They tried to charge me for a water. Initially the other worker was going to give me one and then the racist white co worker said I needed to make a purchase for a water that comes from the sink. This is the first time it has ever happened at any location. read more

Visited here after the wildfires. The drinks were the worst I've ever had at Starbucks. They (açaí refresher) were watery and the new compostable cups are horrible because they get soggy fast. The manager Bianca at the Starbucks located at 3990-A Cross Creek Rd, Malibu is very rude and unprofessional. She doesn't take care of regular customers and treats people with a dismissive attitude. This used to be one of my favorite Starbucks locations, but her behavior makes every visit unpleasant. Some say that if you've been to one Starbucks, you've been to them all. I beg to differ. No two SB locations are the same. Some are bad (i.e. watered-down coffee, no restrooms), and some are great. Thankfully, this location is the latter. I stop by this SB location when I head back to LA after visiting friends in Malibu. A quick left on Cross Creek from PCH gets me here. This SB location shares a parking lot with the adjacent businesses, so finding a spot is usually not a hassle. However, I recommend avoiding the parking spots immediately by the lot entrance, as the tree that sits there drops a heavy amount of white sap. It is a pain to wash off the car. The ambiance inside is pretty chill. The service is great... quick and efficient. The baristas are friendly. The place is clean. My go-to drinks, nitro cold brew and ices coffee, always give me the kick of energy I need for the drive home, especially during rush hour. Thanks for the great service. read more

Starbucks and Malibu? Two of my favorite things. I was able to stop by here as I was in PCH to see the sunrise before I go to work. I didn't know this Starbucks was also where the Blue Bottle & Trader Joe's was located! This location is rather small and they also do not have a drive-thru. I was ordering for take-out anyways and I ordered via the app. It was really early in the morning so there wasn't anyone else in the location besides me -- my drink was already ready by the time I arrived which was super convenient. The baristas were super kind and they definitely had the "SoCal chill" vibe despite it being so early in the morning. When I was a student in the area they had them, but perhaps because of the overflow of people they removed them. Nonetheless, I thought there was a basic standardization that Starbucks had and stood for, but I guess not. Wrapping up in Malibu and a little bit of a drive ahead of us, we took the opportunity to get online and place some orders ahead of time (not sure how busy they were). Finished up shopping at the store we were at and headed into Starbucks. They were actually kind of crowded (in my mind) for approx 3:00 in the afternoon. Service was friendly and they let us add on to our order (my wife found something she wanted to get for a friend). Prices are the same as any other Starbucks I've been to .... by the way, if you've ever read one of my reviews you know I didn't get coffee .... rolled with a steamer though, and they made it perfect! We probably won't be through here often, but if we are ever vacationing in this area again we wouldn't hesitate to come back and get drinks at this location again. read more

Due to the local ordinance, all stores in Malibu are required to use paper straws rather than plastic. Unfortunately, the Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino was formulated for plastic straws. As such, the drink does not taste as intended. There is a definite paper aftertaste. The store should consider using the lids designed for cold brew beverages to eliminate the aftertaste. read more

I really liked this Starbucks it's in a great area I went after the farmers market. The service was fast and my butterscotch frap was amazing. My only issue was I couldn't finish my frap because after 10 minutes my paper straw got soggy and undrinkable so I recommend bringing a reusable straw so you don't run into the same problem I did. read more

One of them was an iced tea, when I went to get the drinks the iced tea cup was 3/4 full ( which 2 of those were ice) I kindly ask an old men that made my order " can you please fill it up" he turned around and fill up the cup with more ice, toll him that I did not wanted more ice, that I wanted more tea. This is just your typical Starbucks. The baristas are nice and work quickly to get orders made. Everything is usually well stocked, I have only not been able to get a food item once and I come here pretty regularly. A drawback is that there is no restroom inside, but if you ask you will be redirected across the street to some public restrooms. Also, a pro tip: this location can get pretty busy on weekends and during the summer. So if you walk up and the line is out the door, don't fret. You can order your drink on the mobile app and basically move yourself to the front of the line.
