STARBUCKS @ 85TH KIRKLAND Absolutely love this store, always do drive thru, it's fast and efficient! Lines can be long and sometimes causing traffic because it's right in the middle of the parking lot. The inside is very modern and has a lot of seats if you want to do work. Drive thru was fast today however on a sunny afternoon on Wednesday. Always get the Mango Dragonfruit, it's so delicious and refreshing! They will charge you for water or a pup cup, so you do have to purchase something for this location. read more

I go to this Starbucks at least once every week, however service has gone downhill.... Usually the drinks I order taste amazing but today was not the day. Me and my friend places mobile orders for drive thru right before going through the drive thru to save time from ordering. We very politely said we have two mobile orders and told him our name, in response we got a lot of attitude telling us that it'll be a 5-10 minute wait in the line. No worries, we are aware that we placed them very last minute and I told him we are fine with that. We're sitting behind a car that's already at the window and wait about 3 minutes, he hands our drinks but forget a sandwich. No worries. I reverse very slowly but the car starts honking at me even tho I literally have a back up camera, no worries!!!! My friend reaches his hand through the back window then the man sternly tells us we have to go through the drive thru again, boy... that is another 20 minute wait. I decide to park and have my friend go inside to pick up the sandwich. This whole experience really threw me off, I've never been treated like this at this Starbucks location. This is the best normal Starbucks of them all. You know why? It's going to be open. In a city that famously shuts down at like 8PM this is a beacon of light in an otherwise lifeless night. If you need caffeine in your veins at 3AM, this location has you covered. People here are always nice and friendly too which suggests the management treats people pretty well. I hope. This review is strictly for the drive-thru. I have no idea what the interior of this place is like despite having come to the location for over a decade. But I'm sure it's fine. read more

Horrible place, the teenagers who work there are rude and disrespectful. I ordered a latte. It was too hot and burnt, but apparently burnt is the new standard so I was told.. God awful is how I describe this Starbucks location. I've gone here when the other stores in the area have longer lines and I regret it every time. 50% of my orders here have to be remade because they do it wrong. No sugar, means no sugar. Light ice means don't fill my ice tea with a whole cup of ice. The worst still was 2 coffees that tasted burnt. The staff is nice but the management team seems to treat the place like a personal hang out. Without a Starbucks id or uniform, I saw one manager go around the store asking for people Covid cards. I realized he was the manager because no one stopped him from going behind the counter or back area and telling people what to do. So glad to be moving away from this location. read more

This Starbucks is at a very busy location, on 85th Street in Kirkland nearer 405. Because it is on a main thoroughfare (85th) as well as near 405, near a high school, and in a wealthy suburbia WITH a drive-through, this store typically is extremely busy attracting high schoolers, moms with babies in car seats, and people going to work. The big problem is that numerous people turns south on 122nd Ave NE, then comes to a dead stop waiting for a left turn into this Starbucks. Meanwhile, all the people leaving their homes, trying to get to NE85th to get to 405 is blocking the turn. It's a MESS! Before COVID and "work/school from home", I would have said avoid this store at all cost. COVID removed a lot of that chaos. The Starbucks in Bridal Trails (132nd and Old Redmond Way/70th) has been remodeled so it now has a drive-through which also takes some of the load off. This store has the longest/latest hours amongst all others in the area. So for the evening, late visit, go here. The staff was always fine. The store itself is aging though and could use an update. I was put through HELL here. It was about 9pm one night and I was craving a little sweet treat if you know. And they had no CLUE how to make it right. I came inside and ordered a CREME caramel ribbon crunch Frappuccino. And they rung it up correctly and had it out within a couple minutes. It tasted fine but had a little bit of a funny flavor, never less I kept drinking it till I got about 3/4 of the way done and came to a realization. I tasted coffee, now I understand this is a Starbucks, but they have non caffeinated options which I ordered. It's also 9pm at night and if you don't know how to read a label I don't think you should be working here. After thinking my Frappuccino was coffee I decided to call the location and ask them about the drink. They told me that they apologized and indeed did put coffee in my drink then proceeded to ask if I wanted it remade. REMADE???? YOU JUST GAVE ME COFFE AT 9PM AT NIGHT I DRANK THE WHOLE THING, AND YOU THINK I WANT IT REMADE?????? Whoever made that drink needs to..... Anyways I got no sleep that night, was shaking and got violently ill due to my body not being used to that amount of caffeine at that time of day. I placed a mobile order today in order to save some time and went to the store only to find out that they closed the entire lobby and only allowed drive-thru. As usual, the drive thru line at this place was extremely long - about 10+ cars in line. We had to go to the end of the line and waited for about another 20 minutes. We skipped ordering since we've already done that. When we finally got to the window the barista told us, in a bad attitude, that next time we shouldn't skip the ordering system. I was already holding my temper and this really annoyed me, so I said we've already ordered but had to wait in another line. The barista seemed quite unhappy and she even said she saw me getting into the line just now and it wasn't long ago. I understand that they were short of staff and were very busy so it didn't feel very long for them, but for one who used their mobile ordering system in order to save time but got failed by it, that was a long time that was wasted. In summary, I think this place is too busy and short of friendly staff that if you'd like a low-risk experience don't go there. read more

Let me preface this review by saying I have recently developed horrendous acid reflux and until my meds start working, anything to eat or drink triggers heartburn that requires several unpalatable tums chews. That being said, I was seriously craving an iced green tea late so I caved - the pain and chewables were worth the fix for me.. until I got my drink. It wasn't busy at all so I definitely expected my drink to be made to an acceptable standard. I dropped in and walked out with my drink in a hurry and noticed that it was basically milk with a chunk of matcha powder dumped in it. Maybe stirred a couple of times. Every sip I take from the bottom has chunks of powder coming up - it's even stuck to the sides. All this even after stirring vigorously for the past 5 minutes. Iced green tea latte is one of my regular drinks and I've never had it botched like this before. I get that the powder doesn't dissolve as readily in iced drinks but literally no other barista has had a problem with that. This is just straight up laziness and really disappointing. Two stars only because one lazy barista doesn't ruin the store and I've had standard experiences here in the past. Will update my review if they prove to be a more reliable location. read more

My favorite Starbucks in the Kirkland/Redmond/Bellevue area! Very capacious with a multitude of seating options. There's also an outside patio area with seating, great for sitting! I love the inside since it has AC for those hot summer days (you know what I mean)! However, it can be cold if you wear short sleeves, so a cover up is recommended. I come here all the time to do my work as I'm a busy lady. Lastly, service is through the roof! Kind and hardworking employees who treat their customers with the respect a thousand kings deserve. Please note, the music can be a little loud, so I like to bring noise-canceling headphones to work, but that is just a general observations I've noticed in every Starbucks in the world. The food is what you expect from any Starbucks, my favorite is the warmed up chocolate croissant. I recommend to get it warmed up because the chocolate melts in your mouth, the Parisian way! This is literally my worst Starbucks experience. I haven't used the drive thru for a while and their ordering voice system was not working so I bypassed it and went directly to the window. I wait almost half an hour(notice that it's a midnight line) already but then was told that: "you missed the chance to order and you have to drive around to get to the end of the line and wait another half an hour. " How stupid is that? I was trying to argue with the barista and have her just make the drink adhoc but she refused to do it and said some nasty racism curse words and shut the window. This is my regular Starbucks. I love the staff there and my drink is made the way I like it. I do have to say that I usually do the mobile order to be quick, but lately I have been finding that the mobile order parking stalls are being used by regular customers. I know these are being used by regular customers because I walked in behind a lady who ordered her drink at the register and then sat down at a table and started to unpack her bag. And there were no other mobile orders waiting. Luckily I had my husband with me so he dropped me off and drove around the block since there were no stalls available. Not a huge deal but it is a bit irritating. Otherwise it's a great location to hang out or meet up with friends. Or just pick up a cup of coffee. read more

I have to admit this is one of the coolest Starbucks cafe I have ever been to! Very spacious for working, studying or chatting with friends. This Starbucks is one of the only ones open late on the east side. They are open late till 2 am and reopen at 5 am. This Starbucks is one of the very few Starbucks that serve wine and appetizers! I think its really cool but it also fit this Starbuck's atmosphere. They have a lot of selection for their wines and really yummy flatbread. Apparently, this Starbucks location is one of the busiest locations in the state. Surrounded by Google and Microsoft it can get really busy and hectic in there. One downside is that it is the only one open late at night, so there is usually no study tables open if you come too late. The parking is also very limited and you have to park across the street into the next plaza or at Jiffy Lube. read more

This is a busy location, open 24/7 at the drive-thru, and ~22 hours in the lobby. It runs like a well-oiled machine, with a team that knows how to work together. The club chairs are gone, but this place still packs em in: from early morning study groups, and the local PD beginning/ending their shifts, mixed with tech and retirees, to the PSL brigade, lunch crowd, etc., as the day goes on. My 5-stars is partially to make for for the CB who seemed to have lost her sh!t over what employees do on their breaks. This is store better off if that CB doesn't go back. I love this store. So cool inside & the baristas always seem so happy.
