I placed an order through the app because the estimated wait time was only 3-6 minutes. After placing the order, the estimated time changed to 8-13 minutes. I was on my way to work and didn't have much time to spare, so I went inside to ask if I could cancel the order. Ary, who was working at the front, was extremely kind and helpful. Before canceling my order, he offered to check whether it was almost ready so I wouldn't have to cancel unnecessarily. He asked his coworker, Sophia, about the order, and unfortunately, her response was incredibly rude and unnecessarily snappy. She responded that the order had "only been placed 4 minute ago," which I was already aware of. I wasn't demanding that my food be ready I was perfectly willing to cancel because I knew I was short on time. What bothered me most was her attitude toward both me and her coworker, who was simply trying to help a customer. Ary asked her another question, and once again, she was extremely short and rude. At that point, I actually told him, "It's okay, let's not ask her anything else," because she's clearly having a bad day and now we're both uncomfortable. Everyone has bad days, but there was absolutely no reason for Sophia to speak to a customer or her coworker that way. Her attitude was unnecessarily hostile, and I genuinely think additional customer service training would be beneficial. If you're working in a customer facing position, basic courtesy and professionalism should be expected. On the other hand, Ary was wonderful. He remained polite and helpful throughout the entire interaction, processed my refund without any issue, and helped me get on my way so I could make it to work on time. He is exactly the type of person who should be working in customer service, and I really appreciated how he handled an otherwise uncomfortable situation. read more

I purchased a drink here and, while walking to pick up my food nearby, stopped back in to ask for a cup of water. It wasn't busy, I had my receipt showing I had just made a purchase, and the staff still refused, saying water was only for customers actively enjoying their drinks in the café. Manager Marc seemed more preoccupied with being friendly with men customers at the establishment than providing or prioritizing service. He didn't seem overly interested in serving me because I was a woman. Marc was just talking and he didn't like it when I requested service. His charm stopped being appealing due to his authoritative ways as he went over board by not willing to give me a bathroom combination. I sincerely hope the Marcs selective favoritism stops and doesn't rub off on his employees so that the rest of us can get served too, without interference to business. Just because his employees like him (maybe because they don't have a choice) and I like the Brentwood / San Vicente location, I was willing to give him a chance but he didn't take it. Marc was in front, totally not interested. I believe his odd and discriminatory ways, will create further problems for him. After the order is taken, Starbucks tries to get the drink ready in 4 minutes, and that is great but how long does a customer have to wait to have their order taken. At the end, another employee ended up serving me. Frankly, she should have been the manager and things would flow smoothly not because she is a woman but because she, stepped up to do her job. Their latte was good too :)) They have a great outdoor seating area in case you want to hang out outside. I preferred staying indoors today since the weather has been unpredictable lately. read more

This has to be the worst Starbucks ever - the people who work there are far more concerned with talking amongst themselves and ignoring the customers or getting the customers order wrong than they are about helping anyone. Was inspired today by the crap service and lack of getting my order correct to delete the app and never come back - Starbucks had already closed their decent stores in the area and all that are left around here now are their crap service stores - don't waste your time - so many places available now have much better coffee and morning treats with better service for better pricing anyway! Drinks come out very fast in are good, but the service sucks. Some of the workers are rude and have a lot of attitude.

Unfortunately this is one of the slowest Starbucks I've experienced. Most of the staff are nice, but there's one employee named Nessa who unfortunately has a bad, off-putting attitude to customers and is very unlikable, I'm not sure they should have her on their team. There's times I order more than 10 minutes before on the app and it's still not ready, at 12 mins, 13 mins later... I tell them I'm going to be late for work, they don't seem to understand. I try to be nice but damn this place needs some feedback for their business! Hope they improve. read more

This a real happening Starbucks in the heart of Brentwood that has lots of indoor and outdoor seating and great! People Waltching. They also have a little grass area park on the side with some seats. VERY expensive rental location. So the prices here are about 10% more than the other Starbucks in the area. Parking on the street at meters or walk it from away free street parking. read more

I'm a regular at Starbucks and I literally get a cup of coffee and a pastry every single day. Sad enough today I had the worse encounter at this location. I entered the store and asked JENIFFER for a small cup of water for my three year old. She turned around and with attitude refused and said I'm sorry I can't give out a cup of water for free and I said that's no problem I can pay for the cup and she still refused and asked me to purchase a bottle of water. I told her I'm a regular at Starbucks and I tried to even show her the app on my phone that I was actually at a Starbucks earlier today and I invest on average $10.00 a day there. She still refused and I decided not to purchase the water and walked out. She made the drink on the spot and put the ice blended drink in the wrong cup--a sipping cup! Worst coffee shop ever we were there on Thursday 18th morning the young man who was working there around 10 am . Took orders for 3 white chocolate mocha swiped my gold card which had the funds and then disappeared in the back for 15 then 30 minutes and never bought the coffees out we were just waiting and kind of left without any explanation. I've been to this location a few times and literally all of the women barista's are extremely nice. If you ask for siracha or anything extra they are kind and respectful. Today was not the best experience. I asked the male barista with the beard for a simple siracha for my egg white bites bc I originally ordered through the app, but ended up having to grab another drink for a coworker. Initially, I said very politely excuse me and he already seemed agitated and told me he needed to wash his hands b/c he had been outside, this was understandable. I politely asked for a 2 slot cup holder for my drinks and then stated that I would also need siracha. He proceeds to tell me that it should be in my bag, which it wasn't I had already checked there and so then he tells me next time to order that through the app. I was still placing my croissant and my egg white bites in the bag when he proceeded to tell me that if I've already ordered to move to the side, so other customers can get their orders. The problem with this is that he knew I already ordered and was trying to get my things into the bag, so that I could move. Me and another customer laughed b/c the passive aggressive behavior was extremely off putting. Mind you there were other customers at the counter and no one seemed disgruntled besides the employee. He was just rude and I didn't enjoy the experience. It's a shame because I like coming to this Starbucks, but I can't fathom continuing to patronize an establishment where I can be possibly mistreated. Really nice after the remodel but they cut the seating space by more than half, it's only on one side and the long table is gone, just a handful of individual tables. This place is close to home and is filled with friendly employees. I was thinking of purchasing a parfait cup till I got closer to the register when I feasted my eyes on a couple items I have never seen before. These Sous Vide Egg Bites were recommended to me in the past, but I never got a chance to try them. I went for it this time around and purchased the Chicken Chorizo and Tortilla Sous Vide Egg Bites ($4.65 with 230 calories and 15 grams of protein according to the labeling). I didn't want coffee at the time, so I went for a cup of tea. Everyone was very welcoming and the barista was helpful in helping me choose a beverage that would give me an energy boost. Specifically, I ordered a tall Earl Grey tea to start off my day right. After about fifteen minutes, I was on a roll and got so much work done. Of course, during this time, I was waiting to make sure my meal was at the right temperature before taking my first bite. When my teeth sunk in to this savory breakfast, the item was so soft and gooey with a hint of warmth and flavor that made the experience a memorable one. It had some spice in it, but this was surely a nice touch. Each egg bite took about 5-6 bites to finish. Didn't want the meal to end, but it was so worth it for my first time. There is parking alongside the curb, but it was full when I got there, so I parked a little further on San Vicente. Parking info is on the image attached. On the positive side: The renovations are amazing! Much more comfortable. The service is overall friendly and efficent. Downside: They play their music very loud and inconstantly. It's hard to have a conversation when they jack up the sound. There is one woman, she may be the supervisor or team leader, or at least someone who seems to be in charge, I find to be unpleasant. She yells and treats customers and employees punitively. Otherwise, I would rate this store a 4 or 5. read more

I like that they are bigger than most neighborhood Starbucks. God to come and work but it's not quiet. So would not do a conference call or anything like that. It is a coffee shop after all. But they have wifi and outlets at the tables which is good for laptops etc. They also have a selection of juices, teas and fruit items if you don't want coffee etc. I like the Chorizo Egg Sandwhich warmed. This neighborhood Starbucks is almost always busy! It's located in a busy corner in Brentwood so that comes to no surprise. I usually order from the mobile app and just do pickup. My orders have been accurate almost every single time, and it's usually ready by the time I get there. There's a few seating outside and some inside with lots of outlets along the walls, so it's a good place to get some work done if it's not too crowded.
