I'm sure the employees are over worked and underpaid, but I'm still going to have my say. First, to mngmnt, you must have a dedicated cashier. You simply cannot have two baristas, and then leave customers standing at the counter. And standing. And standing. And standing. Watching people make drinks. It's unacceptable Next, even if the baristas are busy, you have to got lift your head, look at the waiting customers and say "Welcome, we'll be right with you." Once a rushed baristas gets to the counter, exasperated, sweaty, not smiling, the experience is long tainted. I can walk into any public facing business and know within a few seconds if it is run well, or not. This one is not a disaster, but there's tons of room for improvement. It's a pity, because LA Colombe has a great product. Too bad the store experience is sub-par. I conclusion: Hire more people. Be polite. read more

I walked by and I saw a sign for Draft coffee and I had to check this out. They have all the flavors you would expect, but they offered a s'mores flavor and I went for it. La Colombe is one of those shops around town that I can always pop into for a reliable coffee. I've never had a bad drink at a La Colombe Coffee Roasters. They call this particular location in Beverly Hills a workshop. I'm not sure what exactly makes it a workshop but it does have a lot of seating where I saw some people hanging and a few working so it can seat all types. Indoor seating only. When you walk in, you're met with a diagonally positioned coffee bar that may have you questioning your equilibrium but nah, you're good. They're just feng shui-ing in a trendy way in here to get all that natural sunlight from the floor to ceiling windows in the front! It's Beverly Hills, babes. I went for a big ol' oat milk latte at that slanted bar and it was as enjoyable a oat milk latte as you could get. It wasn't busy at all just before 11am today on a Friday so I appreciated being able to get in and get out. I was in and out of the shop in less than 3 minutes and that was with me pondering the menu for thirty seconds. I appreciate that they lattes on tap. Never had that before. Coffee shop itself is spacious, with plenty of seating. I don't think the tables are cleaned as often as they should be. The coffee... great. The service... not great at all. Go here for the coffee but don't expect the staff to treat you with any sort of kindness. They'll will treat you like dog poop and will hae zero f's to give about that fact. Not only did the one employee huff like a typical Gen-Zer while he impatiently and rudely declared, "Well I need a starting point in order to help you!" Like, little boy, CHILL! Let me take a moment to decide what I want. I let the people in line go ahead of me and then when it was my turn again, the taller guy that helped me barely listened when I spoke clearly what my order was because he was busy acting like he was too cool for school. I then had to speak my order sternly and little more loud in order for him to get it. There wasn't even any music blaring or anything. It was normal sounds of chatter from the few customers that was there. He just simply was not listening. I sat down on one of the leather pads by the cleanest available table, which they were all dirty, having crumbs and liquid stains, and watched everything else play out. He proceeded to help to young women after me and chastised them and rudely yelled at them to come to the counter so he could describe how he effed up their order by not marking which iced drink was which, and they'd have to sip it to see. That was super professional! (sarcasm) Then the first obnoxious one looked over at me as he was drinking his coffee and realizes he hasn't started my pour over yet. (Eye roll) When I finally got my coffee, it was perfect black. I was happy to leave the low vibes and be on my way. My suggestion is to buy the beans and make the coffee at home instead of dealing with children that don't really want a job, let alone one that is hospitality based because clearly they had no hospitality. read more

I've always loved La Colombe Coffee as I always see their products in grocery stores so I had to support and visit their shop! I got the pumpkin dirty chai draft latte and I'm not usually a pumpkin drink lover but honestly this was one of the best ones I've had. The inside was pretty spacious and definitely a nice place to sit down and catch up with friends. Unlike the one-star review I wrote for Starbucks just before this where the coffee doesn't even smell like coffee anymore La Colombe is exactly what that chain once aspired to be in some utopian dream. They have one job, and they actually do it right: these guys make good coffee! They sell coffee and espresso drinks, and they know what they're doing. I have no problem paying a couple extra bucks for a drink that's genuinely worth it. My only gripe is that the quality can depend on which barista you get that day. Some of them nail it perfectly, while others are just eehhh. That's the only reason I'm not giving a full five stars rating. Maybe better training could make a difference? Overall, it's a super satisfying experience here. Their lattes and cappuccinos are top-notch, and I even picked up a bag of their beans recently, which says a lot for me. If you want coffee that actually tastes like coffee, give this place a try, you won't regret it. read more

First off, parking--good luck. I was there at 7:00 a.m., so I got lucky, but I can see how it'd be a headache later. Then there's the seating. Mostly stools. Only four chairs have backs. Also, it got loud, fast. It was peaceful when I was the only one there, but as soon as the crowd rolled in, I could hear every conversation--through my headphones! I love a lively atmosphere, but maybe not so much at this hour. There is almost never parking spot by their store and It's just hard and long to park at the nearby parking structure and walk to pick up your daily coffee. I wasted an hour trying to connect to my cell phone hot spot with no luck. Total waste of my afternoon trying to be productive... waste of money. Just irritating. It's Beverly Hills, it's a coffee shop, people come here to work on things with their laptops. They need to post somewhere- "Please don't come study or work here if you need WiFi"... honestly that would save a lot of people (new customers) a lot of trouble. They are nice people though. My favorite coffee spot! I'm obsessed with la colombe. The oat draft is my favorite coffee drink of all time. They sell it in cans but it's so much better served fresh. It's so smooth and such a treat! :) If you prefer it sweeter, add a shot of vanilla syrup. But honestly, you probably don't need it since it's slightly sweet by itself. Everyone who works here is always kind. It's also a great spot to sit + hang out with friends. The interior is beautiful. Rich, bold, balanced, and full-bodied. They have fresh pastries in the case that disappear quickly. You can also purchase their own brand of canned ice coffees to go. Highly recommend this place for your coffee fix if you're in the area. A homey ambiance with very cute seatings. You can buy drinks to enjoy in-house or to-go. They also sell whole beans (they do offer to grind it for free) ranging from light to dark roast. They have a good variety of medium and dark roast beans. They also sell some of the most delicious coffee infused chocolate bars. There's literally coffee grounds/pieces infused in the chocolate. They have 2 types to select from (1) Morning Break - milk chocolate option with 35% cacao and 10% coffee or (2) Turkish - dark chocolate option with 70% cacao and 10% coffee. Neither are super sweet. Chocolate for the real adults lol! I did get a cup of hazelnut nitro latte to-go. The flavor was heavenly nutty and it did not taste like the syrup hazelnut flavoring. The milk was thick and creamy. Immediately upon entering, I recognized her from the pic and she was actually really friendly and helpful...so yeah. I'm not a coffee connoisseur like some people and I am just getting back into drinking coffee after quite some time. We stopped by 39 mins before their closing time and they assumed we wanted our drinks to go. However ceramic cup makes a cap so much more enjoyable, so I was them starting to make our iced drink in a plastic cup and I asked to use ceramic for cappuccino. They were very unhappy and reminded me that we would need to finish it within next 15 mins. Yes, cool, but isn't it expected... and if concerned there are different ways to ask.
