Highlighting another 1970's established American company is Starbucks started in 1971 in Seattle. I'll be honest Starbucks isn't one of my favorite companies out there, but my local location in Maryland City does a great job for the most part. Staff is generally nice, and most of the times have been efficient. My girlfriend & I most recently tried their coconut drink. We were cuckoo for coconut; it was great! Having been a partner when I was just starting to work in high school, it made me smile to hear her outlook on conflict management. Great leadership qualities, they're are a 20/10! A true bridge. I came to this Starbucks after being frustrated from the other Starbucks 3 miles from here. I called first and she said yes they had gift card holders. I came in and was greeted with a friendly smile. She was very helpful and the receipt got caught up in the machine. I told her it's ok and she was like, "no, if you need to keep the receipt we want to make sure you have a clean and clear one". It's little things that mean a lot. This place was so cool! It kind of looked like a bank, which was super cool for people like me in the drive thru. The people at the Starbucks were super nice, and respectful to me, the customer. (The service was also super quick!) The drink I got was called the Chocolate Cookie Crumble with extra cream. They take your order seriously, because it was so creamy when I sipped it. I was very dissatisfied with the service. I was trying to redeem my rewards for Starbucks merchandise. When it comes to the merchandise, I was under the impression that I would get a free merchandise with 400 points since that is what it says on the app. But it appears that only $20 was taken off and I had to pay a balance. Which to me is false advertisement. Nowhere on the app does it says $20 off. After expressing this to the "manager", I was then instructed to call customer service. I do believe there was something else that could have been done but then again, I am not much of a frequent visitor at this location. But this experience has definitely left a distasteful impression and has me considering whether or not I should further support such a business. read more

I am a Starbucks lover and this location is awesome! From the outside you would think it's small but it is actually very spacious and I think because people go more through the drive thru because it has this awesomeness, finally I can literally grab and go and not have to go out of the way. Location: It's located in a shopping center so bring extra cash because the big red do is in the parking lot. There's plenty of parking spaces and additional spaces for the shopping center you could park in. Customer Service: Occasionally I can be that drinker, the one that sound like she made four orders but it's one drink, but hey the price justifies that I must specify lol. So I take a little time at the register but they are always patient and suggest new drink combos. They don't rush you out, I occasionally use the wifi to work from home. Honestly the slowest Starbucks I've ever been to and just calling it slow is honestly an understatement. Either every car is getting 10 drinks or it literally just takes them 15+ minutes per drink to make it. Seriously need some retraining or rehiring at this location because it's ridiculous. Asked for light ice bc I take forever to drink these and they start to get watered down from the ice when I can't drink them fast enough. The ice is literally almost to the top. Asked for a refund or to even make a new one with less ice and they refused. There's 3 different Starbucks near by go to a different one. Not here. read more

I love this Starbucks! It's on my way to the pool I belong to so I stop by often. Looks can be very deceptive. It looks small from the outside, the inside is big & very CLEAN! All of the extras you would want for your drinks, are very well stocked. Napkins, sugar, stirrers, half and half, etc. The employees are very friendly, quick with your orders. I really want to like this location bc the baristas are lovely! Always smiling, sometimes upgrading the size of my drink, and I've had many nice conversations with them. The pitfall is the drive-thru. In part because of the service and also due to the fact that people in general are inconsiderate and make large or complicated orders in the drive through. There have been instances when i end up on the line, and get stuck in the drive thru for 20-25 minutes. Which is absurd. There were two occasions where it was apparent that a newer individual was at the window. I can respect and understand that. However transparency and an apology for the wait would've gone a long way. Yes, the individuals working here are not entirely at fault for lengthy orders. However, I would raise the idea of asking an individual to park while their order is prepared so people like myself, who order coffee and not frappes can get on their way in a reasonable window. For such a large starbucks location, they definitely have room to improve. I won't stop going bc it's conveniently up the road from my house. Plus, the baristas make terrible drive thru waits tolerable! Haha. read more

I consistently come to this Starbucks and every time the employees are so nice and polite. I feel like it's hard to get kind service these days but this location always delivers. They deal with a lot of the morning rush from Fort Meade so it does get busy, especially the drive through. The mobile order has been go to and I'm able to make it to work on time. My drinks are always good, the maybe one or two times it wasn't I called in and they remade it for me the next morning which I truly appreciate. Great customer service here. read more

I always order Starbucks every morning and this place has short my order so many times with my coffee! My grande would be found half full or 2/3 full. I recommend anyone who orders a hot drink to check to see if they filled it up or fluff your order with whipped cream to make up for the shortage in coffee. read more

Beautiful new location. Drive thru. Parking was a bit tight but I parked in the large parking lot across the store. The inside of the store was large and open spaced. The decor was bright and simple. Thy compost!! So you can pick up a bag of grinds if you'd like. And they also support our veterans as they have adopted a unit and send coffee and other donations to deployed service members. Love the space to work in this Starbucks! There is a shared table as soon as you walk in and I just sat there with my laptop and charged it. I ordered my usual matcha tea latter and expresso shot and it was great! Customer service is A1, they ask how you are and they have genuine conversations. I will come back to work or have coffee. Three stars might seem a little harsh, but I feel like since the opening of this location, I've experienced a decline in customer service in an interesting way. I believe the drive thru staff means to be polite, but they are coming across as rude, which is the reason for this review. I go through the drive thru every morning and I am a gold card holder/regular... I know what I want. It never fails that when I pull up, they immediately ask me if I want food and if I say no, they don't back off and let me give a drink order, they question me! They say, 'Are you sure? You don't want *insert baked good?* You don't want to try *insert sandwich*? Are you sure?' YES I'M SURE. Take my drink order and let me carry on. It puts me in a bad mood and it has happened so often that I'm considering taking my business back to the other Starbucks near my house. I am not coming to starbucks daily and spending $5 on coffee to have someone try to upsell me further, so please stop. read more

Well Starbucks is Starbucks and we all know that. I came in here to study for a bit and I loved it. This was a large Starbucks and there was plenty of seats and tables for studying. The other Starbucks closer to my house were smaller and less comfortable. There are also many outlets to charge your products. I didn't really deal w the staff bc I used mobile order so I can't speak on their service. My drink was made pretty quickly. The music in Starbucks is loud and there are lots of ppl having meetings so I suggest bringing headphones to study. Otherwise, it's a great place to get some work done. read more

Nitro machine messed up, I came back in to get another drink and wait 15 mins to "double check" the nitro machine, wait for another drink because the nitro is broken and then wait while they find their "locked up" your next drink on us cards. I have been going to Dunkin' Donuts for a while and avoided Starbucks but I decided to give it a try again went to the drive-through order just a regular dark roast coffee. They advise they were out of dark roast and If would take medium roast instead which was fine. I remember in the old days they would offer free coffee if they didn't have your first choice but I guess that's the old days. I got my coffee I drove off from the drive-through and the coffee was lukewarm at best. I parked the car went inside and asked him if I could have a warm coffee because this luke warm. They knew exactly what I was talking about and said oh yes right away like they knew they gave me a cold cup of coffee and said we have a fresh pot right here then I got a halfway decent cup of coffee. I've visited this Starbucks on several occasions but I won't go back after my last visit. First the in store area is filthy and that was really the end all for me. In addition to being dirty they don't have a single employee that can make a drink correctly and even after requesting it's remade it still will be wrong. I went thru the drive thru and ordered a frap and was not given a straw. Now with a cold brew you can drink it without a straw but not a frappe. So I asked for a straw and they gave me a short one that sank down in the cup. I said can I please get one of the longer straws, the girl says, "we are out of them"! I ask for a refund..no refund...I ask for a manager. Manager is of no use, literally no understanding or concept of customer service and shouldn't be running a Starbucks or any facility where food or beverage are sold. He saw nothing wrong with serving drinks that require straws and not having straws. It's sad that this location is soooo bad because it's convenient. I won't go back and I love Starbucks! This location needs new management and someone to come in and clean the place up top to bottom and fire all the employees and start fresh or at the very least retrain the awful employees they have. read more
