Gotten mobile orders here a few times. This morning, 8/26 I stood directly in front of mobile pick up station to b ignored by all the female workers there. I stood there for 3 entire minutes while no one greeted me or asked if I had a pick up. Several other people came in and out and got served immediately when they walked up but for some reason these girls wouldn't even acknowledge me. Elizabeth who ignored me the entire time I stood there suddenly asked if I had a mobile order once she saw I went to the front register to try to get helped. Ignored me the entire time I stood in front of her then when she saw me walk to the front register she was suddenly ready to be of service. My drink was sitting without ice in it and the lid off the entire time I was in the store. Absolutely made me feel like I was invisible or like they purposely were avoiding helping me. Never will place an order at this location again. Terrible service. read more

Called Starbucks to explain that there was a problem with one of our drinks. Whenever we have a problem we let them know. Not too many problems but when you pay almost $6.00 for a drink, you want it right. This time boy was I shocked at the managers response. When the manager came to the phone, we asked who we were speaking with. She stated her name was Zulaka. We explained the problem about the chocolate curls on the top (yes these are amazing) but she proceeded to argue saying that they were there. We explained they weren't. This lady/manager was so rude. We told her that we would stop going there and the response that came out of her mouth was unbelievable. Her response was just simply... "Awesome!"! What a way to treat customers, especially those who go to your establishment daily and multiple time's. We are Starbucks regulars and should be treated with more respect. Anyone should he treated better even if it's their first time there. Beat the clock. Drinks: Everything from a banana split frappe, chai mocha frappe, London fog, chai tea latte, black iced tea, very berry refresher, and everything in between. Takes: If you order anything not on the menu, you can definitely just tell them what goes in your drink, and they'll they'll make it. Service: Their service is the one that sets them apart from other branches. All the baristas are so friendly and do their utmost best to get you in and out the door, especially during the peak hours. Impressed. I recently went during their crazy happy hour. In the door at 4:51pm, my heart is sinking that no way, with this line knowing my luck, happy hour would end just in front of me. Order in by 4:57pm. They were even able to accommodate the people who came 5 mins after me. Excellent, baristas in LM! With 2 at the register, 1 getting the orders speeding up the line, and the 4 making the beverages, you have your sys spot on. I come here all the time for my Frappuccino's. They have a nice variety of iced teas. The customer service there is top notch. No one ever complains about anything there. I only hear good things about this place. Nothing quite like it. They have a few tables outside of their nice and cool patio with music playing on their speakers. Good vibes. It started out there was nothing on the fap menu. Then she was selling me out on star fruit drink, which she couldn't explain well enough. After I made a decision and wanted to use my points. She immediately charged me without using me points. She then subtracted everything and couldn't fix it. Mann... I said if she can't fix it, just leave e that be. This Starbucks is one of many I come to for getting homework done. Plenty of seating, but it's a busy site. Expect to share seats if you plan to stay awhile! No codes on the bathrooms! Service is pretty fast every time I've been there and their employees have always been attentive and relatively nice! Parking can be a problem for those looking to get something quick and no drive thru! Nevertheless, I would trust them to make your drink! They do a great job at making them taste just right! I'm sure you know what I'm taking about when I say that there are other establishments that lack drink making quality-- definitely not here! Friendly workers, plenty of seating, and lots of parking available in this large plaza. The only downside to this Starbucks is that they don't have a drive-thru, but I'm okay with that because this Starbucks is a little larger than most because of it. read more

This Starbucks is occasionally good. But recently I went to study over there and the people working were very rude. The place closed at 10 and one of the workers kept reminding me that they were closing constantly and it was very distracting. Then when it was 10 I was already aware to go but one of the workers still told me their closed in very rude manner. I thought Starbucks was to be a great place to study at all times of operation. But these workers seemed to want to get me out early when constantly reminding me of the time a half hour before they close. Very unpleasant. read more

best dining room and parking lot in the area! There are two Starbucks closer to me than this one, but I go to this one to sit and hang out in the evening. Now if only you could squeeze more tables in this place, it would be better! Tip: the table closest to the bathrooms is fairly wobbly. easy fix with a few cup covers under a couple of the feet. Advice for the one star people: be clear, concise, and polite when making your order and you will be treated as so in return. After seeing a movie in La Mirada, I stopped in with my two young nephews for a coffee to warm up. I ordered and gave the barista my card to pay. She was not able to get the register to read the strip on my card and advised that she could not put it through manually. When asked why, she replied, "how do I know this is your card? We have too much of a porblem with fraud so I'd rather not." Surprised at her response, I took my card and went next door to Panera. They had no problem putting my card through and I got my coffee along with pastries for the kids. The barista needs a lesson in tact and common courtesy; maybe another job is in order. read more

The service here is GOD AWFUL. Where do I begin????? They take FOREVER to take orders and they have no interest in being polite unless you're one of their friends. I say this because I've stood in line FUMING as they mindlessly babble on with people they CLEARLY know outside of work and then when I FINALLY make it to the front, it's like being waited on by a zombie. Stopped here on Thanksgiving morning 2013 to pick up coffee and bagels because the next door Panera was closed. Won't be coming back. Service was rushed, lacking in warmth, and might charitably be described as perfunctory. I was served what I did not order, wasn't given the option of declining it when ordering, and - upon waiting in line, again, to get a refund for something I had requested in the first place - was told my order is typically served with the upgrade. I.e., it was my fault the order was wrong. It would have been nice had I been asked what I wanted instead of served and charged for what I was expected to take. When I brought my experience to the clerk's attention, my voice was entirely drowned out by the background music, and upon repeating loudly enough to be heard, I appeared to be yelling. Naturally I was then perceived as threatening ("why is this guy shouting about his order?") and I simply gave up. Apologies from the clerks involved were far less meaningful than it would have been to have simply slowed just a tiny bit and actually served me. Was it really that crowded that the extra fifteen seconds listening to my order would have mattered? The coffee is good, but it's overpriced, and provided by inattentive persons disinterested in anything I have to say; I have a teenager at home, I don't have to go out for service like that. read more

It was empty when I walked in, so I knew I'd get fast business. Yippee!!! The girl working the espresso machine was friendly and said "hi" right away as I approached the counter. She made my drink quickly. The cute part was she had hiccups. She kept hiccuping the entire time. After she handed me my drink she wished me a good day. I wished her that I hope she gets rid of her hiccups. I left Starbucks with my favorite drink, an iced mocha. I usually hit this Starbucks just right. I've only had to wait once in a really long line. Most of the time I get there before the crowd hits. I like to joke that I brought the crowd with me when that happens. It makes me feel better that I was able to get in and out. Just to let you know, this Starbucks shares a parking lot with Carls Jr. and Panera Bread. So there is definitely competition for parking spaces. read more

My BF and I were standing in front of the register, face to face with the barista and she did not even greet us. Okay fine, so he tell her our order. Then she starts carrying on a (i kid you not) 3 minute conversation with her coworker about the latest gossip. Finally she turns to us again and says, 'what?" Are you serious??? I love their coffee but no longer want to go to this location due to the inconsistency of service when I pick up my mobile orders. I have come into the store a number of times to pick up my drink in the area where you pick up mobile orders and I can see that my drink is sitting on the back counter but I end up waiting for them to place it into the designated area. Minutes go by so I usually end up having to go up to the cashier and tell them that I am there for a mobile order. They usually tell me to pick up mobile orders on the other side ( and I'm not stupid. I can read the sign that says where to pick up mobile orders) but then I have to go and tell them that I can clearly see my drink on the back counter and I can clearly see that some of the ice in my drink has already started to melt. They will usually look at me weird and I end up being right ---it was my drink sitting on the back counter the entire time and this is the only location I've had out of all the Starbucks in this area where I have this problem with people not being consistent about where they are placing their mobile orders :/. On top of that the area where they place the mobile orders always has a ton of random merchandise that hasn't been stocked neatly surrounding it so it's hard to tell if they're using it or not.. there are other cashiers and barista's who don't do this and for that I deeply appreciate it but this is happened more than three times to me so I finally decided to leave a review. read more

I go to this Starbucks location several days a week for my morning brewed coffee and muffin on the way to work. The staff takes great care to remember customers' names and orders, and I am almost always greeted by name when I enter the store - something that frankly I don't think occurs in California much at all. The 1-star review below describes an experience which is vastly different than what I'm used to from this location, and I think Brian B. would be pleased by a return trip. In terms of food and beverage quality, Starbucks is by-and-large the same no matter where you go. I wanted to really take some time write this because I'm in the customer service business and this was an amazing experience. I bought gift cards and had a huge mishap with activating them that I was trying to fix. Nick who was the Barista that assisted me when purchasing these gift cards the day before was patient and very helpful. I had a long day at work and was under a lot of stress and like I said, I'm in the customer service business, and it's employees like Nick who are the definition of excellent customer service. This Starbucks is one of the better ones. I honestly just come here, get my coffee, and then leave. They're quick and very friendly. I've only had one bad experience here a few months ago but didn't have yelp at the time to share my lovely story. Forgiven only because the person it happened with has significantly improved. Thankfully I have NOT had any other experiences like it ever again. Every other time since then has been bliss. All the girls are so sweet and the guys are easy on the eyes. Maybe I'm just outside the target demographic for this location, since it's fairly close to the university. The location at Imperial/La Mirada offers much better service. read more

This may not be the greatest Starbucks. It's small. But, it's not the worst. The baristas do their job with a smile. But today I was shocked! I was walking out. I asked, 'What time did they close?' A barista says, '10:30 pm. And the one down the road closes at 11 pm'. I look away to pack my stuff and I overhear her say cheerfully, 'I like referring people to other stores.....' I look up at her to smile but she's looking at another person finishing her sentence with a whisper, '....to go away.' I was surprised. I find it rude and disrespectful to customers and her fellow baristas. I was very disappointed because I enjoy the atmosphere at Starbucks. I'd give her name but I'm too kind.
