Most unfriendly cashier I've ever met at a Starbucks. How does that happen at a Marriott?

Whats better than Starbucks in the morning? Starbucks on the beach in Maui!!! The views of the beach just don't get any better. Outdoor patio seating area overlooking Kaanapili Beach. Long lines go fast with the hard working staff. Very friendly and efficient. Full Starbucks menu including pastries and sandwiches. Yes it's about 20% more than stateside but worth it. An elevator ride down if you stay at the Maui Ocean Club. read more

I am in love with Starbucks..... I mean what can I say, I'm from Seattle. This Starbucks was not my cup of Coffee. It's not even real for that matter. They are owned by Marriott and don't have all the amenities as a real one has. For example, I tried to refill my Gold card with cash and they could not add any money to it. The people inside were kinda low key and didn't really try to be friendly. I think they just wanted us out. Also its kinda slow. We were the only people inside and there should have been more customer service. Oh, and its more expensive than a regular Starbucks. An extra shot costs $.90 cents instead of $.50. read more

The prices are elevated. But you cannot get the view at any other Starbucks! Highly recommended and great job to Starbucks to build on property near the ocean. read more

Probably the Starbucks with the best views of any Starbucks worldwide. Outdoor seating is great, service is slow...but most likely you are on vaca so take in the view and enjoy your cup of coffee. read more

Despite their claims of being a full-service Starbucks they really are not. The drinks are fine, customer service is hit and miss. Fast Baristas but very slow cashiers. Drinks were done before the transactions were complete, and some employees don't speak English very well. My biggest frustration is that they don't allow you to redeem your free drinks that you accumulate with your purchases. They will TAKE THE CARD for purchases but not allow you to redeem your rewards. We had been saving up our free drinks just for this trip! If you want really good coffee go into town and visit Mauigrown! read more

Great location, great atmosphere but all outweighed by the negatives...The prices are outrageous, the options are limited and well, it's a Starbucks giving you mediocre coffee in a land known for great coffee. It's ok for what it is, but definitely not the best option in town. read more

Standard Starbucks apart from the gorgeous ocean front view! Located on the Kaanapali boardwalk, it's part of the Marriott property. Notably, they have nice tables for you to relax and enjoy your coffee outside. Be sure to avoid the lines during morning rush hour if at all possible. The lines do move fairly quickly, but it would be awesome if this establishment took advantage of the online ordering features provided by the Starbucks app. read more

Slow service. No mobile ordering. They do not let you redeem your stars for a free coffee. They were out of stamps and mugs for almost a week. We were looking for a mug for Xmas and they would hardly help us. We went back on the day they received their order and they still didn't have it. Asked if other Starbucks had them and they said they didn't know. Asked if they could help us contact a nearby location to help find it and they said they didn't know the number. Weren't very helpful and said they couldn't look up the number. Bad and lazy customer service. This location also ran out of coffee cream. They made no effort to restock their inventory while waiting for their next shipment. Very poorly managed. read more

Same good cold brew coffee as usual. But prices were super high. I get a Starbucks mug every city I go to. This one was almost 20$ compared to the one in the airport I got for 9.95$. read more

Awesome time there it was perfect everything about it from sugar to tea and napkins to coffee. Nothing could of made it any better. I loved sitting outside on the couches the view was outstanding! There food/drinks were amazing. It did take them a little time to get it ready so they were really nice about it. I loved the coffee a lot! This is simply the prettiest Starbucks in the world. It's part of the Marriott resort, and right in front of the shop are tables and chairs with unobstructed vistas of the channel and the huge volcanic cone of Lanai. It's a wonderful feeling to sit here with a coffee and watch the sun come up or go down. read more

Be careful if you get the gluten free sandwich-- it took them like 3 times to get it right.

I never usually write reviews on anything, but I just had to write one on here. I work at a coffee shop, so where I live, I need to have coffee or some type of drink everyday to get me going. The first day I come in, I greet the cashier with, "Hello! How are you?" and I get no response just a mug basically telling me, "what do you want." It's key to have someone greet you nicely to make sure you have a good start to your day. Every day I visited this location to get a drink, and every day they were out of certain items. They were out of berry hibiscus, raspberry syrup and lemonade, which I add to certain drinks, out of strawberry purée for the strawberry banana smoothie, out of white chocolate mocha, and out of non sugar free vanilla for the caramel macchiato and I'm sure they were out of wayyyy more stuff I didn't ask for. I understand this location gets busy with all the tourists that stay around the area, but if you know a place gets busy, why don't you stock up more than expected? Other then bad customer service and not having ingredients in store, they don't accept rewards achieved on the Starbucks app! Be prepared to pay at least $2-3 more at this location (it's Hawaii) than any other local Starbucks location. Would not recommend this location unless you want to be treated as if you're not welcomed. Who knows? You may be lucky and have your drink available if they stocked up! read more

Liked so much I'm coming back this week. When there in May I loved having the Starbucks there 4 me that first morning. U know - the morning your jet lag stole last nights sleep. Opens at 5:30 :) Fast moving line, but when the line is out to the beach just wait a half hour and go back and the line is gone. Extremely convenient - more than worth a bit extra in the price. read more
