This is a crowded campus location, so the cheerfulness and speed of service is especially helpful and impressive. What can look like a long line out the door goes through quickly and drinks are delivered promptly. It's great to have this location easily accessible from so many campus classrooms and offices. This is a walk in and walks​ out Starbucks located at the Paul Merage School of Business by the Social Science parking structure. There are seatings available outside and some umbrellas for the sun. The service is fairly quick but the space of this Starbucks is fairly small, you might find yourself lining up outside against the wall of the facility or waiting for the drinks outside. What I like is that the line is not usually long like the one by the bookstore. I usually come here for water and it is great they have multiple locations to take care of student's/staffs' thirst. What I did not like was when I order a drink, and the barista ended up charging me for something else. But other than that I prefer to come here than the other locations. It is also fairly small as well, so if they could have expanded a little bit bigger would be better. Other than that I recommend​ this location! read more

Oh wow - MUCH NICER Starbucks than the one next to the Student Center if you don't want to go to the one across the street. The building itself is only one or two years old, so this Starbucks is brand new. It's layout is a bit odd, the store itself is shaped like a triangle - the "store" side is ^-shaped while there is a glass wall where the customers line up. It's a bit narrow in there, but they make it happen. The fact that this location is sooo far away from the hustle and bustle of the main part of campus is I think it's best kept secret. There was a line here as well, but it wasn't nearly as bad as the one you see ALL THE TIME at the Student Center Starbucks, and despite the line, it still managed to move much quicker here. One thing I noticed was that the employees help each other out and work as a team - when things got busy, every employee back there was doing *something* - whether it was picking up drinks or helping out at the register, etc. the one at the Student ctr, even during busy times, the person who I'm thinking is a lead or manager based on her dress would just sorta chill in the back. They ran outta Venti cold cups here when I stopped by today. The gal offered my drink in the form of two Talls instead. Pastries/cold entrees are well stocked here. My drink came out fine and tasted fine. There is PLENTY of seating outside the cafe, outside the business school, inside the business school (where you'll find Au Bon Pain) - so plenty of places to enjoy your drink and relax. read more

Ahhh, they finally opened a second Starbucks on campus. And it's conveniently closer to my apartment and all of my classes! Thank you, Paul Merage School of Business for opening this second location! I recognize one of the managers from the other Starbucks on campus at this one, so I know that things are in good hands. Before class Around 10:50-10:55am I went to order a simple green tea latte with coconut milk no foam. As you can tell the barista attending me had trouble writing the correct order down. When I received my order and noticed it was wrong I repeated my order. I asked her no need to remake it just add more coconut milk (that I paid extra for), since it had about an inch missing of milk due to the no foam. She denied my request and said she couldn't give me more milk (which I paid extra for). I visit Starbucks almost every day in which ever city I am in and never have I been denied for something I paid extra for. @ Starbucks so unfair and wish you didn't hire baristas with attitude problem. read more

I'll start with the pros: INCREDIBLY CONVENIENT (right outside my office) GREAT STAFF (friendly, fast, professional) FAST SERVICE (staff can service a crazy long line before you even get a chance to finish messaging your new Bumble match) IMPECCABLY CLEAN (even though it's super busy all the time) So in sum - the staff rocks and is super fast even during the rush that is basically happening every second. It's the most convenient coffee shop to my office and they make my drinks perfect (or remake them to perfect) every time. The cons: Why is this Starbucks WAY more $$ than every other Starbucks around? Expect to pay at least 20% more for the exact same thing across the street. They have breakfast sandwiches (which I love) but tend to run out of the vegetarian options before breakfast time is over. Who does the ordering here??? Refill policy is obnoxious - no free refills and you get one refill within one hour and you need to keep your receipt. It would be nice to at least get two hours because by the time you wait in the line for the drink and put your sugar in your coffee the hour is almost up. read more

This is the better Starbucks on Campus. Great staff, fast service, clean, and convenient. This one doesn't have indoor seating like the one by Student Center but at least there's no ridiculous wait. I'm so sick of the wait at the Student Center location. The line always extends out the door but really, the wait for your drink is only about 5 minutes. The staff here is so friendly and accommodating. If you need help with teas, they have a chart to show you and they'll take the time to explain it to you. I love the outside seating with their soft cushions and such. There's also plenty of seating near Au Bon Pain so no worries! Love coming here right before class! read more

I was starting to like this starbucks location but today made me furious. I came to campus early in hopes to study for my exam and get an ice coffee sweetened and with soy. But that is not what happened. First of all I was paying with my app which still had money on it but for some reason the cashier couldn't figure it out. Fine I don't mind, I get it she hadn't learned it. My drink comes out and the male worker who made my drink added regular milk instead of soy. Okay fine. It happens I can get over it. But when asked he didn't remember and it was hard to get my drink remade which I don't understand because I paid the 60 cents for there to be soy in it. Once they remade the drink there were chunks of soy milk in it. But I didn't really care about it. As long as my drink tasted the way it needed to taste. And that is exactly what didn't happen. This time they forgot to put sweetener in it. And it was hard for them to remake it the first time. So I simply had enough. I walked to the other starbucks and waited in line for 20+ mins just to finally get my drink made correctly. Now I would have talked to the manager at the first starbucks but she was occupied and wasn't in the store. Overal, I dislike this starbucks because of their customer service. I spent more time getting a dayum drink then I did preparing for my exam. Kudos starbucks kudos. read more

I prefer this Starbucks over the location next to the bookstore because the wait time is so much faster and there aren't as many people that go to this one. The workers here are friendly and apologize for the wait even if it hasn't even been that long. My coffee is always good here and they make sick tea perfectly! At the other location on campus they take super long to make even the most simplest orders. Even when I order breakfast sandwiches with my coffee it doesn't take long. The only con is that this one in particular is small and there is little waiting room or space where you add extras to your coffee. It would be nice to have a little elbow room when waiting! read more

It's so new right now, they often either mess up your order, or take a lifetime to make it. I come here every morning, because it's on my way to class. I'm personally too lazy to walk to another one, so if you're willing to be nice to the new baristas and give them some practice, it gets the job done. Since the location is new, it's super nice and pretty. The couches and tables are also sparkly new and not falling apart. No seats inside, only outside, but I kind of like that! Overall, give it a couple more months to brew, and it'll be a great location :) read more

The wait here is a lot better than the Starbucks at the student center. Vicki is the manager there and she's very kind and understanding. She used to work at the other Starbucks but moved over from the student center! I enjoy their service and the quality of their drinks. Okay don't get me wrong, I love Starbucks. I get drinks literally every other day. However, I've noticed that employees at this Starbucks location work in an extremely inefficient manner. I usually order an Iced White Mocha with no whip, and for those who don't know how its made, they first pump some white chocolate syrup into your cup and put it under the espresso machine. They leave the cup there since it takes time for the espresso come out of the machine. Most times they walk away from the machine to multitask on other things, which is understandable. The problem is when the espresso is almost done, employees here will start another task and just leave the drink sitting there... like just finish the drink and then start ur new task, why are you trying to to start a new task when you have other tasks waiting to be finished. It just increases the length of the queue and causes and massive build up in the line. read more

I usually get a smiley face next to my name on their cup. I wonder if this is their secret code for someone who is low maintenance. This starbucks is inside the UCI campus. I come here pretty often. It's clean, there is no indoor seating, the workers here are more efficient and better trained than the ones at student center. The wait time is shorter. I recommend coming here to fill up on free hot or iced water if you have your own cup. The water and ice here is delicious.
