the offices located in the area, but the staff does a great job of handling the lines that go beyond the doors! This past weekend, my folks came down because my sister had a business conference thing in Irvine. We meet at the Starbucks in Irvine where Jamboree Rd. and Michelson Dr. connect. It's the shopping center that has Sport Chalet, Mother's Market, CPK, Ruth Chris Steakhouse, Fatburger, and Wahoo's. (Can you tell I've been there a lot). Anyway, it's the typically Starbucks Coffee shop with a never disappearing short line, overworked baristas, a single bathroom, and tons of people sitting around on laptops. My question Is Starbucks great coffee or just a status thing? I ask only because it is the exact question that always comes to my mind (and I'm assuming a lot of others) when they dish out $5 for a Starbucks coffee. When you really think about it, 90% of my Caramel Frappuccino is water, then there's a little syrup, a little Starbucks coffee, and tons of sugar. None of those ingredients together cost very much, yet we still pay it. At least, some of us do. So what are we paying for? I've been ordering my Caramel Frappucino since jr. high school, and probably single-handedly bought enough of them to build my own Starbucks. I guess what I'm saying is that I do think it is great coffee. The question then becomes, does the great taste rationalize the cost. I would say that two years ago it did. Times have changed since then, including the weight of my unemployed wallet. There's been copy cats recently striving to take a small cut of Starbucks business. Both McDonalds and NrGize have similar cold coffee drinks that taste nearly identical to the Caramel Frappucino. Trust me, I would know. The costs of these alternative are far cheaper nevermind the similar ingredients, but they don't come in the beautiful cup you see in the picture on my blog. That green iconic symbol of status that can be so prominently displayed as you walk to school or into the office without feeling any sense of boasting or bragging. That cup will just sit in front of you, on your desk, all day telling the world that you still can spend $5 a day....25 dollars a week...100 dollars a month....1200 dollars a year for that morning cup of joy that others, like myself, simply can't. Placed a mobile order at 6:54AM this morning. Got to Starbucks within 2 minutes. Received my coffee at 7:20AM. There were a whopping 7 customers in the shop. Customer service? non-existent. I get that there are other mobile orders that need attending, but when a customer that placed a mobile is physically there before the others, they ought to receive their order first. I didn't think a simple Americano was THAT time consuming. It'll probably take me a whole 7 minutes to learn how to make, and execute, an Americano. Very professional crowd here, and a great location, except for the parking. Luckily most of the patrons here are from nearby office buildings, so that's not a worry for them. Open airy layout, with lots of windows, which means not many plugs for electronics. Mother's Market is nearby, with much better food items than you'll find here. read more

Stopped in to do a bit of work on my laptop and have coffee. Ordered my usual, regular coffee with a couple shots of vanilla. Usually this is 2$ even, sometimes 2 and a little change. She charged me 3. Wasn't in the mood to go back and fourth as her english was not the best. Great atmosphere, clean and mostly corporate professionals. Right next to a sushi place. A good place to work. If all you need is an hour you will be validated. I was there about 2 hrs and paid 10$ for parking. I had other business in the same structure next to the Marriot so the parking was a write off for me. May go again but will make a note to keep it under an hour. read more

This place is In a cool spot and has a good size, but it sucks that there isn't more seating inside. Everytime I come it's packed and the seating inside is taken! The staff is really friendly and the line goes by fast. Prices are..well Starbucks prices. A little too high for coffee. Their pastries are ok. I like the pastries they had before their new La Boulange Bakery came! These aren't as good and doesn't have a good variety. I have to say by far this is one of the best Starbucks around. The baristas here are always friendly, the deployment is well executed, and the quality of the drinks are always on point. Thank you to the morning team for always being so awesome! Some of the negative reviews on here are people who expects way too much and are impatient, sometimes they are understaffed or just randomly gets busy at times. The baristas are people and they also have bad days, if you don't want to risk waiting a little bit longer then make your own damn coffee at home! They don't need your business anyways and your negative attitude. And the parking? It's not even that bad, even when it's during busy hours. Just walk a little you probably need it anyway! read more
