The worst Starbucks experience I have ever had. I am a diabetic and urgently needed restroom access to administer my insulin injection before a long drive home. Despite explaining my medical condition multiple times and informing the manager that I had purchased a large latte there earlier for over $10, I was denied restroom access in an extremely rude and aggressive manner. The manager repeatedly shouted at me, stated that my medical condition was "not her problem," and refused to help unless I purchased something again. Because I was unable to take my insulin injection in time, I nearly lost consciousness, collapsed near my car, injured my leg, and was later taken to the hospital by my family. This behavior was inhumane, unacceptable, and deeply discriminatory toward a person with a serious medical condition. I demand an explanation regarding this manager's conduct. read more

This Starbucks location in Mar Vista has always been my go-to, but for the past two months, they've been renovating. Today was my first time back, and I walked into what might be the most beautiful Starbucks I've ever seen. The redesign is modern, welcoming, and just elevates the entire experience. Beyond the aesthetics, the customer service was absolutely impeccable. The moment I walked in, the team greeted me warmly--one barista even joked about me "cheating" on them since I hadn't been in for a while. I had to laugh as I explained that I'd just been on a little coffee hiatus! On top of that, the efficiency was on point. I placed a mobile order, and by the time I walked in--literally two minutes later--it was already waiting for me. very friendly staff and quick service, but don't recommend working on your laptop from this location. the tables and chairs are too low/uncomfortable and music is a bit too loud. Can you tell I am running out of places to Yelp? I am not a coffee drinker. LOL I usually get snacks or non caffeine drinks from Starbucks. This one is near Mitsuwa and has an outdoor seating area, which is good. It also has a small parking lot. There is a florist next door. Starbucks are pretty much all the same. Sterile, franchise fast food. Here, if you do a mobile order they typically have someone there to ask your name for the order. They're pretty decent about it rather than having you wait since the orders are held behind the counter (not a cafe you'd leave your valuables unattended either). Lots of seating inside and outside. It's never the cleanest. Parking is fine on the SW corner of Venice and Centinela. Like most Starbucks, they opened up here because of all the local, high quality, cafés in the area. I work nearby, and this is one of the most convenient Starbucks I've ever been to. It takes me about 5 minutes to drive from my work to Starbucks, and I place a mobile order while I'm walking to my car, and the order is always ready by the time I get to the Starbucks (even when I order their more complicated drinks). The parking is good for people who want to just pick up their coffee and go. I wouldn't order something from here if I was in the mood to work at a cafe. I'd go to one of the other cafe's nearby, but fantastic for grab & go. read more

I tried the Citrus Defender (made with steam lemonade) for a dosage of vitamin C and it was quite good. Feels more like a healthy vs tasty drink. Great on a cold rainy day when you feel a bit under the weather. I ordered it via the Starbucks app on my phone and my order was ready within 5 minutes!! I just walked in, picked up my order from the right corner counter and left. So convenient! I am hoping a manager sees this. I visited this SB around 9:10 AM. It wasn't busy, so that was nice. There was a woman with her dog in front of me. That is ok too. I like it when animals are welcome. HOWEVER, this woman, allowed her dog to have its paws ON the counter where we pick up drinks. Apparently she was a regular. NO ONE DID ANYTHING. Again, I LOVE dogs. If you want your dog on your table at home, knock yourself out. This behavior in a public space is plain rude and inconsiderate and should have not been allowed, (as it was this morning). Also, the BIG GIANT table in the middle of the room was FILTHY! Filled with crumbs and even HAIR!!!!! I kid you not. It wasn't busy and would have taken an employee ONE MINUTE or less to check and clean this very prominent common area which no one in there right mind would use. SHAME on you STARBUCKS on Venice. This Starbucks is a little on the small side but has more space outside. This my local SB which I can walk to which I love. Sometimes it can get packed in the parking lot so there is a sense of needing to leave vs hanging out or studying at some of the larger locations. However, the service is awesome. I came here not feeling well because of a cold and a argument with my guy but the barista was super sweet and gave me lots of honey for my tea.
