I ordered a no foam chai tea and it was filled with tons of foam and the sticker shows. It was barely room temp as well. We pay $5 for a drink and it's printed out it should be made right. Almost felt like I was being mocked for ordered no foam. because it was extra foam. Won't be back. read more

They need to pay attention to detail: we ordered three coffees: all different. Instead of labeling what was in each cup, the labels said 1 of 3, 2 of 3 and 3 of 3. Of course we all took the wrong coffee! How lazy. read more

Rarely do I rant. After a cycle ride today I stopped by my local Starbucks and ordered a sandwich and a coffee. I went to pick up my items and asked for a cup of water and was told I needed to go stand back in line and order the free water. The barista told me "she was too busy to handle". I watched two of them stand there for minutes doing nothing and the manager even told her to go on break. What happened to the service once famous at Starbucks? Time to ride out of my way for local coffee and better service. Rant over. read more

If you can get them, they're a great place to gather with friends and catch up. If you can't, you're stuck on the hard wood chairs. Bummer. Customer service always meets my expectations. Very clean Starbucks location with ample seating and friendly staff. I'm from the city, so there's my disclaimer for bias. I happened to stop by here before I visited a relative, and I gotta say Lake Forest has one of the finest social environments in Illinois. You can tell by the tip jar how good the service is. Visited last Sunday late morning, Oct 3. Sign on door clearly requires mask wearing. 3 customers entered without masks. I said something about the mask mandate indoors in Illinois to those customers. One of the female staff members quickly openly defended those non-masks customers and said that this Starbucks is not enforcing the mask mandate. I said OK and promptly asked for and received a refund for my order and I left. Sent a similar notice to corporate Starbucks that day and have not heard back yet. read more

I frequent this Starbucks, but this evening I was a little disappointed. As I walked over to pick up my tea I noticed the barista on the phone talking to a friend and telling them to call back in a few minutes. When she hung up, a young girl had stepped up and politely asked if she could have a straw, but the barista ignored her and started and finished two other drinks. The girl had asked twice, both times the barista acknowledged her and just continue to ignore her request and made her wait, which I thought was a little rude. After I finished, I went to the restroom which was recently cleaned. However, there was such a strong smell of bleach that it made me nauseous. I am glad that they keep their bathrooms clean, but they should not be using a solution so powerful that it leaves a lingering smell. I have never had problems at this Starbucks before. Hopefully this will help make some changes. read more

Ordered coffee online and went inside to pick up my order. I asked for a straw and the girl working there (a barista) threw the straw on the counter. Very rude. Reached to grab a cup holder and the same girl says "don't reach in here" with an attitude. As if she was going to hand it to me nicely if I asked? Ordered a drink with extra room, damn thing filled to the edge with coffee. What the hell. If I pour it out I throw away money, and what's more I want a more concentrated beverage, No room for cream!!!! I posted instead of going back in because I would have lost my shit. I also ordered a cheese Danish, and was asked if I wanted it warmed? I firmly said, "No." The person at the counter opens it and begins finger-fucking it and begins warming it. I told her no, not warmed, she replies with a WTF look! But left a small piece of the wrapper in the danish. I'm the customer, if I wanted my order fucked I know where to go. My wife who is picky about her coffee goes to this location often. She talks about the staff, service and overall operations in such a positive light. The times I'm here no matter the employee. I guess on some level all Starbucks are the same. Whats different about this location is the set up. Its really nice inside and outside. Its in a strip mall but a corner space so its easy to see from the street. The location really is prime. Right by a metra station, a mcdonalds, and across from a sunset foods. Lake Forest is money money money so it doesn't surprise me that this Starbucks is extra pretty. The outside seating is generous in size and has plenty of tables. The inside has more open space than a standard Starbucks and many of those fun cozy chairs instead of the less than comfortable wooden ones. As for my coffee fix, I got a Venti Mocha Cookie Crumble Frap. Chocolate, coffee, and a whole lot of sugar. So good and worth every sip that I am sure when straight to my ass. read more

This place is great. Perfect to study, read a book, or meet friends. Nice outside seating and inside space too. There is usually plenty of parking. The staff are REALLY nice and friendly. I'm not a huge starbucks fan but just for the atmosphere and happy staff I come here often. read more

I'm so glad that they finally put a Starbucks in West Lake Forest. This place is perfectly placed right across from Sunset Foods and right in the middle of all of my weekly errands so its wonderful to stop in for a midday treat. The staff appears friendly and the interior is very clean and new, which is pretty much typical of all Starbucks. The nice thing is that for a Lake Forest Starbucks they seem to get a relatively low amount of high-maintenance moms stopping by, so its enjoyable to get a cup of coffee and drink it right in the store. It's not the largest Starbucks I've ever been to but it's definitely there to give me my caffeine fix. The outside seating is also a huge plus. read more

Starbucks has gotten my friends order wrong many times. She had asked for a vanilla bean frappucino with 2 pumps of peppermint and 2 pumps of WHITE mocha syrup. However, they gave her CHOCOLATE mocha syrup and they repeated it back to her with the word WHITE! read more

As I entered, seeing the usual congregation of patrons sitting and sipping coffee at their various tables and seats, I could feel the expected tranquility that came with visiting a coffee shop. The cashier was to-the-point, an attribute I often commend, but may not suit the hospitality needs of every individual. The service was fast; no more than a minute, I'd presume. The coffee I ordered (a flat white, as it seems to have attracted a following) was -- as one may expect from a chain business like Starbucks -- unexceptional, though by no means untasteful. Over all, I would state this establishment's best quality to be its convenience, residing no more than a minute's walk away from my nearby campus. read more

Check your cup of coffee before you leave. Last time I was there they only filled it about 2/3 full! Like I'm going to fill the remaining 1/3 with cream? Usually Starbuck's asks if you want room for cream, milk, whatever. But this place turned a venti into a grande without even asking. read more
