Covering tons of orders on the weekend of Fourth of July, Anime Expo, and The World Cup is a major feat. The crew here was professional, FAST, and had a superb work flow. I ordered ahead of time on the mobile app and received my food according to their approximate time. Nothing ever dropped in quality, the refreshers were still tasty and the food was up to standard. I was a happy AX attendee, I relied on Starbucks for several breaks and it was a refuge during breakfast time. My wife wanted to stop by this Starbucks in LA Live plaza when we were visiting the Grammys Museum. We came in the morning so the store wasn't busy. My wife got herself the iced chai latte and I got the mango dragonfruit. We asked for light ice for both of our drinks. To use the bathroom here, you'll need a code. It's not that spacious inside so it's meant for you to just get your drinks here. They didn't take long to make our drinks and put light ice like we asked. Our drinks tasted great. read more

FOOD/DRINKS This location had the friendliest baristas and made me so happy to stop by. Griseld was super friendly and more than accommodating. I got the strawberry matcha bread for the first time and it was so tasty. They were out of the banana bread matcha (which is my favorite), so I got one of my other go to's the lavender matcha iced but with extra cream cold foam. I also got their grilled cheese which At this location you get to pick your own and then they heat it up for you, which I liked. SERVICE I ordered a sandwich and had somehow ordered the wrong one so when I got it I let the barista know. They were happy to replace and make me the one I originally meant to order free of charge. There was only 1 person in front of me so I was in and out of there very fast. That location is in LA Live but surprisingly and conveniently not crowded. I will definitely be back. AMBIANCE This place didn't have seating inside but had areas for you to stand/lean and enjoy your drink. It was small but left room in case there were a lot of people inside at once. The place is not too big and no tables to sit at there is a bar top counter in a L shape where you can hang at other than that it seems more of a grab and go type Starbucks not a place to spend hours doing school work or business work. The Starbucks is located right in the LA live Plaza. The great things they take mobile orders here. I was staying at a nearby hotel and was able to order my drink right on the app and luckily with it not being too busy on a non-event day. The plaza wasn't too busy there wasn't much going on so my drink was done really quickly. Barista was extremely nice. The location is more designed to be grab and go. There aren't too many places sit at all inside and there's a good selection of drinks, snacks, and other items. When prices are super high everywhere else and especially so if there is an event in the area, you can always count on Starbuck's consistency. I ordered one of their Tropical Citrus Iced Energy drinks here (venti sized) and within the less than 10 minutes it took me to order from the app and walk myself over from the con center, it was ready within seconds of me arriving. This is WITH the crowds of people their for Anime Expo as well. Great and efficient staff, ready to serve the crowds with smiles on their faces. This is definitely a more pricy Starbucks than others in the area but is conveniently located to the convention center and crypto.com center. I placed a mobile order and it was ready very quickly. I got a cinnamon dolce latte with oat milk and falafel wrap. This was my first time getting a food order at a Starbucks so I was delighted they finally have a good vegan option. I love it when Starbucks has the friendliest workers. They are masters at their craft, and these young ladies are taking their jobs seriously. It is very kind, and this location is very well maintained. Like a well-oiled machine! No one seems to be waiting for too long, and I just ordered a few minutes ago. The taste or my drinks is perfection, they know! The hip young crowd is just waiting patiently, and the reason they are so nice and calm is that these ladies make sure they are seen. I like that! Next to my hotel (JW Marriot) so I highly recommend it. I also like that they have high tables for people to have their drinks and stand while chut chatting. As someone who likes to chill out for a few mins drinking my coffee and eating a pastry at any Starbucks I visit, I appreciate the locations that provide that opportunity (post pandemic). This location doesn't allow for one to chill...there are no chairs to lounge on and while they have mini tables for one to prop a laptop...it's not comfortable. There are like 3 tables outside but it's cold early in the morning! I dare say this location doesn't offer joy or comfort... only coffee, etc. that said, the coffee was reliably well made including them having my favorite pastry and friendly baristas....so that's something. When in doubt for coffee, Starbucks is a safe choice. I'm no coffee snob, but I do know that Starbucks' coffee beans are burnt, nothing like whole milk and favored syrup/sweetener can't mask. Never get Americanos, cold brew, or black coffee here, you'll regret how burnt and bitter the drink taste. Anything else is fine. I must say I love their matcha lattes and iced teas, very refreshing. The pink drink finally made it on the menu, strawberry iced tea with coconut milk instead of water. This Starbucks is at LA Live. Easy to order and pay for your drink. Sadly when events are happening, the wait can be up to 20-30mins for your drink. They are short staffed and the line is nearly beyond out of control. Many First Responders and event security who wanted something warm to drink, walked away. This sadly goes for others. I HIGHLY suggest that this location be better prepared when there will be an insanely amount of people heading to and from the events in and around LALive. This location is terribly mismanaged with mobile orders. I mobile order ahead before coming in each time. Most of the times I've been to this location, many people who place an order in the store after I arrive receive their drinks before mine is prepared. I've had to ask about mine a few times. Defeats the purpose of ordering ahead if they give priority to in store ordering. Staff are otherwise ok. Starbucks in the heart of LA Live. The location was very busy in the morning. I can only imagine what it's like when there is a big event going on at the Staples Center or Microsoft Theater. The employees were friendly enough and handled the crowd of people okay. However, they did look stressed out and in need of more hands to help with the amount of orders coming and going. The wait-time for my drink was longer than what I usually anticipate because of this lack of staffing but my drink was exactly what I ordered. All things considered the location was clean and the wait wasn't as horrible as one might expected despite being crazy busy. read more

SB at LA Live so it's very busy. I like to spend time at SB like a branch office to get work done; so don't like this one. It gets really busy. It's very small with uncomfortable seating and bad layout. They also make you have to ask them to open the bathroom. Not recommended. read more

I want to give a big shout out to the night crew at the Starbucks LA live on February 28th. I picked up an order for Uber Eats which contained two drinks and one of the cups had a defect and leaked all over my car seats and everything. I get that spills happens when you're delivering food, but how the staff handle the situation was impeccable. When I phoned them back to let them know what happened, they immediately asked me if I wanted to come back and they would remake the drinks. The customer wanted this, so of course I went back. While waiting for them to prepare both drinks, the staff was incredibly apologetic for what had happened, provided me with towels to help clean myself up since it had spilled all over me, meet me a hot drink as it was cold outside, and even offered me a gift card for my next drink. Every person that was on staff was kind and they really need to be recognized for their excellent customer service. In the end when I delivered the drinks to the Uber Eats customer I really wanted them to know that this location wanted to provide excellent customer service for him, so the gift card that they so graciously gave me I passed on to him (since I assume that he orders from there quite often as he lives in the neighborhood). With that sad Starbucks corporate, pay attention to the people who were on staff that night. They are exemplary employees who deserve to be recognized for their efforts and one can only hope that more of your employees will take lead from their actions. As an Uber Eats driver I don't really like to take Starbucks orders but I will always take one from LA live location. read more

Friendly service. My issue with them is that they have two bathrooms but only give the code for one of them. It doesn't make sense, and no explanation was given. If they're reserving it for themselves, then that's just kind of strange to me. The thing that bothered me the most is that this one restroom, while gender neutral has no place for feminine products so there are bloody tampons in the trash can stinking up the bathroom. I did bring this up to the staff and all the Gaga impersonator behind the counter said was "It's been that way for a while." Even though I explained "it smells like bloody tampons." This has to be a health code violation. But they don't give a fuck haha. Thanks a bunch Starbucks at LA Live. I won't come here again if I can help it. read more

Last night I visited Starbucks because my sweet daughter took me to a concert at the Nokia Theater La Live Old school performers were there,Cameo,The Dramatics, New Birth,Tierra and Rose Royce.The event was hosted by Eddie Griffin. This Starbucks was really nice the staff awesome and the ambiance very cool. I ordered a breakfast sandwich an english muffin with melted cheddar cheese,sausage and a fried egg, it was hot and soft just delicious a perfect meal to eat before I got my dancing groove on. I also forced myself to get an almond cookie (smile) The cookie was unique it was square and crunchy and when I broke it in half, the texture similar to a soft macron and tasted exactly like a coconut macron. I would definitely order these two again. FYI. This would have been perfect with a hot cup of coffee. The area very safe and secure , this is where you want to be if your hanging out late at night in Los Angeles. I had great food a jamming concert and spent time with my baby girl It can't get any better than this... A happy Cali girl out on the town with my favorite person in the world. read more

I've always been a Big Fan of Starbucks but this location is in my Top 3. We ordered a Venti Pumpkin Spice Latte with 4 pumps instead of 5. Also ordered a Green Tea Frap with no melon syrup and Soy Milk instead of Regular Milk. I Love the way they made or drinks here. It was REALLY GOOD. I've had the same drink order for years but this particular had a special touch. The only downside, now that I know what GOOD taste like, any other Starbucks I visit will have to make my drinks just as good or better. The Best location, Fab drinks, clean area and prompt service. Pretty disappointed with my green tea frap that I ordered. It tasted super watered down with ice. The lines are really long at this location too and napkin dispensers were out. The baristas were nice though. The lack in quality is most likely due to the fact that this location is so busy. I'm still disappointed especially since I used my birthday reward to get the drink. read more
